oops thanks

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 19/02/2009 22:09

No1 - no added sugar If it takes you to the password page the password is babysham.

LoveBuckets · 19/02/2009 22:10

Oops Poppy sounds like such a bright little bugger!

Sandys nappies are great for toddlers as in the summer you can let them wonder about with no wrap and the poppers are at the side so they don't notice them. good practise for pulling up and down too.

Thanks Sazzles will try that.

Dizzy and other cupcake fans, Asda do some cool silicone muffin cases for just £1.99. You just squeeze them and the cake pops out. I stick mine in my muffin tins so the shape is perfect every time.

No1 Don't forget the eyeliner eyepatch and moustache. I like those pirate tops but DH is very anti-pirates, says there's nothing charming or appropriate about raping and pillaging. He's kind of right but they do look cute.

I have port and a crime novel about Irish bog bodies so am off to bed. Might have to pop back to ask VG or Sibh for pronunciation tips though (am a pedant to the end, even when doing character voices in my head.)
Night.

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 19/02/2009 22:12

Night Buckets - enjoy your bog bodies!

I'm off too sleep well everyone.

okay everyone runs off just as i have something important to share.....

remember all the stories about mice???

well it appear that i HAD a mouse in my house. i went to clean out the bedroom so the carpet guy could be quick tomorrow. i pulled out all the drawers in my dresser and took them to another room. i don't was hoovering the empty dresser (very dusty) afterwards and noticed a dark ball in the very bottom drawer hole. thinking it was a sock i stuck the hoover wand in and sucked up A DEAD MOUSE. it must have been hiding from me when i SLAMMED THE DRAWER. not sure whether to laugh or cry at this story but thankfully the dead mouse remained stuck to the hoover wand all the way to the outside waste bin. EEEEEUUUUUUWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

Thanks ladies. I'm feeling a bit better. I think it actually helped being sick.

Good night to all of you.

MiamlaHasADaffodilBehindHerEar · 19/02/2009 23:34

TS it helps if you actually say "don't" to dd1 instead of typing it to us!

no1 no, still haven't sorted curtains but i am having a fabric shop trip on monday so i'll see what falls into my bag

Expectant · 20/02/2009 02:45

Thanks all for your kind messages of support. It isn't easy being so far away from home sometimes. Albs I suffered quite badly from depression in my late teens/early 20's due to some stuff that happened then so was half expecting that it might resurfcace as PND when I had Sam but it really did hit me like a tonne of bricks and I think part of the problem is that I am depressed by the fact that I am feeling depressed again because I know how hard it was last time IYSWIM. I am also taking anti-d's (sertraline/zoloft) which I took last time. I'm taking a really low dose but it does seem to have helped. I'm happier taking a low dose because I know it won't be that difficult to come off when I am ready - maybe you could try something similar? It doesn't seem to have had any effect on Sam with the bf either as I know that was a big concern of mine.

No teeth to report here either.

Tried Sam with a piece of banana yesterday evening. He seemed very happy to be feeding himself but then choked and promptly threw up all the food he had already taken. I was a bit disappointed as it really looked like it was going to work as he seemed much happier to take it himself rather than from a spoon. Any tips on BLW? Have just been doing purees but with very limited success.

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 20/02/2009 10:04

morning all

on my way out - just tried on my pre-BF sports bra and it's too small in the cup - poor boobies squished flat!!

Okay night here - DD tied down with blanket and grobag - slept until 1 then fed then fed at 6, woke at 7.30 she just lay in her cot playing with her muzzy and a cuddly DH threw in to her until 8.

Ann - hope you feeling better today.

Expectant - Hi - I have no experience of depression so just send {{{HUGS}}}

hotterpotter · 20/02/2009 10:10

Expectant I'm glad to hear you sounding reasonably positive. It must make it so much harder being so far from home, it's good that you are getting help.

Don't worry about the vomiting, I think they learn pretty quickly how to avoid it . DS threw up a full milk feed the first time I gave him some banana, I panicked and reverted to spoon feeding but he hasn't done it again, even gulping down satsuma segments, and I can't get the spoon in any more without him grabbing it and wiping all over his face/clothes, but not in his mouth . Guess we're back on with BLW

Dizzy step away from the credit cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hotterpotter · 20/02/2009 10:11

Oops good luck with the personal trainer!

AnnVan · 20/02/2009 10:18

morning everyone!
Feeling fine here In fact after I'd been sick I started feeling better very quickly. I think I just needed to get it all out (tmi sorry)
TS lol at don't!
going to chsnge nappy.

longwayfromhome · 20/02/2009 10:19

Hello everyone, and I am happy to offer some pureed pear very soon to be freshly prepared for breakfast!

So sorry not to catch up with all the posts, but sending lots of thoughts to everyone, and particularly Expectant for being so far from home.

Well not much news. 2 bottom teeth for a while now, and 3 top teeth are peeping through. Weaning messy but not really much progress so far. Work going OK (I go to my PIL's house with DS each morning and they look after him while I work - teaching statistics online) and we went swimming this week, which we both enjoyed.

Too hot here really 30-35 degrees - DS gets really grumpy in the heat and I don't like taking him out when the sun is really hot, but if we stay inside then we both get a bit crotchety.

Oh, and my hint of the day is that if you have a buggy with a kind of bit of fabric at the back, if you hitch it up then it will allow a through breeze, and is a bit cooler for the baby.

AnnVan · 20/02/2009 10:22

Ok that should have been CHANGE nappy. And said nappy had incredible dark green poo in it. Is it possible he has a bit of a bug?

hotterpotter · 20/02/2009 10:28

LOL LWFH thanks for the tip but no breeze necessary to keep babies cool over here

Ann I'm glad you're feeling better already

DD and DH off to the library in a minute and DS sleeping in his pram so I'm off to get my Wii fit out for a bit

TwilightSurfer · 20/02/2009 10:43

Ann ...no. He's fine. just had to use the green face for the green poo response.

Busy day here so starting early. During the night I woke up thinking OH I SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN THAT TO SO AND SO....now I can't remember what and to whom. I'm sure it will hit me again shortly.

Mornings all around.
