have just told him I will cry if he doesn't go to bed.

And I will.

Because I want to scream at him.

LackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2009 21:16

foxy. now he knows he is pushing the buttons.

i hope jamlet likes the play tomorrow. DD is just starting to get interested in tv and stuff. we should take her to something like that.

lol at shuffledancing butterfly, whnat a wonderfully appropriate description

this teeny pc is still defeating my chunky fingers. Can't get capitals to work veryu often and forr some reason i get double letters. It's very cute though.

i am feeling very grumpy this evening.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2009 21:23

Jmalet has started bringing me the remote control when she wants teh TV on. I normally put it on when she does this, but equally I normally turn it off after about 30 seconds She does enjoy watching bits of TV though, and even started trying to dance to Boogie Beebies last week so I'm hoping she'll enjoy it tomorrow. It's only 45 mins.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 14/03/2009 21:26

Arse! The swimsuit I bought - the one that I love, that makes me feel quite gorgeous despite actually being the size of a whale - is getting too big (OK, I'm a shrinking whale) so I just went to order one a couple of sizes smaller and they don't have any left and they aren't getting any more in

LackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2009 22:07

jammy, sorry about the swimsuit (I get strangely attached to things that make me fell good too) but too big....yay and well done you . the next one you buy will make you look svelt and lovely.

and is that a challenge to find you one in a similar shape/style?

LackaDAISYcal · 14/03/2009 22:26

similar but sort of halterneck

they have lots in this print, same style

will look some more tomorrow for you. need to get to bed now!

TALLULAHBELLE · 14/03/2009 22:47

Evening. Just a quick check in & off to bed. Glad you're home Daisy & op a success.

Butterfly - wish I'd known you were coming to Glasgow, would have met up with you at the Art Galleries . If I could have got out the house that is. Well done on the essay.

Congrats Jammy on the shrinkage. You have been very dedicated so great to see results even if it means wardrobe issues.

Natty - sorry to hear about scan not going so well. No point saying try not to worry cos you will. Hopefully there'll be better news next time.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/03/2009 11:50

Well I went swimming and have decided that the suit is looser but is actually still OK, apart from being too baggy round the boobs, So I just have to watch that I'm not flashing myself . I will wait a while until either I do start flashing or I find one I really like in a smaller size. I had seen those 2 Daisy, but wasn't quite convinced by either. The alternative pattern one was just too white for my liking - and having seen a bloke in white trunks this morning and been reminded how white goes see-through in the water I definitely won't be buying!

Jamlet is asleep sitting next to me on the sofa, leaning against my side. So I am forced to sit down and MN!

lol butterfly.

ive got a really nice one from primark (a one off find!)
and another one i found when pregnant that actually looks good with a bump.

but i never go swimming as DH wont go and im not allowed to take both kids at the same time in my local pools.

roll on summer and out door pools which are less regulated and i can sneak in lol.

what a nice day!

LackaDAISYcal · 15/03/2009 12:37

Can you do something with a few well placed stitches jammy, and nip the suit in at the bust. It's a really nice suit, I can see why you are sad about it. You can maybe see if there are any on ebay as well?

I was all set to get out to the park this afternoon. Then I had a shower and got dressed and have had to sit down again as I'm sore and in tears . I was only going to hobble from the car to the cafe at the park but even that's too much. And my belly button dressing came off in the shower as well and the wound is hurting now .

DH decided he'd take the kids out for a bit and go get some more dressings and flea stuff for the cat so I went out to sit in the garden. I could hear DS1 shouting and screaming from the main road, then next thing DH is marching up to the house with the buggy. DS1 had tried to kick and punch him and then run away because DH asked him to walk nicelyt by the pram as the road was really busy and he was being silly and doing karate kicks and nearly slipped onto the road a couple of times. I have no idea how to deal with him at the minute. Everything that comes out of his mouth is either a whine or cheek or aggression; he lashes out at everyone and fights about everything. And DD who worships him has started copying everything he does. It is toooooo hard. DH said he was to go to his room and sit on the bed, no playing, but I've sent him out into the garden to vent his frustration by climbing the tree or whatever.

Anyhoo, I am consoling myself with tea and biscuits.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/03/2009 12:43

lol at being mostly covered by children butterfly. I'm less bothered by myself in swimmies than i used to be. Mainly because when i take me specs off everyone else looks blurry so i assume i look blurry too .

off to look for advice on being made redundant whilst on maternity leave.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/03/2009 12:46

Aw Daisy, that sounds tough! Sounds like he is just pushing and pushing to see how far he can? My only suggestion is what an old boss of mine used to do with her toddlers - if they said anything in a whingey voice she'd just say she couldn't understand that tone and could they talk properly please so she could hear them? Not sure if it'd work on an older chid though?

Might try a bit of stitching. Might just save my dignity!

Jamlet had a lovely nap against me, and we've just had scrambled eggs for lunch, but she's rather whingey herself now. SO we're back on the sofa having a cuddle and a little cbeebies and MN while she "comes round".

LOL at thinking you must be blurry too! Maybe that's the problem, I went years swimming like that unable to see much past my own nose. but now I have prescription goggles, which are fab but I can actually see what I look like!

TheNatty · 15/03/2009 13:02

sorry daisy that DS being a nightmare atm, it must be so much harder when they get bigger and stop paying attention to you.

ive been telling tom to "drop the attitude" all week, as he sounds like a teenage atm, he says things like "you put the remote on the table, REMEMBER!" and "dont shout at my sister SILLY"

Ohforfoxsake · 15/03/2009 20:11

How's things Natty?

FrazzledFairyFay · 15/03/2009 20:24

Hi everyone

Natty, sorry to hear your scan worries, I hope you get good news soon

Daisy, I'm glad your op went well, hope you feel better very soon. Sorry to hear DS is being 6 a bit of a sod

TheNatty · 15/03/2009 20:50

im alright foxy, im dealing with it better because me and DH had a chat about it, and we have both agreeed that had this been a month ago things would be different, but we've been experiancing kicks, and talking about names, and whatever happens we are having this baby, so whats to point in worrying?

still worried. but then that me, im a worrier.
but not to the point of tears. which is good

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 15/03/2009 21:07

I know it's useless to say, but do try not to worry natty. Will keep everything crossed for you of course.

Theatre thing went well. I think she enjoyed it. She got the idea that people clapped after they did a dance bit and sat clapping And she seemed genuinely delighted when the horse (a woman with a hobby horse thing) appeared and I asked if she could see the horsey

We took a get well card round to her chicken-poxy friend later, and she walked most of the way back, teaching me the art of walking at snail pace looking at everybody's garden walls and hedges, spotting tiny little sticks and picking them up, then putting them down, then deciding to pick them up again after all... I didn't mind at all as we had all the time in the world this afternoon (well, I wanted to get home before dark but...) but I can see that it could be very tedious.

Sputnik · 15/03/2009 21:15

Evening everyone, sorry, not been posting for a bit.
Sorry you're going through all this uncertainty Natty.

How was your weekend of freedom Fairy?

LackaDAISYcal · 15/03/2009 21:16

ah jammy, the joys of walking with toddlers

hey fairy....glad you had a good time away. I dream of the day

Natty, it's good you and DH are talking about this; crossing it all for you

bumble has been crying on and off all day today but has finally settled. no idea what is going on with him now, maybe cold, maybe ears, throat or tummy. I'm getting DH's throat lurgy and feeling crap and the two of us are bloody knackered after a very challenging day. Does three kids ever get easy foxy???

FrazzledFairyFay · 15/03/2009 21:46

It was lovely thanks. I had three full nights' sleep, went to the cinema and a comedy sho, shopped, went to a museum and a gallery, drank hot choc and read my book in the middle of the afternoon, and generally did non-Mummy things. It is nice to be home again though, for now .......
