Awen - LOL about not having time for a poo I sooo know what you mean!!

Me and DH have been out twice I think since we had DD

simpson · 12/01/2009 23:34

I loooove Oxford.

My Grandmother (89 and rather minted) took me out for a meal in the Randolph Hotel a few weeks ago.

We both got quite plastered and the bill came to over £200 for just the 2 of us

MamaMaiasaura · 12/01/2009 23:38

HM oo i forgot you were local I might well have to pop to west quay soon.
LOL lucky - will have to leg it dp just got home and i need bed but will do quick round up.

He started walking on 15 Dec and is trying to run.. (oh dear, lots of bumps), he has 9 teeth, still bfed and is doing well with solids and very independent. He shreiks with excitement if he thinks i am going to chase him and ignores the word NO as much as possible. He adores his big brother and the feeling is mutual. He knows a fair few words and has many words of his own for things, mainly things like birdie, mama, dada, brubber (brother) and with milk it is mama baba and hands stuffed down there! lol. He often ends up in my bed and doesnt sleep through all the time (well any at the moment). He is funny and laughs when i do which is so cute. He also loves doing 'cheers' with his beaker and anyone with a cup - learnt from christmas.. opps. He also wants whatever we have in terms of food and drink...

MamaMaiasaura · 12/01/2009 23:40

gotta go to bed now. Will try and pop back tomorrow (honest) Though bet there will be a huge amount of posts

LuckySalem · 12/01/2009 23:43

Aawww awen thats lovely. DD does that squealy and run away thing if you tell her "you're coming" quite funny as she will normally then come after you if you say "ali coming" and bop me on the head!!

can't believe walking & running!! I think that would make him the first of the Jan lot then? - Or was George or Alek earlier?

DD still no teeth here! lol. She's still gummy and gorgeous!

Speak to you soon then....

EVERYONE - I'm going to bed. I've put 28th in my diary (be aware I will bring camera and post pictures on FB ) lol

simpson · 12/01/2009 23:48

Lucky - will be bringing my camera too and still gummy here

Have to confess "gummy" is Ds's nickname as he got his first tooth at 14mths he still gets called it now sometimes!!

LuckySalem · 12/01/2009 23:49

LMAO Simp - I got called gappy when I was about 10 cos I'd lost my 2 front teeth so I took my dog and ran away from home police found me, brought me home (with me telling him all about mean mummy) then he told mum off Apparently he winked at her though which I didn't know about.

JustKeepSwimming · 13/01/2009 07:37

don't worry madmouse

i will see, haven't checked diary yet, will see what dh is up to and whether he could have ds1 or not.

driving says 2.5hrs, not sure trains would be a good idea as into london, tube & out again....

Awen - hey another ttc-er, good luck!
(didn't realise ou had fertility treatment, so even more good luck wishes your way.)

right, breakfast, must get moving, back later

simpson · 13/01/2009 12:05

Woo hoo a meet up!!

As soon as date deffo confirmed then will book train ticket

Might ask my mum to have DS overnight....

DD's charm still hasn't arrived but the company have said they will send out another one if need be.

Also am finally getting round to sending DD's faulty V Tech toy back as if you send it to H/O they will send another Hopefully it will arrive before her birthday which would be good!!

Looked at what I have bought DD for her birthday today and it is basically nothing Feel a bit guilty TBH as DS had too much loads of stuff. PBF I guess...

Going to try and get her something else today and I want DH to pick up a little plastic chair for her (DS has one)which will be sweet for when she is a bit bigger and they can do drawing together etc.

Gingeme · 13/01/2009 12:16

Afternoon ladies.
Welcome back Awen Oh my your lo walking already
Simpson we have 2 plastic chairs and George climbs into them already and scares the life out of me because I think hes gong to fall, he just laughs at me
Had a bad night with George. He was awake from 2.30-4.30 singing, crying, shouting, chatting generaly being a pain in the bum. Dh ended up taking him in the front room where he fell asleep in about 5 mins on DH's tummy Didn't sleep any extra this morning so were all feeling a little worse for wear today.
Where is the meet up? Never heard of the place?
Well time for some lunch. See you all later xx

madmouse · 13/01/2009 13:33

oh ginge, just because it is not in London you've never heard of it

It is in Warwickshire, near Coventry. Chosen not because of the beauty of the place (although we have nice country side) but the fact that it is fairly central and near the M6

Just come will ya

mixedmama · 13/01/2009 14:56

Ok I havent read everything but if the tickets are reasonably priced then will be happy to travel.. Simpson I live near Euston so we could travel together. I will prob bring both so we could watch each others whilst we do the loo and stuff????

Lucky - of course i dont think you stole my idea

Would be great if we could get the whole thread together.

MrsMcJnr · 13/01/2009 16:53

Wow! You?ve all been chatting, 5 pages to catch up on and I only signed off when I went to bed last night!!

Lily ? I bet I beat you on being miles away from everyone else

Madmouse ? what is it with those Petit Filous, every baby I know loves them. Like you, the small ones just whet DS?s appetite for more! I gave him a stuffed potato skin with the insides mashed with butter, milk, cheese, tomato, cauliflower and broccoli, last night and he loved it he didn?t eat the skin ? that was just aesthetic!

Enjoy the meet up would love to come!

Simpson ? LOL I think LaT is going to be quite far from me (aren?t you LaT?) though I would have loved to have met her and Sabela I don?t have much for DS?s birthday either, I think it?s the time of year to be honest.

Hey Awen how are you??? Lovely to hear about your DS the first walker I think! All the best with TTC.

Lucky ? are you teasing me?! I do know about it but am not entitled to that, nor the grant of 2500 euros you are meant to get here is Spain because I haven?t been paying tax here long enough

Gingeme ? hope you have a better night tonight.

LaTrucha · 13/01/2009 16:57

BUM - I will be in Spain.

[massive huff emoticon]

....Shuffles over to MrsMc.... How about it? Whereabouts are you again? I'd be willing to travel as you'll be two eyes peering over a bump again soon won't you?

Ps. MM - I have to do that spoon pushiung thing with Sabela too sometimes - though I'd be too in public as it does look bad.

simpson · 13/01/2009 18:57

Hi all

LaT - have you started packing yet?

Nothing much to report here boring day really

Did a food shop while DS was at school.

DD been a little star beaming at everyone she sees

All DS's teachers love her!!

Whose birthday is next?

LaTrucha · 13/01/2009 19:20

I've started thinking about packing. It's a bit difficult with DB around.

So nice to hear how happy your DD is now!

Next birthday

LaTrucha - DD 1st Jan (Sabela) 1
Housemum - DD 3 Jan (Amelie) 1
Gingeme - DS 10 Jan (George) 1
Mixedmama - DS 11 Jan (Ediz) Happy Birthday!
Kelix DD 15th Jan (name?)
LuckySalem DD 16th Jan (Aaliyah)
Lilyloo DD 18th Jan (Martha)
JKS DS2 21st Jan (Henry)
Nicky DD 23rd Jan (Charlie)
MrsMcJnr DS 24th Jan (Xavier)
Bluebell82 - DD (Ruby)
Filly DD 29th Jan (Tamara)
Simpson DD 29th Jan (Molly)
Angechica DS 29th Jan (Alek)
Madmouse DS 1st Feb (Nathan)

Kelix - I wonder if she'll pu tin an appearance?

And where on EARTH is Filly?

madmouse · 13/01/2009 20:45

LaT when are you leaving and how long are you going for? Such a shame not to see you

JKS looked at your diary yet?

Looks like more people than just Simpson coming by train. Bit worried about getting people from Coventry to Bedworth. I can only ferry one mum and cild at a time and have no appropriate car seat for older children. Trains and busses from cov to bedworth are just going to add journey time and frustration.

If more people come by train I propose decamping to the Purple Planet, which is a fab soft play area in the centre of Coventry, easy walk from the station.

Lucky the soft play you found in Birmingham is actually not very central and would take again busses/connecting trains.

nicky6 · 13/01/2009 20:46

still gummy here but i think teeth are on their way.

28th feb in coventry, will have a look check diary and see if possible for us.

all good bit knackered as dh working away me working, and pregnant and charlie with poorly teeth.

anyway must go as want to watch 24 from yesterday

simpson · 13/01/2009 21:03

Madmouse - sounds a good idea

Grrr looks like dreaded MIL is coming over for a visit. She wants to come over for DD's party which is on 25th Jan.

Oh well shouldn't complain as its the first time she has shown any interest in her

MrsMcJnr · 13/01/2009 21:39

LaT ? I?m way down South in Malaga province of Andalucia, near Marbella. Am I remembering correctly that you are in the Valencia area? I?m gutted because my cousin gets married near Zaragoza on 23/5 but Dr has banned me from going as the actual place is a very remote parador and it would take us 10 hours min to drive each way. He thinks it is just asking for trouble a week away from my due date (though I bet I am still sitting waiting for my little Miss to arrive after the 1st week in June?)

Simpson ? I wonder what has made MIL have a change of heart?
