natty, you can sign up to a scheme at your local pharmacy which means you can get over the counter meds free, so you can get some tomorrow.

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 29/11/2008 22:34

can you daisy how do i do that?

LeakyDAISYcal · 29/11/2008 22:38

hang on and I'll find you a link!

LeakyDAISYcal · 29/11/2008 22:45

It's called the Minor Ailments Scheme. Scroll down this page for more information as well as a search facility for local pharmacies that take part in the scheme.

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 29/11/2008 22:47

daisy u kick ass!!
nice to have someone so knowledge able to hand... shame it means u beat me on scrabble..

LeakyDAISYcal · 29/11/2008 22:52

I found out about it on this thread I'm sure.....can't remember who first mentioned it. Shame it's not more publicised.

DS2 still asleep. I need to go to bed, but if I do he will wake in half an hour, but I'm loathe to wake him up for a feed given how little sleep he gets usually.

I'm sitting looking at him in the bouncy chair (he will settle in there, but not the carrycot or crib any more), and he is the spitting image of DS1 at this age.

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 29/11/2008 22:54

aww, tom used to sleep in his bouncer too, maybe its the slant help bring wind up?

i cant get that site to work im confused, it says u can search for minor ailments yet the only that comes up in minor injuries..

maybe im being thick

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 29/11/2008 23:04

Bumperlicious · 30/11/2008 09:07

Morning everyone

DD is currently wearing her baby's dress as a hat on her head and dancing along to this which I cringed at when my mum bought it for her birthday but dd loves.

Today I start training for my roller derby team!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/11/2008 09:36

Morning Bumper. Your DD sounds very cute

I've just been reminicsing (sp?) about childhood Christmases here and it made me cry, but in a good way. I am a soppy old mare though

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 30/11/2008 10:10

aw that thread is nice jammy, goes to show how much christmas has changed
well not in my household lol, we still make the mince pies and paper chains and tradtitonal stuff like that..
well i do and the kids 'help'

i love christmas, this year will be bit rushed, im not decorating till we move so will get about 4 days lol..

im gonna loose my internet over xmas too

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/11/2008 10:18

Morning Natty. Yes times do change, and my Christmas is different now, but only because I've adopted my DH's family's tradiational Christmas routine. Which is still a traditional one, apart from I guess it's unusual in that we don't open presents (apart from stockings) until after the Queen's speech.

Oooh, jamlet alert! She's finally woken from her morning nap - 2.5 hours!

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 30/11/2008 11:10

gosh 2.5 hours?? lazy baby!
wish my kids were sleeping, both of mine up all night and ended up in bed with us
needless to say i got bugger all sleep again, and ellen is very much in my bad books, as she was screaming just to get in our bed last night, no temp or nothing, shes such a jammy cow!

im going to view a house today , i really hope this one is ok cos i just wanna move asap

how was everyones night?
how did you get on with F last night daisy xx

NattyTirednessAndExhaustion · 30/11/2008 12:17

right im off for the day wont be back till this evening, so hope you all have a lovely sunday

TALLULAHBELLE · 30/11/2008 12:34

Hi Natty - did you get the Calpol? I just went to my nearest chemist & asked to sign up for the monor ailments scheme. They took mine & DD's details & that was it. They have a leaflet that lists the ailments covered. DD is generally very healthy so I haven't really had to use it much but have gone in for Calpol & Bonjella.

LittleMissNorty · 30/11/2008 14:00

Hello everyone

Hope viewing was good Natty?

Might have a look at the minor ailments thing...seems too good to be true? Got hydrocortisone cream for DD and eczema seems improved already which is good.

Had 4D scan this morning and baby's pics look uncannily like DDs at same age....wonder if its another pink one? (shit, better think of some girls names - have only got a boys name atm). Couple of pics on FB if anyone is interested.

Tallulah....do you know what you're having? Are DTs identical?

TALLULAHBELLE · 30/11/2008 15:17

Am having two surprises Norty. Hosp policy here not to say. Do know that both have hair though - could see the fuzz on last scan. Accounts for all the heartburn!Don't think are ID but can't realy say for sure until they are here. How are you feeling? How much longer you got to go ? We've got no names either, just can't agree, DH vetoes all my suggestions. And although I can think of a few names that I like there's nothing I really love at the moment so it's not even worth arguing over.

LeakyDAISYcal · 30/11/2008 17:36

afternoon.

had a better night thanks Natty. He slept from midnight until 2am, fed, slept on me for an hour or so, fed again and then slept in the bed with me until 6.30am. I was exhausted though and I'm not sure how alert I was to his needs as I apparently slept through DD having a screaming fit at 4am and when DH was in dealing with her he could hear F doing his usual grunting and groaning .

He has slept all day today and hardly fed so my boobs are like bricks, but at least his colickness seems better and he has been bringing some wind up by himself.

I signed up for the minor ailments scheme, but keep forgetting about it and buying things like calpol etc with my supermarket shop. I hope you got your calpol natty and that DD is better today.

We were out for a family lunch today with the PILs and BIL and his family. It was really nice and all six children (ages 6.5 to 4 weeks) behaved impeccably. DD ate a three course meal. DH and I were as she is a poor eater at the best of times. The portions were full kiddy portions as well, so not small.

4D scan sounds good Norty. Did you opt not to find out the sex then? Not long to go now for you is there? When do you finish at work?

LittleMissNorty · 30/11/2008 17:39

Another 10 weeks to go - this one also got hair....and plenty of heartburn to go with it .....so sympathy for you if you've got double! It gets me up 4-5 times a night.

Have to say the scan was a bit of a reality check this morning. Fuck, I'm going to have another baby....and I've still got one baby .

Right, better go and prep veg for dinner....what an exciting life I lead ...

Foxy....is your DS distraught? My DH is....

LittleMissNorty · 30/11/2008 17:42

X-post Daisy

My DD ate well today as well....something in the air!

Three weeks left at work, then 11 months off . Actually, don't really know how I'm going to manage with 11 months.....I get 3 days a week to myself atm and quite relish it

No idea re sex (of baby anyway )....feeling tired now but the heartburn is doing my head in....nothing is working.

LittleMissNorty · 30/11/2008 17:43

Bout time we saw some updated photo's Daisy? DS2 is 4 weeks now? Glad things are settling down re colic.

LeakyDAISYcal · 30/11/2008 17:59

will try and update some photos on FB soon. He is mostly either crying, groaning with a screwed up face (that looks surprisingly like John Sargeant ) or asleep, so photo opportunities are rare!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/11/2008 18:29

Have just added a few new pics of jamlet to FB

LeakyDAISYcal · 30/11/2008 18:59

lovely photos jammy. I love her CAT construction vehicle

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 30/11/2008 19:18

Thanks Daisy. The CAT vehicle is one of 3 that my ILs got as a set from ebay. All in superb condition. The other 2 are a digger and a bulldozer I think and she is getting them for Xmas, and they are going to keep that one at their house to play with when we visit.
