LadyThompson · 18/03/2009 21:45

RIGHT, that does it, I'm going on Trace's thread to duff up the people who have been haughty with her

pmk1 · 18/03/2009 21:54

Sybil I'm so sorry I completely forgot it was coming up and didn't check the link. Sounds like you had a nice time - oh well I had a bit of a nightmare afternoon with B not feeding well or napping. Whoever said the 40 min baby sleep cycle was dead on - that's what he does, down to the second! He's also frustrated at slow milk flow when he feeds I think. Oh well, i'd be up for RFH if that is happening again? And I'd love a glass of cheerfulness at the next one.

Lady where is your old baby names thread? How on earth do you find old one's? There are always millions.

LadyThompson · 18/03/2009 22:12

Ah, don't bother pmk - I was in an extremely flippant mood when I started it as I often am, and I got more than I bargained for

JamInMyWellies · 18/03/2009 22:23

Trace

If you want to find an old thread there is a search function where you can put in someones nickname ans it will find all the threads that person has been on.

Syb & Verso sounds like you had a lovely lunch.

Oh and on the daytime nap thing this may have aready been said but I was told that babies sleep cycles are in 45mins. With DS1 it drove me bonkers took him until he was about 6mth to sleep for longer than 40 mins during the day.

Veggiemummy · 18/03/2009 22:40

I threw a little bath bomb into your thread Trace I only read the first and last 2 pages may read the rest one day. I want the name Mung!!!

I think I may have nearly come up with a new name it is now down to two possible candidates not sure when I'll spring it on you.

Veggiemummy · 18/03/2009 22:52

Oh and asked a garden center person about info for starting our garden and she was crap. I told her how much room we had and what we wanted to grow and she just tried to sell me stuff that was nothing to do with what I was asking and then sent me to the wrong department for something. So I'm gonna buy that Kim Wilde. I love that she wrote the book. When I was in primary school I was always her and my best friend Nina Hoven was Blondie.

Veggiemummy · 18/03/2009 22:54

Oh I meant buy that Kim Wilde book, not sure if Amazon would sell just Kim Wilde.

SummerLightning · 18/03/2009 23:02

SO, can i ask you something?
WHY, when men cook do they use every sodding pan and bowl in the house?? The kitchen looks like a bomb has hit it.
EG he will cut up onions and THEN he will put them in a little bowl. Then 5 minutes later they will be taken from the little bowl and put in a pan and fried. WHY? He seems to think he is on a TV show or something.
It's quite sweet really.

pmk1 · 18/03/2009 23:13

Oh Lady I found it in the interim... but only got half way... Hilarious! I had to laugh at the comments and then their "user names"
Summer DH does the same here - at least he cooked I spose... What did he cook? I either get curry over and over, or a BBQ in Summer! But i'm still happy that he cooks! Big at the TV show style cooking! I do that sometimes but only if I'm preparing in advance and I feel really proud of myself when I do!
We were all in bed quite early tonight - for B and 1030 for us - but i'm still up - not smart really...

SummerLightning · 18/03/2009 23:16

He cooked toad in the hole.
It was really good, with home made onion gravy.
However, I had to print out the recipe and get him the ingredients out!
Shit, he's coming! Can't let him see I'm talking about him, had better go.

pmk1 · 18/03/2009 23:35

I meant 9 for B!
lol at getting the ingredients out - and I stand corrected - DH also makes Steak and Ale Pie....

Verso · 19/03/2009 06:13

terrible terrible night
four-month growth spurt and DD1 talking loudly in hersleep
so so so tired

spotofcheerfulness · 19/03/2009 06:50

Oh Verso, that's so grim, just what you didn't need right now {sad]. I'm really sorry.

spotofcheerfulness · 19/03/2009 07:00

It's Lemsip a-go go chez Spot this morning. And Mr T has taken to rising earlier and earlier, which is a bit annoying, esp when I'm doing all the feedings and there are so man as Daddy's away and there's no one to impress. 7 I could just about handle, but 6? . As the clocks change this weekend, does that mean it'll effectively be 5am he gets up, or 7? (Sleep deprived brain can't work it out).

kayzr · 19/03/2009 07:15

Morning,

Sorry Verso, I hope she starts to sleep for you soon. Big hugs.

I had the most awful migraine yesterday and spend all afternoon in bed. Still feel like it is there but it doesn't hurt anymore. As long as it doesn't come back as I have a very busy couple of days. I need to clean the house to MIL standards for DS1's party tomorrow or she will moan. I also need to go and get all the party food.

Hope you are all well.

SummerLightning · 19/03/2009 07:18

Sadly I think it will be 5 spot!

Verso · 19/03/2009 07:22

spot DD1 gets up at 5:30am and always has, despite a sleepy rabbit clock and DD2 wakes with the dawn chorus at 5am - well, 3am, 4am, 5am etc etc etc - so I'm effectively looking at 4:30am starts for a while once the clocks change. deep joy.

Thnaks for the hug, kayz

daisydora · 19/03/2009 07:35

verso am so sorry about the bad night. I do hope she starts sleeping longer for you soon, you really need to catch up on your sleep.

I hadn't realised the clocks change this weekend spot I hate it! Totally messes DD about and she's not the greatest sleeper at the moment anyway, DS is doing better than her

More injections this aft for DS. In fact I believe its 3 poor little mite!! DD will have to come with this time but I do fear she might try and duff the nurse up for hurting DS as she is VERY protective of her baby brother (or as she says 'my sister')

spotofcheerfulness · 19/03/2009 07:36

Arse

rosmerta · 19/03/2009 07:40

verso sorry you had a rubbish night again. I'm guessing there's no way you can get any rest during the day?

I've been trying to think of a new name for ages but am lacking inspiration!

cat sympathies with the early waking. Yep, with the clocks change they'll wake up even earlier but they do adjust. Especially if you try & keep them in bed rather than getting up.

Funny night last night, ds2 woke up for his bottle at 12.15am (instead of 11pm), then slept until 5am. Meanie mummy decided not to feed him then so gave him his dummy but he wanted up & fed at 6am. Still, glad it was just one bottle in the night!

EffiePerine · 19/03/2009 07:43

Lordy, forgot we we were on Government time from Sunday. 6am starts here too atm. Still 2 wakings between 7/8 and 6 tho which I can handle, esp as we're heading towards the 12 wk spurt and jabs

Sorry you've had bad nights, Verso and Vat. Cat: if you fancy a visit to the park this afternoon (think we might have another sunny day) let me know

rosmerta · 19/03/2009 07:44

daisy lol at your dd duffing up the nurse!

pmk1 · 19/03/2009 07:44

verso can anyone stay with you for a while so you can catch up? Doesn't sound ideal at all, and it's a viscious cycle isn't it, as if you are stressed it will be picked up on by the LO's etc etc
I thought it would be the other way around with the clocks?? Wouldn't they wake at their usual time irrispective of what the clock says, so B usually wakes at 7, so the 'real' 7 would be 8 when the clocks change?

Verso · 19/03/2009 07:56

you're right, pmk! a glimmer of light! current 5am becomes 6am

do we all have to change our names?

ros thankfully I do have someone coming round this afternoon to give me a break so I guess I can't really complain.

kayzr · 19/03/2009 07:59

I'm keeping my name. It is boring but it is easy.

I completely forgot about the clocks changing.
