Dylan shouting so definately up, wish me luck ladies as I think I may need it

oopsarugbyballshapedcoconut · 06/02/2009 23:04

Good Luck Dizzy with any luck you may be back down n a flash after feeding!

TwilightSurfer · 06/02/2009 23:05

Oops that's totally awesome. Plus the wave, priceless.

Poppy thanks. All's well and she's in a good place now.

Dizzy, glad I'm not ruffling feathers with my pick.

TS google Ronan O'Gara and you will see the perfect reason for supporting Ireland - especially when he is wearing little white wet shorts.

Miamla · 06/02/2009 23:12

poppy, that's such a good idea with the one jar a week but what happens if they prefer jar and refuse home-cooked?!

HazieDazieandBaby · 06/02/2009 23:14

Night sambo and dizzy! Hope you both have a good night, keeping my fingers crossed for you both.

Aww miamla, it's knackering isn't it? DD just wouldn't go down until about 11pm not so long ago. Not sure what changed to be honest. Maybe it was after her teeth came through, I'm rubbish at spotting patterns though!

I know TS, it's pretty bad when you want some advice and you get treated like that. That's why I only ask my stupid questions on our thread, you're all lovely!

oopsarugbyballshapedcoconut · 06/02/2009 23:19

Okay now I really am off to bed - enough about Mr O'Gara's bum has been said!

Night all Sleep tight and

HazieDazieandBaby · 06/02/2009 23:21

Aww oops! That pic's sooooo cute! I know what we'll be doing tomorrow now!

Good idea Poppy, I've got time to start doing it now so think I'll get onto it this weekend. She did take an apple one before (freebie from very handy Bounty pack!), but that was before I had cooked apples myself.

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 06/02/2009 23:23

Thought I would try out yet another new name before bed

Sibh · 07/02/2009 00:19

Oops- that name is plain wrong.
All girls are coughing here and DD2 is teething like a mad thing. The lack of sleep is driving me slightly mad. Still, I managed to do some cooking for next weekend's christening tonight so that is progress of a sort.

I read posts at the minute and unless I can see them when I'm writing I forget what I wanted to say. So I know I need to send good wishes to VG and hellos to Hazie, but it will have to be a general wave to everyone else.

I told DD1 a lovely story today about a rabbit called Madeleine with floppy ears. The story had all kinds of magic biscuits, talking birds and a bracing, feminist moral about independent girliness. When I finished she said, 'That's lovely. Can you tell another story tomorrow and the rabbit can get squished by a car because that would be funny.'

I'm up for joining your crazy daughters' club TS. Just tell me where to sign.

TwilightSurfer · 07/02/2009 00:24

GO RONAN! I AM SO GLAD TO BE IRISH!

Being reminded of Sazzles DD1 condition, which by the way, I am so sorry she's still suffering; reminded me about my own DD1. I forgot to report how things went today. As usual my child was a GOLDEN ANGEL for the doctor so my report/complaint of HORRIFIC BEHAVIOR looked rather silly. Actually DD1 has been really really good today. She respectfully agreed with her doctor that certain types of behavior are bad and that words are best. She gets to go be tested for all the regular cognitive stuff plus we'll monitor her sleep patterns and feeding patterns until our next visit. I'm excited about the cognitive testing because we'll get to find out her IQ and if there really is something wrong we will have time to prepare for kindergarten instead of being blindside once the school year begins in September. YEAH! I'm thrilled through and through.

Now fingers crossed she keeps it together while holidaying with the Sazzles Family.

Urgh morning all [bleary eyed emoticon]

DS woke for food at 6, he was shouting so woke DD who then came in our bed, woke us all up, cried because there wasn't enough room (there really isn't) then cried when her daddy went to sleep in her room. Finally got him in there, me DD and DS in my bed, peace resumed for two minutes before DS decides it's morning, at 6.45am so we've come downstairs and DH is getting a lie-in again .

Anyway, it's tiger bread with chocolate spread for breakfast here, with proper Yorkshire tea.

Supposed to be meeting a friend at soft play later this morning, it's her DS' 7th birthday. Well, she's our friend and it's the weekend so I assumed we'd all be going but no, DH thinks he might stay at home and leave me to take two DCs all by myself. Must be nice to pick and choose like that . Those who were bemoaning the constant on-call feeling, I am with you today. Have a feeling there's a pooey present waiting in DS' nappy, better go...

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

sambo303 · 07/02/2009 07:58

morning rotter your morning sounds like mine ,ds up and chortling at 6.08am - I've brought him downstairs to give dp a chance for a lie in

going to broach the idea of me going to parents for a rest today...

making Scottish brekkie this morning - fried lorne sausage, black pudding, and fruit pudding plus fresh potato scones from the griddle and morning rolls mmmm - all in this adds a mere 6000 calories to your daily total and I'll add a wee fried tomato for ts

we had another good night - I am mortified that all the nightly shenanigans have been my fault for keeping ds too cold

sambo303 · 07/02/2009 07:59

awww ds has fallen asleep on the couch! so sweet!!

rotterpotter · 07/02/2009 08:09

Yum Sambo, your breakfast sounds better than mine!

Don't feel bad about your DS, it's a learning curve for everyone, and everything you read stresses the importance of not getting your babies too hot, sometimes they overemphasise it a lot. For example all the warnings of NO BLANKETS with grobags, well my poor DS would freeze without one. Glad you seem to have it sorted and have had a couple of decent nights . And good luck forcing encouraging DP to see the wisdom in going to your parents for a bit.

My DS trying to eat a shoe...

sambo303 · 07/02/2009 08:55

it's a 6 Nations breakfast and will put hairs on your chest

just been looking at the squads on the website and think the Welsh boys are the best looking (or is that least damaged? and I'm not including Henson in that assessment), good choice miamla

I watched some big rugby match a few years ago (can you tell I'm not exactly up on rugby ) and found it much more EXCITING than footie

cyteen · 07/02/2009 09:10

No blankets with grobags? DS was under two folded cellular blankets last night while in his grobag and I still had to bring him in with us at 5.15

Anyway, morning all Have less than zero interest in rugby (sorry everyone) so will leave you all to discuss chunky thighs, in which I also have less than zero interest (it's a skinny man for me ).

Steaknife · 07/02/2009 09:21

Morning all - snowed in the night and we were woken up by the snow plough. But sadly only a half a pillows worth, still very pretty. We are off to town in a moment, DH insists the paths will be clear enough for the buggy, so he is pushing. I think I'll stash the baby bjorn just in case.

Hmm now then all this rugby chat. Dh believes Wilkinson is out of the squad for a broken fingernail

I was just looking at the England squad too, you can tell the chaps that haven't had caps yet, they don't look too roughed up.

Now are you all expecting me to take a Frenchy name for the tournament? I will, but it is under protest. I am an England girl through and through. So if anyone else wants to get all Frenchified feel free.

Oh and bonjour Hazie

rotterpotter · 07/02/2009 09:32

Cyteen I'm with you on preferring skinny men, sadly my DH has got a bit portly since he turned 40 and stopped smoking but he is still positively svelte in comparison to those rugby players. Good job he prefers a chunkier figue though

Hope you have a lovely walk Steaknife, definitely think the carrier is a good idea. Even my big-wheeled pram has been a bugger to push through the snow.

Better get ready for soft play fun...

TwilightSurfer · 07/02/2009 09:34

Okay. Now I have on my game face.

TwilightSurferGoIreland · 07/02/2009 09:42

Goodness! Thanks Sambo.

Buckets · 07/02/2009 09:43

Sorry guys I am full of the joys of a good night's sleep today! All 3 kids got up in good mood at 7am and the whole family has been building models, doing puzzles and playing with DS1's new circuit board kit. Kurt has gone down for a nap already so about time I got dressed.
We're all going to the monthly special needs softplay/bouncy castle session this afternoon and I am working on DH to take us early so we can have a fry-up for lunch. Leisure Centre and fry-up sound incongruous really don't they? They actually do a 'Breakfast Swim' ticket which includes a post-swim fry-up!
