sazzles You need to get that out - could get infected (and I hope you are up to date on your tetanus)

hotterpotter · 23/02/2009 21:22

NCT is a good idea, or I could just put it all back in the loft, just in case. No way anything of mine would sell for £75 I was really chuffed to sell a few bits before Christmas and made about £12 profit. Really should sell my matty stuff, and the birth pool. Can't justify a £50 paddling pool

Sazzles I was googling tetanus yesterday, was convinced I was going to get it , just have two swollen fingers today though, hopefully nothing more serious! Garden starting to look a bit better now though, god I love it out there. Will be sorry to leave it behind if when we move, although not the slugs

sazzles yes you should really get that out.in case it turns nasty.

I sell all dcs clothes on ebay or charity shop some bits. Most of the clothes sell really well.
In fact most od dcs stuff sells well. hotter I am a bit as dh keeps mentioning all the things ds will soon be outgrowing, like swinging seat, chair, etc... and he can get rid and we will have more room.
I so want another, so would be silly to sell it all, but dh wont budge.
I keep singing '3 is the magic number' but he doesnt find it very funny.

god I feel sick again.....I mean really sick

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/02/2009 21:27

at least dh wants to keep my birthing pool for a paddling pool, so yoo know maybe.

PetitFilou1 · 23/02/2009 21:30

Right am off to veg for half an hour

Thanks for keeping me company - I feel less alone with dh away when you lot are about!

Don't worry No1 I'm sure you'll get another baby, you're only young and still have plenty of time Once the memory of sleepless nights has had a chance to fade and your DC are a bit older I'm sure you'll be able to persuade your DH. And if you've sold all the stuff, well it's just another shopping excuse!

Are you OK? Still feeling sick?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 23/02/2009 21:34

Not sure I had fish for tea, which I dont normally eat and I couldnt finish it.
But it was that shite frozen one in batter. was gross.
Could be that. Oh well. off to be sick bed.

Night No1, hope you feel better.

Hi Sausage, thanks! I imagine that might be very welcome indeed. Can you email me at jmh at pertelote dot org so I have your details?

Thorn sounds horrid Sazzles, I am a total baby about such things so hope you wake up in the morning with it magically gone

hotterpotter · 23/02/2009 21:50

Yes hope it's like Ann's was last week No1, throw it all up and be fine after

One of my friends has been off down memory lane posting photos of when I was young and lovely, (another friend posting photos of me from last week with my bra hanging out but that's another story ) so am going to take the opportunity of a quiet house with both DC asleep to look at some of mine

hotterpotter · 23/02/2009 22:58

Feeling a bit fat and old now so off to bed for (hopefully) a few restorative hours under the duvet.

Night all

hotterpotter · 24/02/2009 07:49

Last out, first in, where are you all

Hope you're feeling OK today No1

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/02/2009 07:55

Morning hotter firstly you are not fat and old. I can't believe you are nearly 40, you look no where near that, not that it is old anyway.

I am feeling bit better, suprisingly I wasn't sick, but my stomache is still churning like mad and making some very odd noises
not sure what it is, but I do have a bloody sore throat this morning. What the hell is going on with all these bugs lately.
Anyway enough moaning from me.

Im off to give my sister some stick on FB as sh e has stated that I can't do anything, cook, clean etc... all I can do is shop

Off to soft play this am and hopefully going to collect new pram this afternoon.

Hope you have all had decent nights, and all little ones are feeling ok.

hotterpotter · 24/02/2009 08:13

Aw shucks No1 thanks , was looking at pictures from when I first met my DH. I was 25 and thought I was fat at the time, oh if I could go back in time and slap myself...

Your sister is a cheeky lass, obviously I've never noticed any evidence of you being a big shopper... hope you like your new pram

We're all full of cold here too. DS a bit better at sleeping - up at 12 and 5 but took an hour to get him back to sleep the second time, and he was still up for the day at 6.50 . Won't complain as this is a vast improvement on recent weeks

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/02/2009 08:16

LOL
How sad is it that I am know for shopping and nothing better

His he still comfort feeding in the night.

Marcus was only up twicw again, which is also good lately, but he fed properly this time.
How is the food going, he not had much here last few days and strangley slept better.

hotterpotter · 24/02/2009 08:30

Don't be daft we know you for more than shopping...pole dancing too

Yes DS seems to be feeding better at night too, I think he's settling himself a bit so when he wants to feed he is actually hungry. Thank goodness because those hourly wake-ups are a killer aren't they?

Weaning going OK, although I can't get a spoon in him now, he just grabs it and smears the contents all over everywhere except in his mouth He loves banana though, and can eat nearly half of one in one sitting he also likes blueberries and satsumas, toast and pizza crust. Tried him with some carrot sticks and a finger of cheese yesterday, I think the carrot was going OK but the cheese got a bit stuck and he sicked it all up again. Oh well!

Which pram are you getting?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 24/02/2009 08:33

ah bless him, Its lovely to see them eat, nbut scary when they gag.

I am getting the Loola only because it faces both ways, and I need a single for when family have just one dc. Or I go out with one. Still got my coach built silvercross, but too big to expect family to deal with it in and out of car iykwim.
Off to get ready now, both dcs screaming all of a sudden and dh in bed nursing hangover

I am going to take them upstairs to scream

CaptainCaveman · 24/02/2009 09:48

pf Oliver is still not sitting up, and has only rolled over twice, to my knowledge! He just can't be bothered. If I sit him between my legs he lurches forward into a half-sitting up position, albeit a very wobbly one. Guess he won't be too much longer in doing it for real. I do believe he has a similar attitude to sleeping through the night - he'll do it when he's ready

Am utterly tired and fed up today . O was up to feed at 11pm then 2am then awake from 4am. He then fed at 4, 4.30, 5.15, 6.30 - I gave up and got up with him at 6.45. I'm starting to resent bf as currently no-one else can feed him, as he still won't entertain ebm or formula via any means. I'm starting to think it will have to be cold turkey with night feeds, the same as I did for ds1. I must be doing something wrong but am so ruddy tired I can't work out what it is

On top of that my sister is a tit, unwilling to listen and hellbent on drinking herself to death

Oh God listen to me, what a moaner! Just put a blanket over my head and I'll sit quietly in the corner.

pertelote · 24/02/2009 10:18

Captain don't worry about moaning! So sorry about your sister. I bet the same applies as I have found - even though this is a massive and very real worry, lack of sleep manages to make it even harder to handle?! Most unfair...

(if I may) at HP and No1 self-deprecating at each other this morning! Ladies, you are both gorgeous and intelligent so none of that!

ALBS was last night the theatre? Hope it was good. We are going tonight, first time out without DD... yes our timing could be better but there you go. In fact my MIL is coming to the theatre to look after DD in the foyer/cafe so I will only be away from her for an hour and a half - that's a conscious-of-good-luck and what-a-clingy-mummy emoticon!
