hey guys

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2009 16:24

fairy, if DD does that bedtime gets brought forward by an hour; it's too painful otherwise.

Natty, sorry I just buggered off halfway through our fb conversation. DHs wee pooter doesn't like it very much and keeps crashing out of it.

Poor DS Norty, I hope he's alright soon. Sorry about your gallbladder attack and hope it didn't last too long. It's weird here; I can still feel discomfort at the back under my ribs, like I was getting after an attack. I've been eating pretty much as normal, but I have been getting really bad diahorrea andd the indigestiony type pains are still there. From talking to people who have had the op this is quite common and seems to be linked to eating the same things that bothered you before the op. It should improve with time though. I had chocolate yesterday and regretted it almost immediately.

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 16:26

hes three on the 12th i think he is out on the funding by like 4 days

ellen driving me nuts. if she takes her nappy off and pees on thefloor when my backs turned one more time im going to murder her...

LittleMissNorty · 16/03/2009 16:30

Think the diarrhoea is because you no longer have any bile to digest the fats in your diet. Still worth having it done though. My attack didn't last too long - but made me throw up - it was just at a really bad time - screaming DS with very high temp and rash - panicing parents etc.

DH is finding all this sleepless / screaming stuff very stressful and I'm finding it pretty difficult to keep everyone happy (including him!!). Last night DS screaming started DD off who was also overtired - and it was just a nightmare....she went to bed pretty quick I can tell you!

Your break sounded lovely Fairy....

So all you with boys and girls.....were the boys more difficult?

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 17:19

boys are a nightmare fairy. fussy babies, bored easily, hyper toddlers..

or is that just my tom

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 17:25

bugger meant to write norty... fairy, thats who im away with not who im talking to

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/03/2009 17:43

Norty, I've found DS harder work. Not sure whether it's because he's a boy, because he's number 2 and therefore I'm also dealing with DD, or whether it's just his personality. Honestly though, I found the first few months a hellish nightmare but it really does get easier, as they both get a bit older. That said, I'm not having a third

LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2009 18:13

DS1 was a lovely easy baby and toddler
DD was an easy baby but is a hellish toddler (first tantrum at 12mo and 6 days!!)
DS2 not easy to start with but is generally a trooper now.

So no discernible pattern. I think they are all different whether boy or girl.
I think with second babies it seems harder because you havve the other one to deal with as well.

I'd read that about the bile norty but my consultant said it shouldn't have any adverse effects

I'm starting The Food Doctor's Seven Day Diet on Wednesday and then going on to follow his everyday diet. It's good for people with gut issues so with the coeliacs and the gallbladder it should help.

The hospital told me to keep the dressings on my wounds for 10 days.....does this seem a bit long? given that my CS scar was open to the elements from day 2

LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2009 18:16

and hollow lol fairy....neither was I!!

Sputnik · 16/03/2009 18:20

I had it the other way round Norty, DD was more difficult, would do the waking up when you put her down thing etc etc and is just generally more of a PITA sensitive. I don't think it's a boy/girl thing really, more to do with personality.

You really have my sympathy, DS crying always set DD off, often still does even now, especially if she is tired, or unwell or whatever, which would be for the last 3 months or so! Nothing to do but ride it out really, and try to resist joining in.

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/03/2009 18:51
LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2009 19:02

lol sputnik at resisting joining in

DH and I are sat here staring into space in a washed out, downtrodden and beaten fashion. DD was sent off up ealry as she wouldn't stop hitting everyone, and DS was sent up without any supper for throwing things at DH, kicking doors after slamming them, and trying to bite punch and kick DH.

He then slammed his bedroom door so hard that the mirror fell off the wall and slammed him in the head and he has tried to blame DH for it. I can't take any more of this shit from him, I really can't

FrazzledFairyFay · 16/03/2009 19:03

I don't know what to say Daisy, I'm sorry things are crappy for you.

LittleMissNorty · 16/03/2009 19:10

bloody hell....who'd have children

Sputnik....I have joined in on more than one occasion

I'm not having a third either.....no time for sex let alone anything else!

LittleMissNorty · 16/03/2009 19:12

or energy......

Daisy....what's the diet then? Never heard of it...

LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2009 19:17

this chap here

nothing too groundbreaking about it, but the initial diet is a sort of detox/liver cleansing and then it's based on sensible eating and low GI/low carb diet. Lots of seeds and stuff involved as well.

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 19:21

let us know if its any good then daisy.

both my buggers refusing to go to bed, ellen is awful for sleeping and naps atm.

just when i need the break the most. kids eh

sorry everyone having such a hard time with their LO's, (and the not so LITTLE ones!)
chin up girls, they move out in 18 years

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 16/03/2009 20:31

Sorry about chicken pox, gall bladder (or missing gall bladder) problems, illness, troublesome children and all the other woes that you lot have had thrown at you!

I was on a course all day, and have only just sat down properly since getting in. Have made winter fruit compote for my Dad's birthday in a couple of weeks. Am also planning on making him some onion marmalade and some lemon cordial so he has a little hamper of home-made goodies.

Sputnik · 16/03/2009 21:12

Daisy, sorry you're having such a crap time. They say your parents fuck you up, IME tis the other way round!

TALLULAHBELLE · 16/03/2009 21:29

LOL Sputnik.

TheNatty · 16/03/2009 22:15

LOL sputnik!!

LackaDAISYcal · 16/03/2009 22:43

jammy I will be joining you on the homemade stuff soon; I'm getting James Wong's book (to go with the series Grow Your Own Drugs)for mother's day......varicose vein cream anyone???? herbal nit shampoo???

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/03/2009 07:53

I had a book out of the library recently on homemade creams and lotions etc. Wasn't taken by any of the recipes though. But I did ask for, and get, the homemade soap book for Xmas and hope to get going on that soon.

Anyway off for day 2 of my course. Have fun ladies!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 17/03/2009 12:53

FFS! After posting last week I didn't get the chance to get back on as dp keeps working from home. Selfish twunt!

Hope everything is well with everyone. Daisy did you have an op? Hope you are ok. I feel really behind and out of touch with everything!

Does anyone want to test some Duplo sets for me? Duplo have got in touch with me and asked if I want to test some Polar Zoo and Police Station sets and for some of my "readers" to test them too and post reviews on my website and on their blog site. They didn't say how many sets they want me to test, but I would imagine about 4-5. Hands up who wants a set?! I guess it would help if you already had some Duplo to add it to, but I don't think it matters.

FrazzledFairyFay · 17/03/2009 13:44

Me, me, me please Holly. My DCs love Duplo. We have quite a lot already. Would be happy with either but would love to do the polar zoo one

TALLULAHBELLE · 17/03/2009 15:03

My hand's up Holly ,if you need more testers. Think DD would like that tho we don't have any atm.
