yes so god knows where this one came from, lurking in the back of a cupboard somewhere no doubt!!!

needs must and its either that or I'm opening the sodding chocolate buttons!!!!!!

Buckets · 03/02/2009 19:59

Ha! It was the peanut ones I hated so although it's great not to have them anymore, they do now lack that little adrenalin rush.

Am stuffed after lovely birthday tea with DS's only friend and his mum. She brought a bottle of wine but I am still delicate from Sunday's self-inflicted pukathon so I gave it back to her when she went LOL. DS is loving the gigantic head of Jah Jah Binx backpack although we had to hide it as his friend was scared of it! It's pretty lifelike (yeah I know he's a CGI character .)

open the buttons! open the buttons! open the buttons!

My DH taught himself total immersion from a book too. Doesn't sound such good exercise to me though - efficient for getting from A to B (eg Dover to Calais) but all that thrashing about oldskool style is surely more aerobic?

Forgot to pass on yesterday's choice DS1 cartoon threat:
"I'm going to put you in the oven Mummy and transform you into toast!"

oopsacoconut · 03/02/2009 20:26

DD ad a piece of sweet potato at dinner time tonight and loved itbut not sure how much went in, she even did chewing and sorted out her own gagging. Will keep it to a munimum though. She did grab DH's spoon at lunch and got a mouthful of pea soup - thankfully I use salt free stock but it did have pepper and mint in it - she was grabbing for more and drooling on DH for more. He did confess to giving her another spoonful when I left the room He fails to understand the weaning rules!

I have made apple, blackberry and plum crumble and can offer ice cream, double cream or custard to go with it.

Sazzles will google total immersion swimming later, it sounds interesting.

AnnVan · 03/02/2009 20:26

Hi all. God I'm tired. SIL has come round with food, and is entertaining the little man, keeping him awake so that he will sleep later (we hope)

mmmm chocolate buttons. Really fancy a toasted teacake with butter.

Sazzles I don't plan on missing anything out on her menu - she can eat what we eat BUT only when she is 6 months She did prefer the soup to the potato. I am tempted to give her a little apple with cimmamon and vanilla as her first puree.

PetitFilou1 · 03/02/2009 20:34

Hi all
Sorry have been missing for a few days but don't think anyone has missed me - I've missed you though

Dh has been snipped (or should I say burned today) - has been MOANING ever since. To be fair to him though he did say it was more of an ache than something that required bucketloads of painkillers. No more babies here but we agreed that a 4th would a) kill me b) would cause us too much financial strain and c) we don't have enough emotional energy to go round four...... I will just have to love Toby extra for being my last baby. Not hard as he is so lovely. He's a very easy baby and very very happy.

Have skimmed over last few posts and annvan I think definitely check for an ear infection. My children have only ever screamed inconsolably because of that or teething and nothing else ....so far.

How is everyone feeling about their body image atm? Mine is crap. I tried some clothes on in Monsoon -lovely things in there atm - and just felt huge and old. dh says I am neither although did admit he thought I looked tired.

oopsacoconut · 03/02/2009 20:35

oops I forgot

oopsacoconut · 03/02/2009 20:39

PF - I am having a crappola time with my body image too - I refuse to try anything on ANYWHERE although I did buy some clothes in the Joules Sale and it fits okay. I am still carrying a load of extra weight which I think (hope and pray) that it will dissapear when I stop or cut down on the BF, so in about 6 months. I caught sight of myself in a photo last week and I was horrified! So exercise and healthyish eating is doing bog all.
