Sorry bout that cyteen, hope something similar or better comes up for your dp, certainly a bit of M&S might hit the spot tonight.

pf one shout is no harm, you can't go buying a sweatshirt a month!

cc O is too smart for you

Buckets poor old db, I know a family who went off to Oz with high hopes, came back about 6 months later, couldn't get it to work (couldn't get a job) but had a blast, didn't regret it.

No1 if you are around - thinking of you. Hope Marcus is ok.

Sazz swim & massage sound great! Walked about 3 or 4 miles today I think, was happy to get such a stretch but had bare feet (sockless) in unbroken-in-shoes! So have sore, rubbed patches all over the knuckly bits of my plates. Most unattractive. & hurts!

Can hear ds1 moithering - I didn't do his story cos had to get a piece of work out before collapsed with tiredness - but he is STILL awake - better go and placate with four sentences out of his nightly chapter . We are reading David Walliams' book The Boy in the Dress. Pleasantly surprised so far.

Rambling.

Night all.

No1, sending vibes >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Marcus. xx

oh dear think we are in for a difficult night, ds has been up crying at 9.30 and 10.30 already. He has a cold - he's hoarse and has a tiny pathetic cough, ultra cute . May think he's less cute if he continues to wake every hour!

TwilightSurfer · 12/02/2009 23:54

hi

No1 for Marcus.

take out it is. thanks for making it seem okay. not having a kitchen sink is very confusing. dh got his way and we will now have a new undermount sink and faucet instead of just reusing our old sink & faucet. also i got fed up with the carpet folk and took the advice of two friends and spoke to a new local chap today. his prices are much better and he'll have the room done by next friday instead of 3 to 4 weeks from now.

as for reese, she was a dream child again today. she just goes anywhere without issue. her sister on the other hand started the day with a tantrum and it appears she's going to end the day with one as well. and on the topic of that other wing, sazzles, it's a big house...i'm sure we can come up with something.

no heartshaped ladygarden here either. wouldn't matter what the shape as all the actions in the dark so the trouble would be stupid. lol

i assume the thread will be quiet for the next few days as valentine's takes over in rl. i wish everyone a very wonderful holiday.

Still no time to post properly as I'm cooking like a mad thing for this christening.
Sorry about the job news Cyteen.
And more best wishes, if that's possible, for Marcus. Goodnight all.

Expectant · 13/02/2009 02:21

cc think our LOs must be in collusion as only mum will do here too.

sibh hope the christening goes well.

Am a bit to say that have bought 2 valentines cards one for DH and one for DS!

hotterpotter · 13/02/2009 08:30

Morning everyone, sorry have no energy to make breakfast, it'll have to be just bread and jam.

Have had a shit week sleepwise and last night was the worst one ever I think . DS was up at 2 then 4, but then he would only go back to sleep if I was sat up cuddling him every time I tried to lie down he'd wake up, so have managed only 30 minutes or so since 4. Then, to top it all off, DD wet her bed at 6.30 which she hasn't done for months. Friday 13th certainly pissing me off today

Have read the thread but can barely remember what I've seen!

Sibh good luck for the christening

Cyteen sorry about DP's job

Dizzy I hope you find somewhere for your holiday

CC don't worry I'm sure O won't still be bfing at 21

No1 thinking of you and Marcus

Everyone, have a lovely day

Fecking DS snoring on my lap now better go and get a shower

Allezlesbluessteaknife · 13/02/2009 08:38

Mornin all.

A good night here from Izzy, woke up once at 3ish and then went till 6.30. DH however another story. Has a tummy bug so was lights on, running down to the loo, sick then running back up and lights off. Several times.
MIL has been swabbing door handles and taps down with alcohol this morning, even the ones he hasn't touched.

He's off work and going all out for sympathy. But I'm still a bit cross at him for being a mardy git yesterday. I'll ease up soon enough.

I presented Iz with toasted baguette this morning. I had high hopes but maybe the pressure got to her. She was decidedly uninterested and didn't even make the piece in her hand as far as her mouth.

poppysocks · 13/02/2009 08:51

Morning rotter. Sorry to hear it was such a rubbish night. Know what you mean about never remembering what it was you wanted to say after reading the thread through. Memory like a sieve here.

Have you see this Dizzy? Not much help, but some solidarity and threat of a class action if necessary!

Thinking of you No1 and Marcus. Hope all well.

Good luck with the christening sibh.

poppysocks · 13/02/2009 08:53

Sorry steaky - x-posted there. Sorry about DH's bug.

Allezlesbluessteaknife · 13/02/2009 08:54

Morning all! Can I report a good night here! Yippeeeeee! got seb down about 11.30 and that was it. Had to wake him at 9!
Seriously need a good mattress though, I'm waking every morning with terrible backache which gradually fades through the day.

HP sorry for crap night (I'm not gloating btw, we'll probably be back to rubbish nights again tonight)

Hope Marcus is ok. Will stay positive and hope no news is good news.

Right. Going to take off Seb's night nappy, then get nappies out of washer

petitfilowersandchocolates · 13/02/2009 09:43

Hmmm no news from no1 Hope Marcus is ok

Feel terrible here and Toby won't go to sleep so can't nap (haven't napped at all since he was born but really need it)

Might be back later (quite likely )

LoveBuckets · 13/02/2009 09:59

Good result sleewpise Ann. Sambo how'd it go for you last night?

I was summoned a couple of times, picked him up, put him down again and that was that. 7.30-7am and still no poo so am expecting poo de doom. Kurt is finally getting in the swing of weaning, 1 Cow&Gate fruit puree and half a ricecake per day so far.

Oops Does that mean the baby isn't strapped in at all in a carrycot or pram when lying down? Honest ignorance here, I stay away from prams because they remind me of shopping trolleys!

Do you know I have never used a creche??? I've always worried that they won't be able to cope if my baby misbehaves or freaks out. Irrational really, since that's exactly what I'd be paying them for. Considering how chilled out all my babies have been, not sure what my problem is. I should try it shouldn't I?

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 13/02/2009 10:19

yawning morning all

Celebrations to those with improved nights, commiserations to those still under the cosh. I think last night would have been fine if not for a catastrophic nappy leak at 1am...Joe went to bed just after 7pm and we didn't hear from him at all until midnight - fed, back down straight away, no problem...until he drenched himself in wee. Then obviously I had to change him, then of course he was awake...DP got up with him at around 5am as I was dead to the world.

Ah well. He is in fine form today and the sun is shining down so no complaints really

Am worried by no news from no1 I am praying hard in every non-religious manner I can muster.

sambo thanks for the dessert idea, I am going to do that tomorrow night along with bruschetta to start and steak with garlicky oven wedges for mains.

petitfilowersandchocolates · 13/02/2009 10:32

cyteen I am very worried. I am thinking kidney problems - it was my first thought. no1 please come and tell us how he is

ditto re the praying in non religious manner (lol at that I do that all the time)

petitfilowersandchocolates · 13/02/2009 10:34

buckets never used a creche either but actually I think Toby would love it. Its only an hour while you go for a swim or something isn't it and (if that is what you are doing) they call you to come back if any probs

AnnVan · 13/02/2009 10:39

I've written on no1's fb wall. Worried here too. Hope they're ok.

LoveBuckets · 13/02/2009 10:47

Quick question, Sazzles' belly pork recipe - was that on this thread or the last one?

CCsbdayisthedayaftervalentines · 13/02/2009 10:50

lol at praying in non-religious manner I am praying too, and I remain convinced that all prayers are heard . Praying that Marcus is ok and also for peace of mind and strength for No1 and MrNo1

oops thanks for the cur recommendation, I shall keep my eyes peeled for that

dizzy I still owe you money for Tom's lunchbox - can you text me your address and I will get a cheque in the post to you,
