that'll be a cup not a cur!

LoveBuckets · 13/02/2009 10:52

Found it!

pertelote · 13/02/2009 11:05

Yes, thinking hard of No1 here too.

Cyteen sorry the interviews weren't successful. Your valentine's dinner sounds fab - actually everyone's do. Don't think we'll do anything special here, I always make a mess of such things. I'm a pretty adequate cook but somehow 'special occasion' meals always fall a bit flat...

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 13/02/2009 11:07

well, i'm sure DS will have something to say about it i anticipate eating in shifts as we run up and down stairs to see to him.

CCsbdayisthedayaftervalentines · 13/02/2009 11:14

ooh ooh ooh ooh - O just rolled over by himself for the first time!! . I was washing my hair whilst he lay on the landing and when I opened my eyes he was on his tummy, looking exceptionally proud of himself! Bless him

We don't really celebrate valentine's day - it is just a precursor to MY BIRTHDAY

sambo303triesforScotland · 13/02/2009 11:29

buckets thanks for asking - very bad night to report, very of ann, well done Seb. ds woke 7 times between 7pm and 6.30am. Should have kept him in bed with me but brain does not work too well after midnight. We are all shattered and fed up. Got up and put make up on and am going out to meet nct friends and ignore tiredness-induced headache and nausea.

hope there is news soon of Marcus and no1

mum and dad looking after ds tomorrow - we were going to go for lunch/a movie, but now think we will sneak home and get 5 hours kip ...very impressed with all this heart shaped cooking going on, wish I had the energy for it

sambo303triesforScotland · 13/02/2009 11:30

well done O!

TwilightSurfer · 13/02/2009 12:03

Still no word about Marcus. I'm really really worried. No1 is always on here. They must have admitted him for observation. >>

Not so bad a night here. Reese wanted to chat at 5am which I completely ignored. She got herself all twisted up trying to speak to her animals around 5:30 and had to be unwound and flipped back over.

I could really use a piece of toast....missing my kitchen at the moment. Off to the countertop showroom today to give them my new faucet and pick out the sink. Honestly there's was cheaper than the BIG CONSTRUCTION WAREHOUSE and better quality. How is that possible??? Oh well.

Valentine party at DD1's school today. YIPEE...NOT!! Sugar overloaded Wild Hellyun expected by NOON. Now where's my Calm Pills.

cc yay for O rolling over. I think Toby did it yesterday but hard to tell as sometimes the other two dcs 'helpfully' roll him over themselves. He is certainly trying to move to get to things. Ds1 developed a method of flipping himself over several times to get round the room, several months before he could crawl. Toby looks like he is going the same way.

For the first time in months I have done precisely nothing this morning. Just tried to go to sleep but couldn't get to sleep. Probably too much caffeine didn't help! The ironing is still unironed, there is washing in the machine and I am still on here.... Have to get dd in half an hour.

AnnVan · 13/02/2009 12:17

Well Done O!! Seb has rolled once, and never done it again since.
He's in no danger of crawling yet. When I put him on his tummy, he lies there with his feet sticking up in the air
He's napping and I really ought to be getting washing out the machine, doing washing up etc, but really can't be bothered
Still no word from no1 TS must be right, hope everything comes back ok.

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 13/02/2009 12:31

yay for O and yay for slothful pf give yourself a break woman, god knows you've earned it.

we have only just got dressed here but i've no excuse, other than that i wanted to give joe some food and he might as well get it all over last night's pjs as they are going in the wash anyway. he ate many softened slices of apple with a most curious look on his face. had a couple of chomps on some carrot too but i didn't think they were soft enough so only gave him the most cooked bits. think i am stuck between blw and purees - giving him bits of things to eat himself, but so soft that they turn to mush in his mouth

hotterpotter · 13/02/2009 13:05

Yay for rolling babies and yay for babies taking to food with gusto . Poor DS has sicked up loads of milk today after having a bit of trouble with some toast, so am going back to square one and trying a bit of baby rice tomorrow.

Well DS asleep again, DH has taken DD to nursery and then he's off to the supermarket so I have peace for a little while . Should probably sleep but too wired on caffeine now! Think I might get the Wii out and do some exercise

Does everyone else have this lovely day? It's beautiful outside; shame the garden is so boggy or I'd be out with my secateurs. Surely spring is just around the corner?

Oh by the way Buckets, DS is not strapped in to his pram, but he would have a job on getting out of it by himself. I don't think it's important at least until they can sit up all by themselves and we are still a little way from that milestone.

Right, off for a Wii...

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 13/02/2009 13:10

yes, tis gorgeous here too hotter, off down the supermarche after i've had my lunch. will probably end up buying something weaning-related out of overexcitement; went in boots for some handcream yesterday and came out with some Plum Baby porridge and orange-flavoured rice cakes

Sibh · 13/02/2009 13:11

Eibhlín is trying food here but her expression tends to - 'mounting disbelief'. I thought it just existed in badly written books but there you go ...

Just checking in for news of Marcus. Lots of prayers for him here too. If there's a smell of incense around that'll be me.

If I hide will the christening jobs go away?

poppysocks · 13/02/2009 13:19

Just checking in as well to see if there's news from No1.... Did notice that she posted on another thread yesterday afternoon but agree it's not like her to have been away for so long. Hope to 'see' you soon No1 and hear all's well.

DD2 is also developing a good line in rolling repeatedly to get around. DD1 hated being on her front so after she's rolled once or twice and realised where she ended up, she gave up. DD2 however has worked out that it helps (temporarily!) to escape the clutches of her big sister.

Sounds like a good morning pf.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 13/02/2009 13:24

Hi everyone. Firstly I would like to say a BIG HUGE thankyou for all your thoughs and well wishes. from the bottom of my heart that means so much.
So been back to the docs again.
Marcus was struggling to keep down antibiotics and sounds like a seal when he is feeding, nappies still not as wet and the smell of his wee is overpowering.
(so much dh wants to go back to disp)
anyway, doctor says he still doesnt seem that dehydrated, she checked is tummy and his 'bits' and is Fontanelle (sp?) etc... everything seems ok.
She siad I know my baby, and I am doing the right thing and should continue to monitor BM intake. hard when not expressing, I should try really hard to get him to take some water, if not bottle at least by spoon or cup. his wee smeels so bad because its so concentrated. She has made me an appoinment to see Paediatrician, to get him thoroughly checked over re weight and everything else.
Also said If I am not happy today, tonight, tomorw. Not to hesitate and take him staright to hospital.
and breathe........
Typical how they look so sorry for them selves at home and are all smiles for the doctor. He has had moments of smiles and perkiness today, so surely that is a good sign.
She also advised If I am happy to crack on with weaning,as was pleased with his head control.
Also agreed why I didnt wean while he is/has been poorly due to more calories in bm and the fact I needed to keep feeding as my supply seemed low due to sickness.

Sorry to waffle on, and thanks again for thinking of us all.

On a good note I have lost 12 lb in 3 days.

tis fantastic I can see and feel my ribs.
Only kidding I obviously wouldnt reccomend losing weight this way.

poppysocks · 13/02/2009 13:31

Phew! Glad you saw Doc and she could reassure you a bit. Here's hoping you he picks up soon. Hopefully he will now that you're recovered.

Sibh · 13/02/2009 13:35

Oh, it's great to hear from you No1. It does sound as if Marcus is picking up, and it is wonderful that you have such a supportive GP.

12lb in three days? Do make sure you have time to rest and recover yourself ...

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 13/02/2009 13:39

Thankyou.
I have been in the house since last saturday. In for 2 days running is about the most I can do.
Serious cabin fever setting in. will be going out for a walk with dog and let dd have a run about shortly.
Sun is shining (though cold)

I don't have much energy at all. Scared to eat tbh. still bad stomache cramps (prob hunger) but no sickness since tuesaday.

Gutted that have had to cancel christening, doesnt look like can reschedule till april. So the gown prob wont fit.
Oh well rather have everyone fit and well.

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 13/02/2009 13:46

oh thank goodness no1, i was really thinking the worst glad to hear you've got all the right support in place and that Marcus is doing okay. onwards and upwards!

but definitely do try and get yourself better too. lots of calming food (delivered to your bedside by DH ).

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 13/02/2009 13:52

Ok is it possible to remove a so called friend from facebook.
She as posted some gossip message asking 'so who thinks Rowena is Bisexual??
wtf
Ok so she knows my past, for some reason it has pissed me off big time.
I am not ashamed of it,but Oh I dont know it has just annoyed me. I know if dh sees this he will prob think god knows what.

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 13/02/2009 14:02

yes, i saw that and thought just delete her from your friend list if you want - life's too short.

dizzydixies · 13/02/2009 16:48

no1 pleased all seems well, I do hope he's improving

had a nice day here which started with Dylan sleeping through from her dream feed

DD2 was up from about 5.30am onwards though and is currently sleeping it off in the car

took girls to shops for new wellies this morning, quick tour of Tesco and then friends for lunch where we chucked the eldest 4 out in the snow to beignored play while we ate

DH now away to work and DD1 and I being industrious at the kitchen table

lets hope calm remains a bit longer!!!!

alittlebitshy · 13/02/2009 17:11

*no1" so glad it's under control
xxx

LoveBuckets · 13/02/2009 17:52

Not bad news then No1. If you hover the cursor around that gossip post you might get an Edit option in which case you could delete it. I'd be pissed off too, I was a right slapper in my youth which I am allowed to say but if anyone else did they would feel the full force of psychic warfare waged against them. I went out with a friend's older brother who had no discretion whatsoever so both friend and her younger brother like to mention certain antics whenever we bump into each other. Does my head in because as I am married now thanks.
