no1 is he normally good at taking a bottle? if he is, is it worth expressing some now? but then that might leave you low for tonight. Perhaps it would be an idea to get some formula from your neighbour just in case he does the same during the night (and its then too late to knock on her door)

Miamla · 01/02/2009 20:48

i actually popped on here to say
DS has pooed!!!
DP very kindly allowed me to change him
Its actually a shame it wasn't 10mins later because he'd have been in the bath with DP [evil]

CaptainCaveman · 01/02/2009 20:50

Praying all goes well at the next feed no1 miamla we got O to do this somehow. I'd like to pretend I can remember how, even though it was only a few weeks ago.....good luck though!

sambo303 · 01/02/2009 21:02

no1 hope things go better tonight - it's good to have some formula around for emergencies

here's hoping for good nights for all ladies suffering from sleep deprivation

ds took some ebm in a bottle twice today - hooray. We've arranged the spare room so dp has a quiet place to sleep tonight (thanks buckets I just needed a kick up the a**e to sort that out) but we're still going to try the formula tonight as an experiment to see if ds is waking from hunger or habit.

sambo303 · 01/02/2009 21:03

there is a thick blanket of snow on the ground here

evening all, had a long day but pleasant meal with friends tonight topped off with chocolate banoffee

tired so won't stay as I still have all the school stuff to do for tomorrow and DD1 seems much improved today so she'll be going

no snow here either but bloody cold!

oopsacoconut · 01/02/2009 22:44

We were discussing building things - he said tubes/circles I said triangles or our roof will collapse!

DH just brought DD down she is a little confused on the sleep front, she slept the whole way home, 2 hours including coffee stops, we left at 5.30 so she wasn't really tired when I put her down at 8.30 now is VERY awake and gave me the best heart melting smile when they came down the stairs. How can I be cross with him now? She is sitting on his lap talking to him and being generally sweet.

We are having to resort to Infacol again (does it work at this age?) DD is waking constantly in the night with bad wind which is obviously hurting as when she had farted or burped she is back to sleep but until she passes it I have to rub her tummy and shh her until it is over. Last night we had wakings every 20 minutes from 2.30 to 5.30 then she slept until 7.30 fed and slept until 9. She has increased my supply hugely by feeding frequently last week and now is struggling with the fast let down again. I guess as she get used to it it will get better.

Oops I found this out on the web:
"A triangle is stronger than a square. A circle has not joints and cannot
disperse a force, thus it is very weak."

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 01/02/2009 22:52

It went on to say, "Triangles are stronger then squares or circles. Triangles are best to build
with because they disperse weight more evenly than a square or circle." and "The base and the joints will be the strongest."

Now go tell your DH how smart you are.

TS sending you and your family much love and our Sympathies at the passing of your Grandmother. {{HUGS}} I know it comes as no surprise as you were expecting it but please look after yourself. xxxxxxx

TwilightSurfer · 02/02/2009 02:01

Thank you Oops.

I didn't mean to be dismal and run. Got the phone call while flipping back and forth here. Saying here helped me focus my emotions so I could make all the calls I had to make. I have a BIG family. Thankfully I recruited other callers along the way. Now just catching up with banking and laundry because I don't know when we'll need to leave town.

I had intended on sharing some dcs stories...
here goes......

Reese was a dream for Charles today during the day but is getting overly fussy the closer it gets to bed time. Basically between 5 and 8pm. Anybody else noticing an attitude dysfunction with their AugDC??

DD1, who will be 5 in 17 days, has been a NIGHTMARE all weekend long. I'm talking BACKTALK, IGNORING DIRECTIONS, PICKING FIGHTS, PITCHING FITS, JUST BEING AN ALL STAR PAIN. This is just a complaint...no phishing for reason....just needed to state the facts.

Now off to read the latest on Hot Mamas then maybe bed.

See ya'll tomorrow.

{{sets coffee maker for 7am}}

TS - sorry to hear about your grandmother's passing. The celebration of her life will be quite something I imagine though.

How did the christening go VG? We're booked in for the 15th now so I need to get organised.
I also have children to feed right now. Back later.

(finds mask down the back of the furniture and hands it back to mrTS)

rotterpotter · 02/02/2009 08:07

TS love and best wishes to you on the passing of your Grandmother. You know we are all thinking of you. And LOL at the 'outing' of your DH .

WE HAVE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not as much as some of you southerners but still a good 4 inches . Considering that we live in Yorkshire we usually miss it all so this is very exciting. Wellies on and snowman building today I think.

Hope everyone is safe and warm and has a lovely day

cyteen · 02/02/2009 08:30

Morning all

TS my very best wishes to you and yours. I hope your grandmother's passing brings all your family together to celebrate her and enjoy each other Rest in peace ElderSurfer.

rotter we have snow too, lots of it! And it's still snowing...DS and I have to go out later, he will be wearing every item of clothes he owns I think. Not going anywhere yet though, we are both snugged up in bed and he is sleeping next to me [melt] Better night last night, or at least I woke up feeling better, which doesn't really make any sense as it was just the same as usual in terms of wake-ups.

Steaknife · 02/02/2009 08:34

Morning all.

TS - sorry to hear about your gran. My thoughts are with you and your family.

We had a nice weekend. DH is learning the art of the diplomatic answer and yesterday looked after Iz in the morning and brought me breakfast in bed.

Today he blew it a bit as when I brought the wriggly baby into bed at ten to seven he swore, threw back the covers, switched on the light and said "it makes no difference for you, you have to get up anyway, but I could have had an extra hour in bed"
Which isn't true, if I had fed her in her room he would still have had to get up at 7.15. Ah well he really isn't at his best in the morning.

It does piss me off that he says things in a way which suggests that his time is more precious than mine. I usually just pretend it is a translation thing rather than an a**hole thing.

Well that's that out of my system. How are the rest of you today?
Trying to snow here and I expect it will succeed before long.
