Oh dear dizzy This is why I find myself surprisingly thankful to have such crap furniture and furnishings. Our Ikea sofa may be uncomfortable but at least I don't care that it's now drenched in baby sick.

Sazzles if you're stuck for something to do you can come round here and work your baby whisperer magic on Joe DP is up there right now, 10 minutes after settling him down for a nap

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 16:20

everything else is crap, just that pillow - ah well, it now at least matches all the other stuff

TiggerBuckets · 07/02/2009 16:37

Re facial rashes, tis the time of year I think. I think it's called 'spit eczema' - basically just keep slathering emollient and add a coat of vaseline before you go outside. When you come in to the warm, try and rub their cheeks a bit to avoid the temperature shock. Also don't bath them with anything containing sodium laureth/lauryl ether sulphate (basically soap) - try Aveeno or Bath E45 if you have to bath them at all.

True to form I had a good bounce on the bouncy castle at the special needs session. Got adopted by one little boy and we became Bouncy Lady and Bouncy Boy, superhero aliens walking on the moon. So lovely to see all those kids charging about without being moaned at. Didn't get a fry up though.

Hadn't thought of doing anything about PMT, only started getting it after DS1 was born, does seem a lot worse since DS2 actually (all 3 times anyway.) Will look into it too...

PMS homepathy stuff interesting. Think I'm a lycopodium gal with the old chocolate cravings.

Hey, better out than in. On the subject of poo, am about to start a laxative campaign on DS1's chronic diarrhoea. Theory is maybe he's actually constipated and this is a side effect. As I'm used to changing pooey nappies, I figure it can't hurt to try. Off to make apricot muffins...

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 17:16

VG I hope it works for you, I hold natural remedies in great esteem, well at least I used to, still trying to cling on to my belief in them

have also registered on rollercoaster to ask for help with somewhere for April although found this too here

sazz we seem to be poop city here BUT she's not had any solid food in about a week as she's not been well enough, may be time to start introducing it again to see if thats why she's not sleeping

funny how older ones always seem to wake up in foul moods after naps - apparently something to do with blood sugar levels - well I think I read that somewhere!!!

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 17:32

have you seen this?!?!?!? am not sure if I should have my nose put out of joint OR demand some freebies for almost pinching my name

VG I hope your DP is using more choice^ language than mine

I have to admit he's managed to tone it down considerably now that we no longer watch every single match in a pub somewhere but poor Dylan just about leaps out of her skin everytime he does a roar!!

are you that close to the stadium? I shan't tell Dh through fear of him turning up on your doorstep

Miamla · 07/02/2009 18:42

evening all
i've had a facial today and i'm booked in to have a pedicure next week
so in three weeks i'll have broken my manicure virginity, facial virginity and my pedicure virginity! started off as birthday presents but now they're to give DP some quality boy time and for me to get an hour off each week!
I"m really not a "treatment" kinda girl but i'm loving being pampered every saturday! once the salon goes back to full prices (everything is down to 30% at the moment), I think I'll copy albs and disappear to a cafe with a book for an hour

albs shall we tell them what we've got planned this week??

oops, haven't changed to my rugby name, i'll be right back!

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 07/02/2009 19:00

Miamla looking all shiney and new

VG I think we'll have some happy chaps in our houses this evening

PetitFilou1 · 07/02/2009 19:02

Hello all
Well I will start by saying I am 100% lycopodium! Although no sign of anything on that front - so no one need need worry about my PMT rage (yet) Be afraid, very afraid when that reappears

sazzles I can beat the puking story - with ds1 he threw up all over me when I was lying on my back balancing him on my knees. It was Summer and I was wearing a skirt. I will leave the rest to your imagination (yeuuch)

cyteen Don't take your hat off to me - I was barely still alive after Friday and utterly exhausted. Fortunately dh took ds1 and dd with him to pick up MIL this morning so I had a chance for my shoulders to return to where they should be instead of up round my ears (can laugh now but not funny yesterday)

Have just done battle trying to get ds1 to eat fish pie. You would think I was trying to feed him poison.

anyone seen my screwdriver anywhere?

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 07/02/2009 19:40

Kev - ask Dizzy I know she uses tools to attach her DD2 into bed.

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 07/02/2009 19:46

|Today we introduced DD to ricecakes - she was in total food heaven. Quite a bit went down and the rest left bits of her stuck to her bumbo.

I am the Calcarea carbonica PMS girl.

Cyteen and Ann fill-your-pants.com has an offer on at the moment if you register for their newsletter they give you£5 off your order of over £15. I just bought a red Itti Bitti D'lish fand a new set of boosters for £16.70. Was very temped by a bumgenius but don't know much about them.

cyteen · 07/02/2009 19:52

Miamla I am most jealous - I've never been a treatments kind of girl either but I could get used to being buffed, pressed and polished by paid hands once a week It'd be like a little taste of what we do for our LOs every day (minus the poo, of course).

On that subject, Joe has upped his poo quotient recently for no reason that I can discern - he was regularly getting it all out in one go with the first feed of the day (nice), now he will do two MASSIVE grunters in the morning followed by a stealth poo at around four o'clock This is where the new confused emoticon would really come in handy. I know it's not from solids as he's not really had any yet, just a couple of days of gumming some banana.

I am still wavering between pure BLW and spooning in some mushed-up stuff...BLW makes total sense to me in all ways and seems like the best way for us but there is a part of me that is keen to give him food because I want to see his little face light up as he discovers new tastes That's quite rubbish isn't it? Because it's not about me, it's about him and his own pace.

cyteen · 07/02/2009 19:57

oops you are a temptress I do like the Ittis, DS looks v cute in his lime green furry bottoms.
