no1 re highchair..i've got the ikea antilopp one and its fantastic! and for £10 you can buy it, try it and not worry if you hate it but it definitely ticks all the boxes you mentioned!
re pushchair
its not an umbrella fold but does fold pretty well (i can measure folded up in a minute for you) I'd say def suitable for a 2yr old. back folds down so its comletely flat and you can have even degree between flat and straight up. its really light which is one of the reasons we got it
As for colour, cress is the only one to go for

albs was indeed a lovely surprise! particularly useful given that i can't do anything to risk damaging them DP's about to clean the kitchen but i don't think he realises this yet!

Lol VG - Seb decided to type, and SOMEHOW managed to copy and past part of our menu for the week no idea how he managed it, but thought I might give you all something to puzzle over.

oopsacoconut · 31/01/2009 18:28

Ann - you have a menu??? It has confit duck on it???

oopsacoconut · 31/01/2009 18:31

Who was asking about the dishwasher? [lazy emoticon] Try adding3 tablespoons bicarb to the bottom of the dishwasher then run on hot - should dissolve any grease and clean out clogged pipes. You can also add a whole lemon onto the top shelf to make it smell fresh.

VG _ sorry to hear you and DS are poorly - watching rubbish telly and drinking hot tea is all you should be good for!

AnnVan · 31/01/2009 18:39

Oops we plan our meals for the week so we know what to buy. DP likes confit duck, although don't ask me when he'll get time to do it - it takes about five hours. (I also like confit duck, but not enough to spend five hours doing it)

alittlebitshy · 31/01/2009 18:49

i menu planned from when dd was about 2 unitl i got pg Trying to do it again now but kind of lose track sometimes and we end up with pasta, pesat ham and peas again.

Tonight am ignoring said menu plan and pizza hut take away it is!!!!

alittlebitshy · 31/01/2009 18:52

pesto i mean

alittlebitshy · 31/01/2009 18:53

I want a Luna too.

Think shopping is displacement therapy against feeling so shattered.

Think will go test drive a Luna then. Just dd is very long (everyone says she looks a good 3yrs)

Don't like umbrella fold anyway as I always seem to kick the bottom when I walk

I love the Ikea chair but dh insists on one that folds for storage. I have the Mamas &papas one at the minute which my dsis gave me and she paid stupid money for it.

ok ds in bed dd shouting, back soon......or not

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 31/01/2009 19:20

Need to sell this Quicksmart stroller first though.
Might sell my Silvercross too.
Think it will just go mouldy in the garage.

AnnVan · 31/01/2009 19:23

Well, we only menu plan right before dp goes off to the shop. We sit, think of a few meals, and he buys the stuff, so it's not as organised as it sounds. Still, if we don't do it, DP ends up buying LOADS of stuff, and half of it goes to waste.

sambo303 · 31/01/2009 19:40

I have menu planned for the second time in my life this week, feel like fecking domestic goddess . We had lentil moussaka tonight with jerusalem artichokes and fried spuds - like the sound of confit duck but 5 hours is a bit much!!

vg we will try the formula tonight to see if it helps ds sleep a bit longer. He's been sooo tired today as up all night, he slept from 3.30 to 6pm (after 2 other naps) - has a cold too . Thank you for your words of support on this as I am feeling a bit wobbly over it - ds will be 5 months on 4th Feb and I really did hope to make it to 6 months with EBM but we really will go mad if we dont get some sleep.

miamla thanks for asking about my knees - they look like they've gone 5 rounds with Mike Tyson

Miamla · 31/01/2009 19:42

sambo.. v interested to find out if formula=sleep!

Miamla · 31/01/2009 19:44

forgot to say... poor little DS hasn't pooed since last friday. he doesn't seem to be in any pain/discomfort but just wondered if anyone had any tips?

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 31/01/2009 19:53

Soory no tips miamla Ds usually goes a good week, then does 2/3/4 in one day. Always has.
You could try a bit of massage and moving legs up towards tummy.

sambo303 · 31/01/2009 20:07

miamla will report back on success or otherwise of the formula - part of me hopes it works, part of me hopes it doesnt iykwim

dp is running me a hot bath, then we will watch planet of the apes and eat chocolate

CaptainCaveman · 31/01/2009 20:29

Evening ladies, just passing through with a quick hello and a round of drinks....

Hope everyone is ok? Am watching the formula developments with interest (must try to get O drinking milk from cup/bottle).

Hoover went up in a cloud of smoke yesterday - as I was cleaning the house for todays viewing . It has now gone to Jesus. 2 positive house viewings today. Plus one new hoover later.....

dizzydixies · 31/01/2009 20:38

am totally lost [meep] need to try to work out how this works but not sure if tonight the night, am tired

AnnVan · 31/01/2009 20:40

Sambo the good thing about confit duck is that it keeps. SO you do a few duck legs, then put them in the fridge, and when you need a quick meal, pop a couple of legs in the oven to crisp up. Cook some veg to go with it and bob's your auntie.

Helloo Dizzy - are you home now?

VG - Good Luck with the Christening DS will, I am sure, be an absolute angel.

Miamla - CRAWLING DD has only just mastered the from to back roll.

CC - Pleased viewing went well - now they just need to come back with an offer - will keep praying that they do.

Sambo - hope the formula does it's magic and you get some sleep.

On the Highchair front we are getting a this eventually but will get a antilop for the initial weaning stage.
