AngeChica · 13/01/2009 22:04

You've been v busy on here!

hope Ediz had a lovely birthday mixedmama

more later in week.

LuckySalem · 13/01/2009 22:05

MrsMc - I'm so sorry, I thought you might have in Spain as well. Spain doesn't really have much does it?

MM - I just typed in soft play birmingham, If you want to change it I dont mind.
Also if you like and A and K come, If you two dont mind watching aaliyah I can ferry people as i'll have 2 car seats in the car?(hopefully) Don't know if that helps.
However, if I can't get a 2nd carseat from freecycle before then it'll either just be me and DD or all 4 of us will be getting the train.
Haven't told DP yet

Simps - Poor DD, Why is that do you think? bad dream?

simpson · 13/01/2009 22:10

Lucky - she alright now

She woke up and downed half a tommy tippee cup of water and seems fine now

Do you think i should go ahead a book train ticket for 28th then?

LuckySalem · 13/01/2009 22:14

I would simp cos even if A doesn't come and NO-ONE ELSE does I'll come and meet the both of you

simpson · 13/01/2009 22:16

LOL

Will look at booking tomorrow then.

Have left purse in bedroom and DH is sleeping (I am downstairs tonight)as he has to be up at 3am...

Is it easy to book train tickets online?

LuckySalem · 13/01/2009 22:20

I've never done it myself but if its like anything else i've ever done online should be pretty straight forward

I can't wait now, looks like we may get a few people coming too which will be nice.

Just posted an ad on freecycle to either be given/lent a stage 2 carseat for that day as both of A's carseats (friend not DD) are fitted and she doesn't want to take them out so it will only be needed for that day then I can probably either give it her to use when she uses other peoples cars or put it back on freecycle.

Would be nice for Nathan and K to meet and would prob do A the world of good to meet MM as both Nathan and K have CP - Although if she does come try not to say anything as I think it's still abit raw for her. IYKWIM.

Anyways..... oh what'll I wear? What'll DD wear? If she's walking I think a dress but if not trousers cos she can't crawl in dresses lol

simpson · 13/01/2009 22:24

How old is your friend's LO?

Is this the boy who has been ill recently?

Do you know I was telling asking DH if i should get something new to wear for it!!

LuckySalem · 13/01/2009 22:27

Yeh that's the same one. I think he's about 15 months now (I never remember exactly) let me work it out hmmmm..... oh 16months.

madmouse · 14/01/2009 09:08

Lucky car seat from freecycle is not safe!

LaTrucha · 14/01/2009 09:39

MrsMC - I may be making a trip to Andalucia as I have friends in Cordoba and Seville. It's still a possibility?

simpson · 14/01/2009 09:44

Lucky - after i went to bed last night I was up for 2 hours with DD and one of the random things I was thinking about at 1am ish was the same as what Madmouse said. 2nd hand car seats aren't safe. You don't know if has been in an accident or not...

DD very whingey today. She has got runny nose etc so probably not well....

mixedmamameansbusiness · 14/01/2009 09:47

Simpson - if you are booking let me know the details as I will get mine booked.

Soft play sounds good. Madmouse I dont mind walking from the station closer to you if we end up sticking with that even if it is a long walk as i am trying to lose weight and fit in walking.

LaTrucha · 14/01/2009 09:50

Phew my brother has gone to the GP. My house to myself for a whole 45 minutes!

IT's really a strain him being here now. We've a really small house and he just sits on the sofa listening to music or a film all day. I can't really do anythig I usually do.

JustKeepSwimming · 14/01/2009 09:57

Oh LaT - that's not on for you what's the plan going forward?

Still on as a possible for the meetup - i could stay in london the night before and travel up with everyone else on the train.
Or trying to see if I could combine it with a family weekend to see friends....

Some idiot crashed into the tree in front of the house 2 doors down. An old lady lives there whose husband died late last year and he always campaigned/looked after the trees on the pavement. they also broke her gate.
Have a weird feeling that i heard something that may have been the bang in the night but i 'hear' so much and wake up for random things that i can't be sure.
Anyway, i tidied it all up so people can walk by but need to go and sweep up the mud later i think.
for her and the tree, as i know the tree dying will upset her all over again.

simpson · 14/01/2009 09:58

LaT - I feel for you, it must be really tough.

Mixed mama - Are you going to try and get same train as me?

Madmouse - Am I best to get train to Coventry or that other smaller station I can't remember?

DD'd poos are getting worse again Bum very raw. Is it possible to be allergic to oat milk?

mixedmamameansbusiness · 14/01/2009 10:05

Yes simpson if i can

simpson · 14/01/2009 10:08

Mixed mama - Oh goodie Will try and book it tonight once DCs are in bed...and will let you know

Gingeme · 14/01/2009 10:29

Morning ladies.
I don't think I will be making the meet up a bit far plus DH will be working. Maybe a London meet a bit before?
My friend is in labour with her 4th dc now! She is due today too and she started at 6.30am
Had a bit better night last night with George. He woke at 2.30 had a bottle. Took a bit of time to settle back but did eventualy and slept till 7ish. Had a feel in his mouth and can feel a lump top right hand side. So might be teething again!
Taking ds3 to the dentist this afternoon for his check up. Gonna ask him to look at my absess. It hasn't settled with the anti biotics so think it will have to be pulled
Well ds4 at playgroup and ds3 at school so better get the floor mopped and get some more washing on.
Have a good day all xx

simpson · 14/01/2009 10:33

JKS - that so sad about the tree

Will be getting the train from Euston...will let you know when I have booked and maybe we can meet up with Mixed mama and come together?...

Lilyloo · 14/01/2009 11:27

So we on for 28th then ??

Soft play prob easier to find any tips on parking in Coventry much appreciated then MM!

I am hoping with no stops it will be just over couple of hours but need to make allowances for me getting lost so likely to be around lunch time when i get there!

DD birthday yesterday all hectic and more pressies. On the plus note i can leave up balloons and decs for M on Sunday.
Think we may have to move out though to make room for toys

Lilyloo · 14/01/2009 11:34

What a shame some of you can't do it, is quite a long way but would be nice for a one off!

Ginge i am bringing all my lo's. Could you not come on train with others ?

LaT , MrsMc have to say you are miles away maybe you could meet and we could mnet you both , virtual meet up!!

Ange you only as far as me !!!!!!!!!!

JustKeepSwimming · 14/01/2009 11:34

LOL Lily

Have rung the Council and they said they would come and tidy up the tree mess & should be no prob to plant another.

Looked out of window just now and the man was there tidying up

Blimey!

Lilyloo · 14/01/2009 11:38

Wow JKS !! You are obviously quite persuasive

Gingeme · 14/01/2009 13:46

Wouldn't want to risk not fetting back in time to get ds3 from school.
Wow that was quick JKS
