popping in for a split second only to find sazzles will look like a beach goddess in a two weeks whilst i will look like CRAP in a bikini that no longer fits my -A figure. pardon me while i add one more thing to my to do list (buy a bathing suit).

i just wanted to wave hello and tell everyone to FEEL YOUR BOOBIES!! i have my mammogram at 4:30. dh coming home to watch the kiddos so i can get them squeezed in piece. full pms mode with the eating so i hope he doesn't mind doing their dinners because i'm no longer hungry (one coke, 10 oreos double stuffed, and half a bag of tositos). mind you the "snack" will obviously not help my beach look.

later

Wurgh. Just had a funny turn, all wobbly and head-spinny. Think I haven't eaten enough today. Thank god DP has just walked back through the door with our Chinese (and my Snickers)!

Buckets glad to hear Kurt is back on form

Boobies felt. Check.
Highchair wipes. Check.
Bread out of machine. Check.
450 NCT newsletter envelopes sorted into delivery areas. Check.
450 newsletters stuffed into said envelopes... Better go!

Hey No1, VG and any other 'musos'! (heehee at including myself in that)
Have had a brief pissabout with guitar and uke tonight and found Roxette's "Must have been love" (from Pretty Woman soundtrack) is easy, cheesey and great fun for annoying DPs. Go google it!

LoveBuckets · 25/02/2009 20:59

Cyteen ye[ sounds like a sugar hypo. Get some low GI foods in, porridge (or flapjacks), hoummous etc.

poppysocks · 25/02/2009 21:00

Just a quick whizz in to say hello .

Sorry you're feeling rubbish pf. Must admit that I rarely do anything after the girls have gone to bed as I'd rather be busy beforehand and then collapse afterwards. The fact that you'll be full-on beforehand AND afterwards scares me... maybe DH is right that we should stop at two! Not that that helps you at all, but nonetheless.

And VG - you have absolutely put your finger on it (AGAIN!). I have often wondered why I find it so much easier and actually really enjoy the simple things when DH is here, but find them such a slog when he's not.

Sorry to everyone/everything I missed. I too have an evening of property porn to get stuck into.

poppysocks · 25/02/2009 21:02

Oh and 3 years ago right now I was in labour and in the midst of the most frightening 6 hours of my life. Thank God I have DD1 asleep upstairs (and a large glass of red at my side).

PetitFilou1 · 25/02/2009 21:04

sazzles Sort of - got a bit distracted by property porn Have also made cauliflower cheese for Toby - will see what he thinks tomorrow. Now have to think about ironing. I have persuaded dh to do the shopping on Friday when he gets back as I think I ought to have some time to myself in the evenings or I will go mental (sorry not very pc description I know)

I was just thinking, rather randomly, what Heston Blumenthal would feed a baby if he had to make purees. It would be a hungry baby as each one would take a week to make

poppy It is full on with three - I can't deny that. The washing and ironing is endless for example. However, I am completely happy with my little blue eyed boy and his siblings and have no desire ever ever to be pregnant again - whereas before there was this longing to do it again. So it is just life atm I guess.

buckets Roxette Are you one of those people who buys the Power Ballads CDs you see advertised on tv (in an ironic way of course)?

Now I'm going as otherwise you won't believe I have too much to do

PetitFilou1 · 25/02/2009 21:13

sazzles we do do shopping on the internet - however this still necessitates me a)writing out a meal plan for the week and thinking what the hell to have b) actually ordering it. dh usually cuts £50 off the bill when he does it anyway as he says I always order enough in case there is a nuclear winter

lol sazzles, yes, I have said that too but in other words iykwim! Right really am going

poppysocks · 25/02/2009 21:22

pf - sorry if I sounded horribly flippant. Glad you know your exhaustion is more than worth it for your lovely three. I worry that I'll always have that 'itch' for another baby. Already sad about E growing up, but atm happy to go along with DH's logic. Ask me again in a year or two....

Thanks sazzles. Yes, she just made it into tomorrow (as it were). Even though it's three years ago, I still feel freaked out by the memory of it. . Just feel so pleased that DD2's arrival worked out so well.

Re: purees, I too do tons in a oner. I bought the Annabel Karmel ice-cube trays last time round (much bigger cubes that normal) and have found them sooooo useful for our stuff as well as little people's.

Soooo not bothered sazzles . Meant to back up whoever it was a while ago that was talking of the BLW as a fashion. So true. Not to say that there aren't useful things to learn from that approach but 30 year ago the 'fashion' was to wean at a few weeks 'to give babies lots of different flavours as early as possible'. Hard to believe now.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/02/2009 21:35

pf sorry to here you are feeling low. I also like to mn collapse after kids in bed.
that is why, i decided to do ironing earlier. while dcs were up.
As too tired when dcs in bed.

buckets glad Kurt is ok now.

Bad night last night Marcus went to bed at 7.30pm.
Up at 10, 12, 2,3,3.30.4.30,5.30 etc... think you get the point.

Anyway enough about me again.

Christening back on for 5th April, we are now sharing a service with our next door neighbours new baby.
cyteen glad lesson went well, good luck for test.
ann I have cold here too.
sazzles how is dd1???
vg glad you enjoyed your night out.
pertelote hope you did too.
s&m feeding sounds fun

I have already given up crisps and chocolate and still not eating after 6.(not much else I can give up) However I just fancy some toast.

poppysocks · 25/02/2009 21:36

And no, Sazzles, haven't talked to anyone (officially... others have been bothered...) about it. Tbh, it wasn't the birth per se, it was my lack of preparedness for it. As far as I knew (based on ante-natal classes and little else) it might hurt a bit but it would all work out fine naturally. Was just saying to DH earlier how much better I would have dealt with it if I'd known as much as I know now. Oh well.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/02/2009 21:36

not had a glass of wine for about 3 weeks either.
