Awww that is gorgeous! I really like the Guess How Much I Love You range. I'm sure they'll love it. I thought it might be your highchair. I can't help regarding your high chair question MyJob, but I was propped up in my highchair at the age of four months and it didn't do me any harm! I got Martha this which is suitable from birth as it tilts back. She LOVES being in it and sitting with us while we eat. It was bloody expensive but she'll be able to use it until she's 8.

MM - I asked you a question about that the other day, but you prob didn't see it. Do you find it easy to clean? Actually, I suppose you haven't really had to clean food crud off it yet have you? I was thinking that maybe you'd had it before. Am still torn between a used one on ebay (orange, which wouldn't be my first choice) or a new Ingelsina Zuma which would be £30 cheaper. I need to decide very very soon or the ebay one will be gone!

Guess who's put on 9oz this week???

Honeymoonmummy · 19/02/2009 15:39

Bloom even!

Love the pressie Myjob.

Honeymoonmummy · 19/02/2009 17:31

I want to treat Poppy to a few new toys. What have you all found to be good buys?

CherryChoc · 19/02/2009 18:11

Just popping in again - you all chat too much to keep up!

Honeymoon, the winkle is a big hit! Not being dirty, it's a real toy... although he has recently discovered the other one as well I think you can get them from Mothercare and the NCT online shop. Ryan loves it as he can grab it very easily, I put it just in front of him when he is on his tummy and he grabs for it. You can also put it in the fridge to cool and act as a lovely soothing teether (though we haven't tried that yet).

heather1980 · 19/02/2009 18:15

these are good link
dd loved this link but i had to take it back after the filling started coming out of the seams!
this will get on your nerves link
this is rubbish link
and this is good as well link

Marthasmama · 19/02/2009 19:10

Very sorry CSWS! I find if I miss a day of checking the thread you all talk so much it takes ages to catch up! I haven't cleaned it yet, but there are two trays with are fairly easy to remove. The chair seat pad thingy comes off fairly easily too. I can't see too many nooks and cranies for food to get stuck in, I'm sure that Martha will find some though! You can get the seat pads seperately so you could change the orange.

Martha got a Vetech cow thingy for Christmas that has three button things on it and she quite likes that. She gets very invloved with pressing the buttons then loses it completely when she can't get her hands to behave! I don't normally like Vetech as it is all very twee. I got some Lamaze hand rattles and sock things that help babies to 'find their feet'. Again these really annoy Martha. She likes her pink bunny and still loves her baby gym now that she can hit the toys to make the music play.

Marthasmama · 19/02/2009 19:11

Oh and Woohoo Poppy for gaining lots of lovely weight. Unless it was you Honeymoon !

Marthasmama · 19/02/2009 19:23

On the toy front I was thinking of getting this. Any thoughts? I had a door bouncer for DS but he hated it. He just hung there spinning slowly round in a circle on one foot, crying his eyes out. Then when he was a bit older, he just tried to walk while he was in it. All round disaster! I thought that this might be a) safer b) more interesting and c) less likely to result grumping. It is blardy expensive though.

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/02/2009 19:53

Get one from ebay if you do get one mm - cheaper for a new one, but some second hand if you prefer.
Personally I prefer this sort of thing, but similar principle I suppose.

The you tube review of the Bloom says that food bits get stuck in the velcro under the seat, but that was the only place iirc.

Stacking cups are the best purchase possible for value for money, although she may not use them for a couple of months yet (though you could use them to pour water over her in the bath if you wanted). Dd still uses hers, so we've just bought ds a set of his own.

It might be worth asking because of the inconvenience. It's not like their packaging did a particularly good job of protecting your goods. The fault is their's, explain that as they cannot replace your item you'll incur additional costs replacing from another stockist. Good luck and stick to your guns!!!

Marthasmama · 19/02/2009 20:39

Wow CSWS! That IS so much cheaper! I will take your advice! Cheers

jenwa · 19/02/2009 20:47

Wow you all have been chatting!

Those with big norks please pass some over here I have small ones and could feed lying down but now not feeding they have shrunk more was like you myjob they leaked lots (not much room to fill!)

sorry about your pressie myjob what a nightmare. It makes me sooo cross too when that happens. It happened with Next once when we ordered mugs and we ended up getting them for free you never know!

MM love that hight chair, wow how fab. I have same as myjob but not put Phoebe in it yet but then she is, well I was going to say smaller than naomi but actaully she probarly is not, but she is younger!

My friend said we could borrow her playstation for Phoebe, I was a little shocked then realised she meant one of those things to sit it, an activity table! I did think surely they cant use Playstations/ XBox etc at such an early age doh, me and my blondness!

jenwa · 19/02/2009 20:51

I have been looking at this pushchair for dd2 now.
I have such a big pram but want a cosy pushchair which can lye down and has a big basket
The maclaren quest I liked (withough big basket) is out of stock in mothercare and cant find anywhere else.
The one on ebay is cheap and local so may be worth a shot.
I have been ebaying lots too so got some money in my paypal now

Honeymoonmummy · 19/02/2009 21:01

Oh I'm sorry about your friends pressie Myjob! POppy already has the carrot book, she's just started to look at it. Thanks for the links folks. What do people do for bath toys? She shows no interest in ducks and all the other bath toys I've found seem to be 6m plus- does it matter??
