No1, Reese stays in the same diaper from 8p to 7a. She only slightly wakes to feed. I'm not about to bother her by chilling her butt cheeks. I know that is not the reason she's got diaper rash but it could be the reason she's not getting rid of it any quicker. For what it's worth I goop her butt up good before that last diaper is put on.

No coffee setting tonight. I expect ALL to sleep in since it's Sunday. Reese has texted all your little one's to adhere to the mommy mandate....or else.

I think it's early to be for me. I've only been up since 2:30am and it's 7pm now. How on earth did I manage to make it through the day??????

Morning...
tea and ready brek?!

Dd and i were out yesterday afternoon seeing Joseph (see my FB status lol). Got back and dh said ds had been fine til bedtime then he'd cried til he fell asleep in dh's arms. Lately he's been going down awake for me. Half an hour later he woke up and very much appreciated some mummy cuddles bless him.

We were having a full night in one nappy but when he was waking up for feeds it was leaking witht eh extra flui intake so we're sometimes having to change it. Also night i fed him at about 2am, dh went in to settle him after i'd put him down too early - I wanted my bed lol - he noticed ds stunk and had done ANOTHER poo. Seriously, since weaning we're getting maybe 8 poos a day . Am sure it will calm down, but enough already.

no1 argh - baptism prep. I kepe meaningh to sort some balloons. Must do so!

Kurt has a nightnappy on from his 10pm feed but when he drops this he'll be in it from his 6-7pm feed so 12-13hrs yeah. This morning he woke up at 4ish to do a poo!. Then another at 8am!

My superhighfibre muesli muffins were quite unmuffinlike but ok spread with butter like scones. Am off to buy figs, prune juice, allbran, wholemeal flour etc for DS1's new experimental diet. Had always kept him away from whole wheat stuff as it made his nappies worse but now thinking maybe if he is actually impacted/constipated, they were doing the right thing.

Morning All

DD got TS's memo she slept until 5.30 then I thought she wanted feeding but she just grizzles, chatted, farted and went back to sleepntil 8am . As a result I wooke up looking like Jordan and DD had one side and I pumped 180ml of the other side.

I can offer bacon, eggs, toast fruit and coffee, tea and hot choccie.

We are not off to church this orning as I can't get my car over the snow ice pile at the end of the drive.

Sazzle - Hope Emma enjoys her porridge.

I too am going to do a mix when we start properly. She has had a few meals of sweet potato chunck and micro softened apple but nothing regular as although she seems to have to co-ordination I'm not sure her tummy is ready. But last nights rices cakes didn't seem to upset her. So rice cakes are go and will hold off the proper food until 26 weeks.

ALBS - A Gareth crush - be ashamed very ashamed

Still waiting for new Ikea shop to open here before really committing to weaning, really need an Antilopp! 2wks to go...

oopsRonanOGarascoconuts · 08/02/2009 09:09

Buckets we are off to Ikea on Friday - Antilop, plastic bowls and plastic stacking cups are on out list.

Allezlesbluessteaknife · 08/02/2009 09:12

Just popping in to say to Dizzy - my mum went through something similar as your FIL. Not finding out till she was adopted till she was an adult. I could ask her if she has any useful resources if you like. Let me know if this would be useful.

Will catch up on rest of thread later, but in the meantime here is a frangipane tart for you to share - MIL made it last night, tis yummy.

alittlebitshy · 08/02/2009 09:13

I had thought we'd do BLW but ds is so not a BLW kind of a boy. He's deffo a purees "spoon it in as fast as you can please mummy" kind of a lad and when presented with finger food will chomp off too much and gag, making me hysterical panic. I think if i'd known about BLW when dd was a baby (and waited til 26 weeks - instead of 17 weeks as was told) she'd have be more of a BLW kind of girl...

Allezlesbluessteaknife · 08/02/2009 09:37

Sorry - should have been for buckets not Dizzy. Brain not yet inge ar, I clearly need more of the frangipane tart.

LoveBuckets · 08/02/2009 10:24

Aw thanks Steaky, I'm actually finding it quite good brain exercise making this highbrow book more accessible. Wow, that must have put your mum through the wringer not knowing til later.

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 08/02/2009 10:37

Joe must not have checked his messages last night as it was sleep chaos here I won't bore you with the details but will present you with a little snapshot: at 5.30am DP gets up and takes Joe downstairs as I have not really rested - at 8.30am he brings him back, still awake. At 10am Joe is still awake I eventually got him to nod off by rocking him in the car seat, but wtf?

So none of us are feeling that dynamic today!

itwasCYTEENagewedding · 08/02/2009 10:38

Oh, night nappies: Joe stays in the same nappy, whether disposable or cloth, all night unless it leaks or is full of poo. Doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest

Maybe Joe's a morning person too. If Kurt isn't napping when it's convenient for me I just bung him in the sling and he nods off.

Ooh, Marmite rice cakes a big hit here! Bought some this morning and definitely more into them than normal ones (probably the yummy salt.)

Bacon, Biscuits and OJ here. Although a little late for most of you. The girls slept in. Sorry Sazzles will check Emma's saved txt number. I made DH do Reese's 5am feed because I was just too tired. Last week has finally caught up with me. We weren't allowed to sleep bast 8am though because the beep beep beep beep beep beep that had DD1 completely excited. You see yesterday we noticed a leak in the neighbhor's yard while out playing. They are lovely people and thanked up for pointing it out because it was in a really odd place, one they'd never notice. So for our good deed, the WATER COMPANY was outside our house at 8am to correct the problem. On a SUNDAY morning. I asked DH if I should call the neighbors so they would know the crew was here digging (because I wanted them to be awake too). He said they'd figure it out when they couldn't take a shower for church.

Best wishes to all on lovely strolls outside today. I expect we'll be up to the same.

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 08/02/2009 15:10

DH let me have a lovely lie in this morning bless him, won't bore you with the details of the night!!

been to gymnastics/toddler gym and out for lunch - we manage to spill water all over the table and DH's crotch and milk all over the chairs but the girls were well behaved and the food was ok and I ran into lovely old friend from Uni so nice afternoon all in all

Dylan napping, DD2 wreckingtheplace playing and DD1 watching the rugby with us

kilts and tammies on ladies, tis time for the Scots to shine

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 08/02/2009 15:15

steaky meant to say I've always known I was adopted, a bit hard not to when you're brother is a 6ft8 ginger lanky bloke and you're 5ft6 dumpy blonde my parents explained it to me when I was old enough to understand and although it doesn't really present me with any huge issues it always leaves a sense of unanswered questions

its nice though to finally have the girls so if someone says DD1 has my eyes, well yes she does!!

dizzyTHETARTANARMYdixies · 08/02/2009 15:16

oh and forgot, No1 hope today is going well and you're not getting too stressed
