Here we are, finally made it to another thread.

Congratulations Sponge, that's exciting! How do you feel? Rotten?

Auntgriselda, Hasan is feeding loads! Usually wakes at 5.30 for leisurely breakfast, then mid morning snack, afters for lunch, mid afternoon snack, afters for tea, supper, evening snack, midnight snack. Ooh he's a so and so.

When I tried to cut him down he became more demanding at night He really howls if I turn him down So I haven't the heart turn him down (for now - am a softy walkover!)
The thing is I'm available and on tap all day and all night.
I'm resigned to going cold turkey because I think if I try to do it gradually it will prolong the agony. At the moment he eats well but not alot.
Once I stop he'll eat loads like his brother I think.

But keeping going until he is two if I can.

Still co sleeping with Hasan and ds2. They cuddle up together -very cute. I'm planning to eventually relocate to my own bed in the next few months too.

Cor really can't imagine having another little one now

No idea what to get him for Christmas......

muminmiddleeast · 07/03/2009 10:33

just popping in as must read the posts and catch up. my dh keeps taking the laptop to work and i am so tired at night I can't get on email. am 6 months now and HUGE enough to make people nervous

we are finally out of the hotel apartment BUT waiting for our shipment which is "in customs"

ds is very chatty but mostly binned afternoon naps so have no rest.. even if he goes to bed late now he wakes at 7. or before as we live near a mosque

hope all ok with you folks. its birthday time after all!

mygreatauntgriselda · 07/03/2009 15:30

Hi Muinmiddleast -lovely to hear from you [waves] - your life souhds quite exciting, new home, new country etc

muminmiddleeast · 10/03/2009 19:43

yes. but i seem to spend a lot of time moaning am pregnant due june and having baby here, so am quite stressed. am also being driven demented by shipping co hanging onto our stuff for clearly made up reasons to squeeze money from us they even started haggling. i hate haggling.

good luck for the moonwalk, sounds fun.

SuperSillyus · 11/03/2009 09:45

muminmiddleast you poor thing, I would be moaning and stressed too. I know in Pakistan people haggle for everything, it's the national hobby. But where you are should be more straight forward, dh says go to the boss/higher authority. I hope you get your stuff soon, it's a bit difficult to settle when you don't have your belongings around you.

It'll be nice and warm though, hope you get good support for having the baby. Will anyone come out and stay with you? Maybe you need a doula?
You are very brave and it's a big adventure.

I am in bad form today...forgot to be tooth fairy for dd's first tooth feel bad, I'm in 'I can barely cope mode' struggle to get her homework done with her every week. struggle to keep on top of the chaos.....usual story...

OP posts:
muminmiddleeast · 11/03/2009 10:52

what a nice message, you do make me feel better would LOVE a doula but there are none here. my mum can't come out as she can't leave my dad, he is very ill on oxygen etc. my sil would be perfect but she is too scared to travel alone and time off work for her and her husband not a possibility really. i have a friend who doen;t work(!) with no kids who can come but not til weeks later- need a head girl type its not a holiday for them and people don't rea;lly have the holiday to spare

need someone for about 2 weeks really. my dh only gets a week off and i will be in hospital for 4 of those days.

tooth fairy- can she be late cos she had to wait for postman pat to bring the special present?

mygreatauntgriselda · 11/03/2009 13:23

Ooops need to catch up with you all. Just chasing sponsors. Ay more willing to sponsor me???

@Tis for a very good cause:

SuperSillyus · 12/03/2009 14:49

muminmiddleeast, at least you have a few months yet, maybe you could find a mother's help/housekeeper type person who can be around to help and support you. And hopefully you'll start to make some friends out there. Usually when you have a gap in your life someone arrives to fill it!

Dd had deep disappointment all over her face when the tooth fairy didn't show up but last night she got a tiny note and some money and she was chuffed to pieces. (phew)

I'm getting used to the mooncup this week! I'm finding it surprisingly easy to use and very proud of my self for being so environmentally friendly!

Super IKWYM about struggling to keep up, homework is ruining my life and I can't wait until Easter so I can revert back into my natural Waynetta Slob mode

Glad DD has forgiven the Tooth Fairt

MiME - I hope you get the support you need, it does sound stressful, but I am sure it will settle down over the next few weeks, when you get your belongings back (((hugs)))

elvislives · 13/03/2009 08:15

DD's birthday today! I'm waiting for her to wake up. She obviously hasn't twigged we aren't going to work/ nursery today because she usually wakes early at weekends and sleeps in when we have to go out

DS2 came home from uni for her birthday and she was so thrilled to see him last night. It's so sweet.

SuperSillyus · 13/03/2009 12:58

Have a lovely birthday for dd today Elvislives, that is so sweet that her big bro came home to help celebrate.
