At 20wk scan they said 85% boy but he only thinks he saw a penis. Not that i'd be mega dissappointed with a girl it's just that stupidly i've kind of set my heart on a boy now (and the name Noah) so think i'll be better knowing to prepare for a girl if i need to iykwim.

EachPeachPearMum · 17/04/2009 21:29

thats how I felt Phoenix... and it took me about 10 or 12 weeks to come to terms with the fact that it wasn't another girl! (fear of the unknown I think) Are you going to post the pics? (please, please?)
Am excited- the 4d ones are so amazing- so clear, and you will see exactly what baby looks like.

Phoenix · 17/04/2009 21:32

Yes i will def be posting pics. I just hope the baby co-operates to get some good pics

Frizbe · 17/04/2009 21:55

ooooh pics would be great Phoenix Happy Scan.

EPPM {{{{Hugs}}}} its lovely that nursery have done dd a book though, those are great to look back at and smile

Flame, I'm giggling at boy being remembered as stuck!

What are you all upto this weekend then?
I'm glossing dd2's room tomorrow morning, then out with the girls tomorrow night in Nottingham (mum is having the girls, so dh and ss can have a boys night)

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2009 10:55

Been looking up baby names. Have crossed off the one meaning "Fiend", seems a bit too fate tempty!!! As it is dude is living up to immortal what with his falling off everything without incident.

Happy Scan Day!

Not a clue about weekend plans. I ran out of pills (all my own fault, got the prescription on Weds but forgot to get it filled ) so it is taking me a while to get going today. Probably going to attempt to get some of the house sorted - maybe the pile of clothes to be divided into sizes and passed on.

Frizbe - how can I post/link to my lava thing? or do I just add it as a comment?

Frizbe · 18/04/2009 13:55

Hurrah! have officially lost a stone and half as of this am now to drink lots of booze and put it all back on tonight

MRM you could always adopt?
for good exercise, I'm back on the wagon on Monday once school kicks in!
Happy drinking with your friend we can compare hangovers tomorrow!

Flame {{hugs}} for no drugs.
You can either post it as a comment, post it on facebook/start a topic thing for it or if you like send it to me and I can put it on the main bit of the blog, upto you!
Right off to declare I have nothing to wear in my wardrobe, as I try to find something to go out in tonight, its latin apparently, sounds like dancing to me one friend has declared she's wearing a dress I don't have one of those, nor hardly any skirts either, I have one, but I can't find the top that goes with it, grumble.....I need GOK!

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2009 14:27

ooh nights out sound good - woohoo for weight loss

Will post as a comment in a min.

Pharmacist nearly refused my meds because a) I am too far pregnant to need that many anti-sickness pills b) her book says that if they aren't working within 48hrs you should be doing something different therefore don't need that many (pointed out that they are working, hence me being upright) and c) my gp had written the wrong technical term for putting the pill between my gum and lip

It would've gotten very messy if she had tried to stop my pills!

Great news Phoenix.

Tired still here. But went out for dinner with friends last night despite knackeredness, which was nice.

Came back from parents yest to discover that power had tripped on Tues so fridge and freezer had been off since then, so had to throw everything away . Been shopping to restock it today.

Lack of power also meant that tv progs didn't record, and there doesn't seem to be a repeat of brothers and sisters, so grr for that too. Don't suppose that any of you recorded or saw it?

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2009 15:14

when I read it was just one post!!! cross posts had time to make it go nuts

OP posts:
Phoenix · 18/04/2009 16:47

Photos on Facebook and a few on my profile

Phoenix · 18/04/2009 17:00

And just a thought but if you comment on any of my pictures on Facebook please don't put anything about it been a boy cos it's still a secret in real life

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2009 18:11

Awwww

Ooh I was wondering the other day if people can manage to keep the sex secret if they know it.

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 18/04/2009 18:52

They might guess when you say you're considering 'Noah' though!
Maybe its psychological because I know, but he looks masculine on the scan photos

csws- you're having a really bad run atm

Phoenix · 18/04/2009 19:22

I think he looks like Lewis in some of them. We're not revealing names in real life either

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2009 20:02

People keep telling me my scan looks like DS

Getting slightly further on names. We have a much bigger "not saying no to" list than ever before, but nothing leaping out. I think it is going to end up being a child who comes out and names themselves tbh.

OP posts:
Phoenix · 18/04/2009 21:22

Do we get to know the names you like?

Flamesparrow · 18/04/2009 22:44

Nope :p

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 19/04/2009 10:16

omg eppm, I didnt mean I wanted more kids just that I wanted to use my other favourite names! And no, not posting from phone, just in a hurry!!

Hutray for a boy! Boys are a known quantity.

mustrunmore · 19/04/2009 18:33

I ran 16km today
