re meet-up 12 is certainly fine by me. maybe earlier, think it will take 2.5hrs and we could have left by 8.30 this morning so 11 is possible.

thinking of going on to friends in staffs for the night (if they are free), maybe even alton towers on the sunday! then home.
that would mean dh & ds1 come to, though have told dh he can take the afternoon off rather than meet lots mums, lol.

so, have added new pics - please ignore the clothes ones - unless you have tips for the wedding i'm going to on sat that i've been asking for help on!
(think i will have to try monsoon in london on sat morning to try the dresses i prefer)

simpson · 19/01/2009 15:07

Lucky - the train I am on his due to arrive at 11.30 ish so once I get to Coventry will walk to meeting place (can't remember name )

JKS - glad you are coming!!

MrsMcJnr · 19/01/2009 15:15

LaT ? thank goodness you are getting a change of scene soon, I think you all need and deserve it! Xavier has taken to kissing again too having forgotten, strange isn?t it? Does your DH speak to Sabela in Spanish? It is really strange, Xavier seems to know when people are speaking in Spanish as opposed to English and really doesn?t like it if I speak to him in Spanish when I am having a Spanish conversation with someone else. It?s funny. He has a Pooh bear who speaks Spanish phrases and he is very vary of him! I really want him to be bi-lingual and I am sure nursery and school will really help there.

Lucky ? what a great eater Aaliyah! good luck TTC no2! I think you are right, depending on the kind of wedding you want, you might be better having another baby now whilst you are saving, after all, you have all that you need for another one and are still in the ?zone? on the time taken to TTC, it took me 9 months with my lost Angel, then 10 weeks after that for Xavier and as you know, I didn?t have a period, only ovulated once for this one so you just never, never know!

Simpson ? breakfast like a king hey glad the vetch toy arrived

JKS ? hope you have a good day love the pics, such cuties really nice dress too

Gingeme ? if DS sees a step he has to climb it but hasn?t realised he could climb furniture yet.

Housemum ? I?ve been trying to do that FLY lady thing, I am useless, shined the sink a million times! Let me know what you don?t sell at NCT, I might be in the market for some pink things!

MUST now start the cooking for Xavier?s party on Sat! My Mum keeps offering to buy things from various places when I tell her I am making X or Y, she just doesn?t get that I want to bake (well, learn to anyway!) my parcel of party goodies isn?t here yet, hopefully it?ll arrive very soon! I ordered this T-shirt for Xavier, thought it was very cute! www.partypieces.co.uk/product/dressing+up+and+party+clothes_party+clothes_t-shirts+and+skirts/4801.h tm

Meant to say, think I am set on getting the First Wheels City Elite twin. Anyone know of any or have any comments? thanks

simpson · 19/01/2009 17:52

DD has had me in absolute fits of laughter today.

She now says "Uh oh" when she drops something and after bath just now DS said to her "DD did you do that?" (think his PJs fell down or something)and now DD keeps saying "Do dat" all the time.

She is in front room with DS and she is still saying it

JustKeepSwimming · 19/01/2009 17:59

MrsMc - love that top
i love the dress but it's causing headaches as i can't find something to keep me warm! i am NOT a natural shopper!

Simpson - LOL that's funny!

It took nearly a year to get pg with ds1 (with help from Metformin) then got pg with DS2 by accident so no time at all, lol

mixedmamameansbusiness · 19/01/2009 18:51

Hi ladies...

Simpson - pls remind me of your train times and I will book now.

JKS - I love the dress, can u not pick up a pashmina (is that warm enough)??

Rainforest cafe pennies worth is that i used to go clubbing there but that is another story.... i have eaten there once and we saw a dead mouse on the floor under a childrens bday party and they didnt even aspologise or give us a discount or anything... having said that i still looked at it for DS1 bday... madness.

TGI in Covent Garden is great as it is less frantic than Leicester Sq and there is Planet Hollywood in Leicester Square and a nice pizza express on the Strand.

simpson · 19/01/2009 19:03

Mixed mama -train times: from Euston leaving 9.46 arrive Coventry 11.28

Return leave Coventry 16.01 arrive Euston 17.49

Let me know how you get on

Lilyloo · 19/01/2009 20:45

I can do 12 but doubt i can get all 3 of them ready and 2 hour drive for 11 (sorry) but you can all meet and i will catch up after.

Hoping MM is going to do parking recky for us JKS.

Suppose i better find some pics of me then

madmouse · 19/01/2009 20:57

I wil Lily don't worry

Discovered that purple planet raises funds for the Tiny Tim children's centre which is in the same building. They offer free therapies for children with special needs. I just booked Nathan for his first special neuromuscular massage next Tuesday so I will check out parking then.

Mixedmama make sure you find London Midland services, Virgin costs the planet. Simpson booked for £5 each way plus a booking fee I think.

Plan is that I will take the bus to Coventry and be at the station in time to collect the London lot from the train. I can meet people outside purple planet if they come earlier. Will put a mumsnet sign on the pushchair, although of course you will all spot my beautiful prodigy straight away grin.

Well, DB is staying until the day before we leave I think. It just got to the point where he was desperately looking for somewhere to go and it was just undoing any good we had done. So.

You probably all think I'm a mug and so do I but it seems the best thing in the situation.

Sabela is walking holding onto only one hand now. She didn't have the courage to do it yesterday but today she did!

We also had her first accident today and it was my fault. We were waiting to get her vaccinations at the GP, which has a flagstone floor. I sat her on a little baby chair, took my eye off her for a sec to get a book, and she was on the floor. She'd gone for a little truck on the other bench. She cut her lip and banged her head.

It actually doesn't seem to bother her. But by the time she'd stopped crying - only a minute or so - it was time to go in for her jabs. Poor mite.

I felt AWFUL!

She has been a very happy girl all afternoon though despite this, a cold and teething .

Lilyloo · 19/01/2009 21:11

LaT not a mug at all just a very devoted sister.
Poor Sabela , accidents happen don't beat yourself up about it!

Thanks MM lot's of very good simple directions as ds will be guiding me

Oh also forgot to say , the vteh phone we got M for xmas which we lost when we went away for new year, mil got one from charity shop for 25p and gave it her yesterday She loves it holds it to her ear!!

Also she is loving dd1 elc kitchen at the moment so worth getting as s will even play with it from time to time so def moneys worth!

LaTrucha · 19/01/2009 21:12

By the way, I'm STILL sorry I'm not doing proper catch ups. I will try because even though I read I feel like I'm not really 'talking' to you properly.

BTW, is anyone else's LO really squawky ATM? My friend said that she found this the most difficult age, because they're a bit bored with 'baby' toys but not really old enough to walk off and find what they want to play with. Many times ATM with Sabela she squawks for something, I get it, she drops it, she squawks for the next thing ad nauseam.

I also find it more difficult to work out what she wants. For eg. she likes all the things we do on my bed (nappy change, bf, nap etc) but when I now put her down on my bed she cries until I start doing one of them. I don't really undersatnd why she is upset.

on. and the envy was for the meet up.

Don;t get me wrong. She is still lovely!

Lilyloo · 19/01/2009 21:13

I am happy to put my email on here if someone will mail me their mobile and then i can ring if i having any probs
[email protected]

madmouse · 19/01/2009 21:22

Lily, emailed you

LaT stop saying silly things, we have mostly know each other for over a year now, just be yourself.

I too think you are a fab sister. Better than I, I kicked my bro out of my life for a while when Nathan was ill and he wrote selfish letters about all the stupid stunts he got up too.

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 19/01/2009 21:27

Simpson ? your DD has great vocab, DS says something that sounds like ?dat, dat? all the time but I have no idea what it means

JKS ? have you tried www.mypashmina.co.uk/? I have a couple of gorgeous, very cosy pashminas from there and they do really quick deliveries!

LaT ? poor Sabela and you, I bet you felt sick. Can understand why you wouldn?t want to see your brother out on his ear hon x

simpson · 19/01/2009 21:28

LaT - not a mug at all!! Exactly what Lilyloo says. You want the best for him and don't want him unravelling if he leaves now.

I know what you mean about the not being a baby but not being a toddler too but have to say I am lucky as DS normally comes to the rescue and their favourite game is chasing each other round the house although DD is not exactly speedy on the crawling front yet

Lilyloo - am happy to email you my mobile no. if you want it.

Madmouse - great news on Nathan's massage on tuesday. Would it become a regular thing?

Mixed mama - Any luck with tickets?

LaTrucha · 19/01/2009 21:45

Thanks guys. Trouble is I am NOT devoted. We're not close at all and I have lots of problems with him! Just trying to keep myself to myself. There just didn;t seem to be anything else humane to do.

simpson · 19/01/2009 21:53

LaT - but you and your DH have welcomed him into your home...

You may not be close but you are helping him...

Must be tough on you and your DH.

Will he stay in your house while you are away or will he go home?

Lilyloo · 19/01/2009 21:57
