typical builder, leaving tools about.

miamla very nice. Since having dcs I appreciate having my hair done. I normally hate it but last time just sat there was lovely.

cyteen thats not rubbish at all, you do what is right for both of you. I did mix of both with dd, and she was fine.
I was thinking today (very dangerous) that how on earth would I manage blw with other children getting ready for school etc.... as they say you shouldnt rush feeding time. I am afraid puree breakfsast would work better for me and then be more relaxed around lunch and tea iykwim.

vg hope ds is feeling better bless him.

Marcus is not well at all but not sure what is wrong. I have doc app monday. May be getting reffered for tests (no idea what kind of tests)
to do with weight gain, lack of et nappies etc...

I cant believe my little Claudia is 2 tomorow. How time flies.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 07/02/2009 20:06

sorry that was a bit me me me

Allezlesbluessteaknife · 07/02/2009 20:06

Evenin' all. Well wasn't the rugby fun? England didn't completely collapse in the second half and managed to hold the lead. I taught Izzy how to cheer and I haven't gloated at all about the fact that France lost.

Is is obligatory that I feed my child ricecakes during weaning? I cannot stand them myself, I don't mean to offend anyone, but they do seem like one of the most pointless foodstuffs around. I think it stems from studying dance at uni and there was always someone eating them - usually with cottage cheese, but there was one girl that ate them with peanut butter. A combination that removes all the moisture from your mouth for several days. euw.

Miamla - positively glowing m'dear.

Not sure about the PMS profile - there wasn't one that mentioned throwing things.

Well that's me for the night.

I'll warm the croissant for the morning.

KevTheBuilder · 07/02/2009 20:08

so what you doing tonight ladies? me missus is cooking me dinner so i'm here with a beer waiting for it

shame about the screwdriver, was a good un

cyteen · 07/02/2009 20:17

Oh no1 How worrying for you, I really hope the docs have good news for you on Monday. Poor little Marcus. Give him a big kiss and a cuddle from me! And HAPPY BIRTHDAY for tomorrow to your lovely DD

Steaky I am rather envious of you studying dance - something I always wanted to do but never did (one of a long list of unachieved ambitions, ho hum). Although I bet you met a lot of neurotic bitches along the way Very competitive environment, I'll bet!

DP is cooking the dinner tonight [drool] Posh organic burgers, garlicky potatoes, fried onions yummmmmmm.....

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 07/02/2009 20:34

Just trying on a suitable Valentine's disguise, since rugby does nothing for me

MiamlaHasADaffodilBehindHerEar · 07/02/2009 20:38

i've come to join you in a twirl itwasCYTEENagewedding

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 07/02/2009 20:40

love the name cyteen and thanks.I am sure he wil be fine.
I really should be getting stuff done for the party tomorow. need to wash hair shower etc...while both dcs are asleep.

MiamlaHasADaffodilBehindHerEar · 07/02/2009 20:44

thanks for compliments girls re glowing etc but i've just remembered why this was my first facial... Whenever my mum had one, she always used to be really spotty the next day and guess what... i've got a spot on my chin already!

Do i just give my face a good cleanse tonight?

MiamlaHasADaffodilBehindHerEar · 07/02/2009 20:45

hi No1 how many have got there tomorrow?

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 20:51

Kev nail guns only here am afraid, have you tried down the back of the couch, thats where we normally find everything in this house

No1 hope Claudia has a lovely day tomorrow and that everything goes well on Monday for Marcus

steaky Dylan loves the ones with the apple juice through them but I agree, not my idea of a foodstuff at all - my mum used to eat them and didn't do her any good

Cyteen dinner sounds lovely was pizza for tea here - own fault I let the girls choose and didn't try to sway them as wanted an easy option DH and I inhaled ours, they didn't eat theirs at all

DH finished work this morning and should therefore be days off until he starts back on Wed. He's just told me tonight that he has a training day on Tues, all day and that he doesn't get time back for it so intead of having him here for 3 days it is infact 2 and tomorrow we're doing stuff with the girls as some quality time needed

I know I sound pathetic but when he's on shift they are 10+hr days and even when he's in the house he's not technically here so I really look forward to his days off

sorry to grumble PF maybe you get it? I had loads of things that needed doing that were achievable in 3 days but will now either not get done or we'll run about like loonies trying to do it in 2 days

arse

LoveBuckets · 07/02/2009 20:58

Oh great name Cyteen, will have that in my head all weekend now. Have gone all Valentinesy myself too (can't be doing with all this rugby nonsense ).

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 07/02/2009 20:59

dizzy I know exactly what you mean re his hours.
I had so much to organize for party, but had to go out so he could sleep. Now I have to do most tonight.
He is coming home early hours in morning to get few hours in so he can get up when we do and bloody help.

miamal I have 13 children inc mine and nieces, nephews. 6 children who are friends and about 13 adults. I dont know why i am doing this. esp as I feel utterly shite (not ill, just shite in general)

Oh well if there isnt enough food here there never will be.

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 21:11

No1 the worst year for us was when DH had worked T in the Park as usual - its always a REALLY long weekend for him due to all the working/travelling etc and he stay up and come to DD1's birthday party etc, didn't get to his bed until about 2pm and had to leave again about 7pm - not good when he's meant to be alert at all times!

just do what you can tonight then write a list of everything you have to do tomorrow so that you can relax and get some sleep - remember you can leave some stuff for some of the other adults to do like putting out food/blowing up balloons etc

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 07/02/2009 21:14

Buckets I had you down as a 'bucketsoflove' kindagirl

Dh just back with a curry and a movie 'I am Legend'

So I may be back soon if it's crap.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 07/02/2009 21:17

shite forgot balloons. got one hellium filled and forgot the rest.
dizzy bet he was shattered

freaky film that one oops.

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 21:22

I haven't seen it but I did like Hancock with Will Smith

No1 he was in a right state so I've promised myself I wouldn't do it to him again

sambo303triesforScotland · 07/02/2009 21:26

oops that film's great, enjoy!

we had curry too - on of dp's specials, delish

I also thought 'bucketsoflove', freaky!

LoveBuckets · 07/02/2009 21:36

VG Forgot to say I found you a writing job, kinda! Have discovered there's a niche in the market for a book about being adopted for adults that isn't full of frighteningly university-level psychology. There's plenty aimed at kids but there's nothing for the average adult who just want to know if what they're feeling is ok. In my despair at trying to find something for FIL I have bought The Primal Wound by Nancy Verrier and am highlighting useful phrases for him in the hope he will skim through and pick them out. It's fascinating, being an intact mum-and-baby-unit, reading all about separation and attachment but very very sad of course. It's not the mutually agreeable social convenience that we all think of it at all.

LoveBuckets · 07/02/2009 21:37

I did think Bucketsofluuuuurve but am premenstrual and not at all in the mood.

PetitFilou1 · 07/02/2009 21:37

I am appreciating all the new names but don't have time to come up with one as MIL here and Toby coughing his guts up

Will get my thinking hat on though.....

dizzy I completely understand the 3 days that is now 2 thing. I felt utterly stressed on Friday as would have got a lot done and then had all three of them at home - it completely threw me (control freak emoticon)

See you all later

LoveBuckets · 07/02/2009 21:38

No1 if there isn't enough food they will all go home and leave you in peace. Good thing, non?

PetitFilou1 · 07/02/2009 21:40

no1 I am with you on the purees combined with BLW - BLW taking four hours per meal is fine if you've only got one child but not otherwise! It is not as if some foods adults eat aren't soft and mushy anyway. But.....I repeat...... perhaps I won't say that on the weaning thread

Grampa in hospital tonight with bad stroke - my poor Granny - they've been married for about a hundred years. I think the hardest thing for her is being at home on her tod. This is about his 5th or 6th attack (but he is 87.....)

Now really am going

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 21:41

loveBuckets can I ask, I seem to have missed something sorry but why are you asking for your FIL? I know a couple of websites but no books sorry

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 21:43

oh and yes, I combine BLW and purees, when she's well enough to eat anything

PF hope Toby feels better soon and am so sorry to hear about your Grampa, hope your Granny is ok too
