afternoon all, i am sitting on my sofa recovering from my trip to the corner shop! its still a bit icey and tricky to get the push chair thru, left me gasping for breathe!!

fury i was wondering if all is ok too, but didnt want to ask. do keep us updated, like i said the other day we are worriers!

im hungry but im not sure what for... off to raid the cupboards!

HellHathNoFury · 07/02/2009 14:09

Thanks for the worries everyone

I had a lot of bleeding starting one afternoon and through the night, and later the next day I called the EPU, who wouldn't see me without a referral, and I called the GP who said that they were fully booked but the duty dr would call, and she did, and we had a chat, and she said not to worry all is most likely fine based on colour of blood etc and as I hadn't bled at all that day was probably nothing, and if it happened again to go straight to A&E if I was worried.

Well I didn't bleed at all since and I have a sodding massive belly - there is no way I can possibly be first trimester, I am bloody massive already - so I think I am probably ok. Have my first appointment with clinic on wednesday, then will get booked in for scan.

Bumperslucious · 07/02/2009 14:41

Glad it's all settled down. You could still be first trimester. I think it is very common to be bigger much earlier with the second. Do you have any idea how far along you might be? Are you feeling any better yet?

Glad the gym went ok jammy. I really must get out running, I'm such a lazy slattern at the moment.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 07/02/2009 14:49

aw so glad its all settled for you.
if its any help my belly is so big ppl are offering me seats on the bus, as early as 11 weeks.
i think its cos ur muscles are already just so shot from the first, esp as they are fairly close together.
maybe ur having twins lol! there are like 6 ladies on my antenatel thread having twins must be something in the water!

now i really MUST get some housework done. im hoping if i move around enough i wont be so bloody cold.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/02/2009 14:49

Well done for getting to the gym jammy. I'm restarting my swimming this week.

feel like shite today. have some sort of lurgy involving aching joints, headache and feeling very sick. I've not actually been sick, but feel like it's imminent (not unlike morning sickness ). It started last night and I got very little sleep what with rushing to the loo thinking I was going to chuck and then feeding a voracious DS (four times he fed last night!!)

Fury, I was in maternity stuff from about 12 weeks with DD and 8 weeks with bumble, so it definately hangs looser with each subsequent pregnancy! Good Luck with your appointment and scan.

DH and DS have gone fishing.....bloody nutters; there is still loads of snow down here.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 07/02/2009 14:56

I'm hoping to go for a swim tomorrow too Daisy, and subsequent Sundays. Maybe we can egg each other on?

egging each other on sounds good jammy

wow burnsy; a tenacious little thing is she?I know tons of women who have had big bleeds and all has been fine; it's much more common than you'd at first think.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 07/02/2009 17:03

oo id love to go swimming every week, however there are no pools near me now
mind you saying that when i was 2mins from one i only went once and we were living there a year!!

yeah thomas doesnt like the eco, he has a problem with noisy or busy places, this has been getting worse, hence the tantrums on things like buses.
we do try to take this into account whenever planning to do things with him, but u cant always avoid it unfortuantly.
part of me hopes that the occasions he has to grin and bare it will help desensitise him a bit.
i also have that problem with swimming pools, i find them quite confusing if busy. its ok if there arnt alot of ppl there, but one time i went in half term and had to leave in half hour as i felt dizzy with it!
come to think of it i hate central london cos its busy, and i prefer silence.

its difficult cos i dont know how much of his behaviour is from me, or if its a problem.
i also found from talking to my mum the docs wanted to refer me as a child, and then my primary teacher, but my dad wouldnt let me go as far as he was concerned i "was fine"

does anyone know if things like ASD is heritry?

hmm might google it.

so, it's the weeken. Guess where we've been?

off to catch up.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 07/02/2009 19:46

ah yes i love the museums.
but i find the tube unbearable, and train stations in london just to difficult to be in.
too noisy, too busy.
tho when i get there its worth it.
we have taken the kids quite a few times, science is our favourite. but i have to syke myself up b4 i go, and get quite panicky on the underground (on the actual train)
its silly cos i know nothing is going to happen to me, but its like my brain gets fuzzy with it and i cant filter out the noise.

oh ria where u been? (exciting!!)

nowhere exciting, just A&E. poor DS2 slipped/tripped in town and slid along the pavement on his chin. We rushed to Boyes to buy tissues and one of the staff mopped him up and got the first aider who sent us to A&E. He is glued up and steristripped He ws very brave, and DS1 was fab looking after baggins for me at the hospital.

lmao burnsi! thats a bloody good idea!

poor ds2 ria i did things like that all the time as a kid lol

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 07/02/2009 20:41

Poor DS
I have steristrips in the cupboard left over from stabbing a kitchen knife into my hand on New Year's Eve a few years ago.

he was very brave. he is currently eating Peppa Pig birthday cake - it was reduced in Morrisons from £7.99 to £1.99! I bought him treats as he was so good.
It is pretty impressive that you both are able to apply steristrips (by able I mean that I couldn't even look at DS2s chin, and I am a bit panicked every time he asks me too look and see if it's come apart)

LackaDAISYcal · 07/02/2009 20:59

poor DS ria; I hope it isn't too painful.

Still feeling rank here. I'm half considering sticking my fingers down my throat as I think I'll feel better if I was actually to vomit.

DH is having a wobbly moment this evening and seems very down . It's not like him and has thrown me as I'm the flaky one; he's normally rock solid. Off to have a chat and a cuddle.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 07/02/2009 21:01

It wasn't a cooking accident. I made a (even though I say it myself) fab dinner for 7 with no mishaps, then got a bit drunk during dinner and merrily pushed knives and forks into the cutlery basket of the dishwasher, impaling myself on the steak knife that I failed to notice was pointy end up. I still managed to cook a full english for everyone next morning though (even though no body offered to help!).

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 07/02/2009 21:03

Sorry you're feeling rough Daisy. And DH too (though in a different way). Hope you are all OK soon.

Bless DS Ria. He's obviously been very brave.
