Am I first? Couldn't think of what to call it....

VS - I think she is hungrier, yes, I tried giving more milk, which helped, but then yesterday she spurned more milk for more food (I guess she can't take both) and she did sleep better last night. Woke once at 5.30 for drink water and then 6.30 properly. She is never hungry for her breakfast til about 8 though - does anyone else have this? Should I stop giving a ten o clock feed?

I know what you mean LadyBee. About 5 mins ago the sneezing started and now my ears are starting to hurt. Think I'll have to open the wine this evening - for medicinal purposes only you understand If nothing else it'll help me sleep Sam must be OK though because the Guarderia haven't phoned, so at least that's something. It was really sad over the weekend watching him grimace every time he coughed because his throat hurt At least he only coughed a few times through the night & woke up quite bright.

Soph73 · 02/02/2009 15:58

Brrrrr! That looks chilly.

RobertPattinsonComeToMomma · 02/02/2009 16:29

light dusting of snow here this morning, blizzard promised tonight apparently!

Soph73 · 02/02/2009 16:46

Right, I'm off home to feel sorry for myself. See you tomorrow

EllieG · 02/02/2009 20:13

Well I've waited and waited and no one is here, so I am going to go and watch TV. Fine. Have your cosy family evenings then, just don't come crying to me when it all goes wrong and you want someone to talk to here, cos I'll be watching the West Wing. Bah.

I've had a look! They're gorgeous!!!

(never too late..)

SalLikesCoffee · 02/02/2009 23:06

Thanks!

Well, I had a glass of dessert wine and it was lovely.

Good night, unless impossible for me to get to work again, I'll see you all tomorrow evening.

RobertPattinsonComeToMomma · 02/02/2009 23:42

at wine

Lucky for me dh was at home today as we had a bit of a blizzard and it took me aaaaaages to get home! Dh collected the two little ones from nursery which was just as well as I would have been an hour late.

Btw Peachy we got a brochure from Sandyballs today. Dh very immature as he sniggered about the name when he phoned me at work and sniggered more at telling me it was in the New Forest! Worse than an eight year old!

LadyBee · 03/02/2009 08:35

poo, trains are running. Although very reduced...maybe they'll be so crowded I won't get on

Oh well...best get out the door then.

See you all tomorrow.

p.s. cat was found. He appeared upstairs at about 6pm, yawned, stretched and demanded his dinner. This after I had cried for sad, cold, lost cat in snow. He is pushing his luck that one.

Soph73 · 03/02/2009 08:57

Morning all. Am feeling very sorry for myself today as cold has come out with a vengeance

Sal - great piccies LO is the spitting image of you

LadyBee - they just don't care do they cats? Sorry to hear you're at work today.

Ellie - are you talking to any of us yet? I'm obviously blameless cos I don't have a computer at home

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 10:08

Everyone off here, school and nursery shut for snow, even though there isnt loads

DH got his van stuck and has had to walk 1.5 miles in the snow to work the poor git they will give him snow chains though i think. Wotks in middle of nowhere at mo.....bit worried really.

And today is meant to be my child day off. hmmpphh. and i got everyone up ready out by 830.

VictorianSqualor · 03/02/2009 10:41

Lol Scorpio. I agreed to a sleepover last ngiht didn't I, thinking there was no school or work for J.
Get up this morning. School AND work so I ahd to get four kids ready instead of three, and sort his stuff out. Plus I discovered all DDs tights ahd holes in

KnitterInTheNW · 03/02/2009 10:46

We didn't have a lot of snow yesterday, and it's all gone this morning. George thought it was very funny yesterday getting into the car and the windows being all white! He also had a little disgusted prod at some snow on a wall, with a 'what the heck is that' look on his face. He was also completely fascinated with the snow swirling around outside. Very cute!

I can't believe our babies are on their way to being One. I'm organising my NCT group's joint 1st bithday party for the end of March (1st baby in the group was born on Feb 27th, the last on April 29th so the party's in the middle.) We'll be all partied out by the end of March, George's bday (and party) is Mrch 21st and the NCT one the weekend after. Where did my baby go? Well actually right now he's across the floor from me, eating a stolen biscuit having crawled out of his trousers and missing a sock...

The doc gave us some canesten cream with hydrocortisone in for his ezcema last week, and said that if that hasn't worked by next week, to go back and she'll refer him to a skin specialist. It seems to be a lot better already though.

George had an appt with the optometrist last week, he was referred after his 7-9 month check because I wore glasses from age 6. Also out of DH's immediate family and mine, there's only DH who isn't short sighted. Apparently he'll be called back wjen he's a bit over 18 months so they can put drops in his eyes and test to see if he needs glasses or not. Do any of you have experience of that? What's it like?

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 10:52

i know Knitter, DH & I were saying exactly the same, mourning our little tiny girl iyswim. Sorry i haven't had any experience of either eczema or glasses in children/babies, but i do hope it goes wel lfor you and that his cream works well.

VS - at least you have dumped taken yours to school! I am here with all of them on my only day off. hmmphh.

Am not bitter, honest.

VictorianSqualor · 03/02/2009 11:03

Panda has suddenly come up in loads of eczema, all over his back and he scratches it til it bleeds so can only wear full babygros atm.

VictorianSqualor · 03/02/2009 11:11

AND I had not just mine but two others on the closest thing I get to a day off!

KnitterInTheNW · 03/02/2009 11:29

What are you putting on it, VS? Poor little man.

Soph73 · 03/02/2009 11:33

Bugger, bugger, bugger! DH has just told me that the school has already had 27 applications for the Head of Secondary. Bugger, bugger, bugger!!

Knitter - just to say good luck as I haven't had any experience in either, sorry.

KnitterInTheNW · 03/02/2009 11:35

Ah, they may have had 27 applications Soph, but they know your DH already don't they?

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 11:36

Soph - your DH is in house already, and plus someone has to win!

KnitterInTheNW · 03/02/2009 11:37

I've got everything crossed that he won't need glasses. Not because of how he'll look, if he needs them he needs them. But how on earth would you get a toddler to keep glasses on????

ScorpiowithabigS · 03/02/2009 11:38

i htink some have a band you put across the back of their head iyswim? plus they must get used to them being there?

Soph73 · 03/02/2009 11:41

Yes, that's true, it's just that the panic is starting to set in now

There's a little boy at the hospital that wears glasses and he has a band that goes round his head to keep them on. One of DS1's friends also wears glasses &, like you said Knitter, she's always worn them so doesn't even realise they're there. Sometimes you have to catch her before she dives into the swimming pool to remind her to take them off I always think little ones in glasses look very cute
