FestiveGardenia · 25/12/2008 10:01

Merry Christmas to all of you and your lovely babies and families. xxx from all Gardenias xxx.

You've all been superb this year, can you imagine last year we didn't have the babies? How dull things must have been! Won't be back on later, most likely, so have a lovely day all of you (no I haven't been at the Christmas cocktails already...) hic

FestiveGardenia · 25/12/2008 10:02

LOL @ ann!!

NoroomattheCaveman · 25/12/2008 11:24

Happy Birthday Jesus! hope you are all enjoying your Christmases wherever you are!

It's all gone a bit Eastenders here - dsis' ex-p turned up at her house and shoved her over, then tried to kidnap my dneice! Dsis called the police so he left but took all dneice's presents with him So dh has been over to fetch them round to ours -still in their pjs!

Otherwise its a lovely day!

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 25/12/2008 13:27

OMG Captain. The holiday's do tend to bring out the DRAMA in people. {{{Hugs}}} to you and them.

Merry Christmas EVERYONE. I have officially been up 26 minutes. So far only singing Barbies are of interest. I will be requiring iPod therapy later this afternoon, i believe.

NoroomattheCaveman · 25/12/2008 15:57

ahhh, 5 mins peace whilst the rest of the family play bowling on the Wii

Lovely lamb dinner cooked by dh, yum yum, I am lucky to be married to such a fab cook!

We have arrived at insanity central though, what with a hyperactive 6yr old, a hyperactive 4 yr old, dh and my dad merry on the red wine, sis tipsy and me & mum sober. Still it is jolly lovely to have everyone together

hello ts
Back to rl.....

oopsIstuffedaturkey · 25/12/2008 21:30

Hiding pretending to feed!

We have had an amazing day just the 3 of us. (in laws ran very late so only got here at 7.30pm!) DD loves her bumbo and helped me make christmas dinner, shouting instructions from her seat! She has been VERY spoilt as have I. But DH and I discussed it and decided that we would rather have nothing material and our DD rather than loads of things not have her little giggles wake us up in the morning!

I hpe you have all had a day as amazing as ours.

Thank you all for being great 'friends' and this time next year we will all be here thinking back to a christmas of non mobile babies whilst they run havoc with the christmas tree, presents and bits of dinner!

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 26/12/2008 00:32

Oops your day sounds lovely.

I would like to proclaim myself a f cooking genius. I flew by the seat of my pants (because I couldn't decide on any sort of menu) and threw together the most incredible Christmas dinner EVER!!! And to add glory to the story, DH made the bread with his brand new bread machine and it was TOO DIE FOR. DD1 created the dessert so I can say our meal was ALL ABOUT FAMILY. Reese, like Poppy, enjoyed her Bumbo front row seat to all the culinary action.

Now I'm very tired and DD1 is really worn out so it's off to bed like Reese who is sound asleep in my arms.

Good Night

no1putsantaupthechimney · 26/12/2008 08:31

Good morning everyone.
Hope you all had a wonderful day, and santa brought everything you all dreamed of.
Sazzles I hope your dd1 is feeling ok poor little one.

ann lol, hope you have recovered and seb too.

cc hope everything has settled and your dsis and dniece managed to have a good day.

I would also like to say thank you to you all. The support is truly amazing on here, and the words of encouragement when things have been hard tense.

[leaves strong black coffee, paracetamol and water on the table for those that need them.....]

NoroomattheCaveman · 26/12/2008 11:01

Good morning one and all - nipped on here for 5 mins now that dh has finally got up . Lazy sod. Ds1 been awake since 5am as have I

This morning I have played Wall-e on the Wii, assembled a playmobil pirate ship, fed ds2 and played with him, then put him to sleep, played pirates with ds1, assembled a 'piano' (ELC variety) and now I'm knackered and dh wants to go sales shopping!

Hope your days have started much later than mine!

no1putsantaupthechimney · 26/12/2008 11:33

cc you have a dh that wants to do shopping in the sales

I cant motivate motivate to do anything today. Dh went to work at 6.30am wont be home while 8.30pm.
Just hung a load of nappies on the line as the sun is bright today.
Dog been sick about 3 times today (too many treats yesterday methinks ) sorry for tmi.

Just on the phone to my dad as I type [rude emoticon]
think will go down to see them, can I hear my little dbro and dsis in background on their new wii fit.

Hope you all have another lovely day, and hope all dc's are feeling better oh and sleeping

BucketsofReindeerPoo · 26/12/2008 12:53

Hi y'all
OMG Thank you Longway for the teatowel-on-head reminder, have used it 3 times now with instant sleeping baby results!

Had lovely day yesterday with huge meal at my mum's, plenty of drink for me and an evening's uke practice. DH still feeling a bit tired/low today, going to make the famous hummingbird cupcakes to cheer him up.

CC, hope your DSis is holding it together in the panic. Does she have an AA gang?

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 26/12/2008 13:01

Okay all the bliss ended with Reese having an HOUR long crying fit. There was no obvious reason for it but I suspect it's tummy related. We'll probably never know but I'm tempted to take her to her doctor today to see if there's any way she can palpate her GI tract or x-ray it to make sure Reese isn't "backed up".

That should be fun. DD1 would be with me. Even funner. Could give the doc the chance to give dd1 her yearly shots.

Oh and MIL is scheduled to return to hang out. YEAH! She gave dd1 a Sponge Bob Operation game. I'm keeping my mouth shut but thought it a bit of an insult after her comment to me that I was going to CAUSE my cs and the she later went on to say that all women should schedule birth via cs so there children will have bigger brains and therfore be smarter.

Can ya'll feel my joy today?

FestiveGardenia · 26/12/2008 13:03

Off for head-clearing dogwalk.

DS slept poorly but DP got up early and cleared up all the gubbins from yesterday so I have no excuse really to be so fuzzy-headed. However bit of oxygen def required.

CC your dsis is ok today?

Re. other threads on mn at moment, googling, personal info, all that, do you think the time has come for us to drop our stats list? I mean with where you are from and baby name and everything... over here, anyway, it wouldn't take a genius to spot me, the real me I mean. Or am I the only one bothered?

TwilightSurferChristmasAngel · 26/12/2008 13:03

and the hunt is on....
guns are going off every where on the lake's edge.
duck season?

joy joy joy
