PS try peppermint, fennel or ginger tea to help your tummy and restore fluids.

AnnVan · 13/02/2009 18:37

Oh no1 I saw that fb post. Glad M is perking up a bit.
buckets DP's younger sister has a particular story about him that she loves to tell, but aFTER THE MILLIONTH TIME HEARING IT i WAS FED UP - after all it is about him and a previous girlfriend and involves him being naked I don't need to know.

TwilightSurfer · 13/02/2009 18:41

No1 I'm so glad things appear to be more positive for Marcus. I've had you in my thoughts for days now.

As for that rude comment....you can firstly, delete the comment from your page by clicking on the X in the upper right area of the comment. Then to delete the friend, go to your friend list and click the X there as well. It will prompt you to be sure. There's a way to permanently fix it so they can't never attempt to contact you again but I can't remember if that's through the X feature or not. I'll be on facebook on and off today if you need help just IM me.

No1...sorry it's the EDIT button in the upper right of the comment (fb keeps updating it's procedures). Click it then select delete and the comment will be HISTORY!

It is however the X on the friend list that gives you the REMOVE priviledge. Friends aren't rude no matter your past so BOOT her BUTT into the INTERNET WASTELAND!!

Captain I totally missed Oliver's BIG ROLL. How AWESOME!!! Make sure you video it for all of us to see.

That goes for the rest of you VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO. You only get this moment once so record it while you can. DD1 LOVES to go back through all her old video clips and honestly so do I.

no1 I agree - there was no need to post that, although some people just don't think. The internet encourages people to be a little too free with information IMO.

VintageChampagneandGardenias · 13/02/2009 19:26

No1 - relief that doc thinks Marcus is ok but re. that stupid comment. What a daft feature for FB to have, "start a gossip". Not even feckin grammatically correct.

More after dindins.

Sazzles, QUESTION: St. John's Wart??? That a mood elevator. Homeopath recommended it for skin? I've actually been considering a homeopathic blend of it for DD1's mood swings.

Allezlesbluessteaknife · 13/02/2009 20:07

no1 - glad Marcus is okay.

CC - woohoo for the rolling. Iz is getting closer and closer to sitting unaided, she looks like she is doing baby tummy crunches.

As for fb - DH hates it calls it all kinds of rude names, I find it handy for keeping up with people at home.
He was also v paranoid about mning too. Though he just asked how all my mums were

Actually mansteak is feeling very sorry for himself cos of his dicky tum so his is actually only waving very feebly. Bless him.

Looks like lil un and I are coming over to UK at the end of the month as my nan (mum's mum) died today. She was 94 and been under the weather for a while and had a couple of days of being very poorly. She passed quietly and with my aunt with her. I'm sad that she didn't get to meet DH or Izzy.

I've spoken to my brothers, our black humour is coming out. Terrible but its our way.

Better go and attend to the mansteak. (that sounds much ruder than it is meant to)

dizzydixies · 13/02/2009 20:14

well done Sazz I believe its the pure kindness of strangers that makes the world go round

waves back to Mr Steaky - hope he's beginning to be on the mend. Am so sorry for the loss of your Nan too but glad she was with your aunt and it was peaceful. I fully understang about your black humour, I lost my mum in July just before having Dylan and we were always laughing in the hospice and after she went - I always hoped she heard the laughter and she knew that it was because of her that we were such a happy family

DD1 and DD2 and I all sitting on the couches with our 'laptops' DD1 has a VTech one all very real looking and she thinks she's the bees knees, DD2 is batteringaway typing on her Dora one and I'm on here lol
I've just had to post twice in Geeky Stuff asking for help as the laptop is playing up AND I've lost my photo gallery/photos etc off my mobile and it was full of great ones too which of course I wasn't organised enough to download

DH and I have had a niggly day which is very unusual - well for him anyway. Am not sure why esp as he got up with the DD2 this morning and left me in bed a bit longer. Feel terrible now as I think its money thats bothering him, I'll be on unpaid maternity soon so this will be the 15th will be my last pay till July and I think its praying on his mind. well I think thats it as I've just got a text saying he'll be working overtime until 4am

sambo303triesforScotland · 13/02/2009 20:21

lol steak, attend away!

no1 hope Marcus is on the mend now. I am at fb, your story has helped me decide I do not need fb in my life

sibh love the mounting disbelief. dp gave ds a crust of bread today at dinner, he shoved it straight in his mouth. We were but our meal was not really suitable blw food (omelette + chips) so we gave ds a rice cake, he choked and vomited on my skirt.. not sure he's that ready.

VintageChampagneandGardenias · 13/02/2009 20:22

Good news on the rolling, rolling, rolling... well done, babies!

Sazzles good for you on your good deed. That type of thing is always happening to me (well I have never run into a parking barrier but always getting stuck, falling over, etc) and you are just the sort of person I would want to have around! When ds was only weeks old I was stuck in a carpark unable to get the carseat unclipped from the buggy and ds was crying and these two lovely women got out of their cars and patted me and figured out the carseat and I will never forget how lovely it felt to be looked after by strangers in an hour of need. OK I know it sounds pathetic but I was stressed and weepy and not even able to walk very well!

Steaky sorry about your grandmother but will be nice for you to get back and be with family for a bit, even if for sad reason.

I still can't believe some of the babies are crawling! I look at ds and cannot imagine it. (I do think he said "Hello" the other day, though ).

I have made 2 Val's cards for the 2 men/boys in my life who can read and bought 2 lots of chocs which I fully expect to get a share of over brekker...

Sibh good luck on the christening front, all that cooking and all these people looming... hope it is a lovely, lovely day and no-one finds the bottle of wine which I hope you are stashing for your personal use in the bottom of the buggy . Hope Eibhlin (sorry can't do fadas) has a happy and peaceful day and she has proud and loving siblings & godparents.

VintageChampagneandGardenias · 13/02/2009 20:24

BTW Sazz I gave ds shreds of pain au raisins in Starbucks the other day so am a poor show too.

Allezlesbluessteaknife · 13/02/2009 20:33

VG - you just reminded me, DD and I got stuck in a lift, one of those all glass affairs, in the shopping centre in Gran Canaria. It was at the end of the afternoon so I had school girls miming at me to push the buttons and trying to prize the door open while the security guard in the supermarket in front of me just looked on.

Fortunately the lift man turned up and got me out so I was only in there five mins.

Awww sazz we should call you Saintsazzles. What a lovely thing to do, such kindness today is hard to come by. I'm sure she will be telling everyone about you!

lol at steaky attending to 'mansteak' . You're right, it does sound rude! O sounds like Iz, in doing the crunches in an attempt to sit up unaided. He's like a little shoot, slowly uncurling until he's straight

no1 so glad all is on the mend. Babies bounce back so quickly don't they? It's us oldies who take longer to recover . Hey, you are looking slim!!

ts have been doing lots of videoing of O but not captured his roll yet. He is also shoving his bum in the air when you put him on his tummy, so we don't think he'll be too long til he crawls. Some time in the next few weeks. Am in no rush for that day to arrive let me tell you! Thats when the chaos moves to a whole new level

sambo303triesforScotland · 13/02/2009 20:44

sorry about your gran steak.. was skim reading and did nt see that bit til now

vg did you make the cards using the 'ransome note' method? I did see a suitable headline in the sun today (not my paper, found it) which said 'sex god' but it's now in the recycling, a missed opportunity

CCsbdayisthedayaftervalentines · 13/02/2009 20:45

Yes sorry about your nan steaky Whereabouts in England did she live?

dizzydixies · 13/02/2009 20:56

CC am also in no hurry for Dylan to do anything - she's probably going to be my last so I'm happy to let her be a baby for as long as possible

any news on the house?

sazz I wonder if there is someone in chat telling everyone about the kindness of the stranger that came to her aid with hankies & wipes after she hurt herself

sambo lovely name but admit it, you're a Sun journo trying to get some dirt on us for your paper
