Little man has started trying to sit up! he doesn't get VERY far, so it looks like he's doing tummy crunches Still it's exciting and a little sad.

awww longway that's lovely and I agree, that is how I feel. I have not stopped kissing him today.

Can I say, both dc's in bed fast asleep. Wonder how long it will last.
Both have drops of Lavender near by too.

Ann your little man is such an acrobat. I have never seen anything like it, and he absolutley loved it didn't he??

sazzles I am very tired today, In fact I was utterly exhausted after the meet up. Journey was fine, but think when I got back up here.I had an hour to wait for a train (10min Journey) Was freezing too.
I think I am still tired from that. I wanted to just crawl in bed but felt obliged to stay up with DH.
Might try for an early one tonight.

She has a horse one, but I always forget to fetch it down and microwave it

That is very good of her to leave your stuff alone. Bless.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/01/2009 18:58

The pushchair I ordered for the London meetup decided to turn up yesterday

I have just put it on for sales board, as it doesn't recline enough for me.
pissed off annoyed as I read somewhere that it had 3 position recline.

Checked the return policy and it says as the delivery was free, this price will be deducted off refund and I also pay the return postage fees.
dh not happy that I didn't check it out. He ordered the bloody thing. So going to be out of pocket either way.
Think I might be interested in a Luna.

alittlebitshy · 30/01/2009 19:01

Sazzles - love the selective trasing mb your dd.

LWFH I too favour those jumpers - but m and s do women's ones.. I have loads

ann my little man does that. been doing it for quite a while now but it's still so funny - his head pokes up and his legs ping up - like a weeble. I've tried to copy him but my stomach muscles are not up to it .

He won't stay in postion like vg and miamla's dses though. Think life will be easier when he can sit up and play.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/01/2009 19:03

Yes ALBS that's pretty much what Seb is doing, his head and shoulders come up a bit, and he stays like that for a bit before flopping back down.

Sazzles row row row your boat gets giggles from Seb every time he also likes the Grand old duke of york, and being tipped upside down Oh and giggles like mad when his daddy throws him up in the air.

Spoken to DP on phone. He's saying he's shattered yeah, would he have got through the day on 21/2 hours sleep? He's lovely mostly but he's such a selfish git when it comes to sleep.

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/01/2009 19:10

Well I am blubbering now, Just read the Melbourne story

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/01/2009 19:15

vg thats the thing with prams, you never really know what they are like till you have used them for a bit.

alittlebitshy · 30/01/2009 19:20

no1 i like the luna. miamla has one - i love the look of them.....

alittlebitshy · 30/01/2009 19:28

Just trying out the "new" MN layout rather than sticking with classic as i have for the last x years...

Sibh · 30/01/2009 19:29

DD2 loves the grand old duke of York too, Ann.

After missing the meetup I was wondering if everyone might give me some clue as to what their baby's character is like. DS and DD1 were already quite like themselves at this point, if that makes sense.

No1 what is the Melbourne story.
And in case I'm not on later, every best wish for the christening.

AnnVan · 30/01/2009 19:32

no1 what is the Melbourne story?

alittlebitshy · 30/01/2009 19:33

ditto - what is melbourne story?

Sausageandmash · 30/01/2009 19:33

Evening - whipping in to say - thanks VG, I have e-mailed you for the pic, and can't wait to see the chipolata at his first public luncheon!

Have just tried him on banana, which looked as though it were going spectacularly well (ok, he took some in, and didn't gag, I'm being thankful for small mercies!). Anyhoo, 10 minutes later it's decorating my top, so am hoping it's a blip not an allergy, which would be tres dull.

AnnVan sorry you and dp came to blows but glad that Seb is clearly being gorgeous and hopefully taking your mind of things. Now, if only he could master sleep, as opposed to trying out for the 2012 gymnastics...

Ataraxis, I'm wishing you a better night too - I think my dh must have got wind of the rumblings - he has placed a cold glass of wine in front of me and is cooking a thai green curry. Things couldn't be better ... except that the chipolata has just started up. bugger, this could be a long night. Anyhow, happy weekend everyone!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 30/01/2009 19:35

Don't quote me on the facts but in short a man has thrown his 4yr old dd off bridge 200ft into water. She was airlifted and worked on for a while but died of multiple injuries He did this infront of his other two dcs I think. Divorce case spite

AnnVan · 30/01/2009 19:37

sibh I think Seb is an adventurous little fella. He's nosy and curious, always has to be in on everything. He's generally quite chirpy, and as No1 said he's a bit of an acrobat, loves being upside down. He's lovely.

No1's Marcus has an adorable mohican with a kind of curly quiff at the front.
Sazzles's Emma is a lovely dainty little lady.
Albs's Henry is a BIG boy! Didn't see that much of him though.
DIdn't see much of Kurt either - I think he was asleep most of the time
Hopefully someone else will be a little more helpful, as I'm too tired to think straight at the moment. (no offense inteded to the ladies or babies that I haven't mentioned - it's the sleep deprivation)

Buckets · 30/01/2009 19:56

LOL yeah I had to borrow Sambo's baby to pose for photos.

Hugs to everyone with arseholey DPs at the mo.

Oh God No1, never ever watch the news!

Alieight Nightmare about SMP, they must have a responsibility to compensate for their cock-ups?

Ataraxis I think you need to sort out your leg fears and open up whole aisles of fashion possibilities . Get the opinion of a stylish lady you trust IRL - I bet they're absolutely fine. Also, Trinny & Susanna's first What Not To Wear book is full of great advice, have a look on Ebay.

7 Daily Sins: 4down, 3 to go! Apparently I am absolutely adorable when half asleep.

PetitFilou1 · 30/01/2009 19:58

sibh Yes you get points for only saying it once in 6 months

aleight With you on the - been there, done that, got the t-shirt (and won my case) What usually matters is what you have in writing. If you have a letter saying you are entitled to x y and z then it is likely you have a good case for your work to stick to what is written down (imo and in my experience too)

Everyone seems to be having a bad day today and it isn't even a full moon! In our house the worst I can manage is that the gas installer, who was supposed to come in the morning, turned up at 12.20pm to say he couldn't install our new hob until this afternoon (when I couldn't be here and which had been explained to him the previous day) ummm thanks for that. Well he lost the job as I found someone else - they were more expensive but I suspect will be reliable. The fecker didn't even say sorry. I didn't think people would be quite so lacksadaisical in today's climate.....

cyteen · 30/01/2009 20:06

Sibh I hope your theory is wrong or else everyone will think Joe is destined to be a total mardy arse Seb is indeed bright as a button, into everything and a cheery little fellow (with a good line in table-gumming). Captain Caveman's little O is just adorable with the most characterful face you can imagine. And no1's Marcus does indeed have the coolest hair!

Ann all best good wishes for you to resolve things with your DP...fwiw I'm glad you pointed out his double standard re. the losing of temper, hopefully it will have stuck in his mind and nagged at him despite his efforts to ignore it.

longway I heartily agree with your sentiments...Joe has been hard work indeed today, his teeth are really bugging him the poor love, but even though I feel like I've been trampled by elephants it all just melts away like ice cream when he snuggles up against me.

Forgive me Buckets for I have sinned
