I've just f&cking shut a document without saving it. F&^%ng c*(K!

I am now going to have to retype the whole F-ing thing.

Just said to DH and he can't even be arsed to get off the sofa.

Arse!!! (my mistake not DH)

TheSeriousOne · 26/11/2008 22:18

OK, sorry, about that... Have finished retying the document and am feeling calmer... Sorry, was just feeling very stressed about the fact I was due to finish work at 9:30 and in fact, I've only just finished now.

Sorry about that.

baiyu · 26/11/2008 23:12

Aww Serious I hate that!

Sorry you've had such a worrying time Pina, I agree with all the advice you've been given, you're right not to panic. Oh and the books thing I do is Usborne books. I sell books at parties, schools etc but I can sell to anyone in any way I choose. I haven't got a website yet, waiting to make a bit of profit first. (but can e-mail you if you're interested) Though things are improving, had a really good party tonight, yay! Tomorrow I'm in a school and the Saturday I have TWO Christmas fairs so things are definitely looking up! I love the books so its not exactly hard work, it's just getting the contacts I think.

Had a fab walk today, think I did about 7 miles (a lot very uphill) so feeling quite pleased with myself, definitely a bit fitter than I was.

GoodDaysAndBadDays · 27/11/2008 08:43

pina glad you are feeling more positive and well done Evie on eating a bit more!

serious yes, CMs are not normally allowed 2 under 12 months, but she rang OFSTED and it's allowed if both babies are siblings of children the CM is already taking...which they are.

I'm off to my parents for the weekend today, won't be back til Monday and no internet access at their antiquated time warp of a house.

Have a great weekend all. Next time I come on MN it will be DECEMBER.......................................................................................... ..YAY!!!!!!!

TSO are you still on for tomorrow? haven't heard from you???

Pina our tree is delivered tomorrow and hopefully will fit the stand we have.....otherwise i have to try and get one before the tree can go up at the weekend. dh really is not interested in decorating the tree - he likes it well enough when it is up but really not bothered about decorating it which actually really irritates me. sorry!

well done on the tooth TSO!

not much else to say except have a lovely weekend GDABD

We are weeks off a tree (if we get one at all)

Dh is never allowed to see the girls at Christmas, his ex always made him have them for new year instead (she wasn't being nice, she just thought she would scupper any plans we might have to go out!) so we've always made a big deal of NYE (we always have a house party). Now the kids are older, they really love it. We generally have a very quiet christmas - My family won't travel over the holidays and DH's parents are really too old, so unless we go up to them, we'll be alone.

my DH is the same - unless I sort a tree etc., it won't happen.

I'm feeling totally down in the dumps at the moment - DH bought me a new desk and I've taken our old PC out to use for work... There were some old e-mails from a friend of DH which were really, really slating me... (I'm not saying I didn't deserve some of it, I know he isn't all that keen on me and I know he would always support DH which is fine) but they are pretty harsh and it's just made me feel realy sh*t. I didn't realise he felt quite so vicious about me

DH is off at Silverstone today, I am supposed to be working (well I AM working) but I am also playing with DS.

Flick Yes still on for tomorrow - as long as you can cope with me not being that happy and DS teething...

TheSeriousOne · 27/11/2008 10:55

GDABDs - hope you have a good time away... My parents house is very similar (they are stuck in a timewarp!) but my dad has atleast discovered the internet (needs to get away from my mum!!)

thefortbuilder · 27/11/2008 11:57

TSO if you are really lucky you will get to see our christmas tree delivered and help me go through the boxes of decorations!

and this year will be a special christmas as it's ds's first one. and as it's just you guys you can do what we did with ds1's first christmas - start drinking champagne in the morning and get slowly sloshed - the dvd's from that year are hilarious - we start off really smart and it slowly goes downhill - talk about slummy parenting

Mitchell81 · 27/11/2008 16:09

Just had Ds2 weighed and he is whopping 11,3kgs/ 25 lbs, 72 cm at 28 weeks/ 6 months. DS1 was 3kgs lighter than this at 38 weeks. So that is why he doesn't fit many 6-9 month clothing. He really needs to cut down some milk. But he is healthy , just a big boy

thefortbuilder · 27/11/2008 16:30

mitchell that's fantastic! and i thought we were doing ok with ds2 at 8kg at around 7 months although i do have small and early babies (ds2 6 weeks early and only 2.1kg at birth)

not much else to report - think we have another tooth on the move as ds2 having small "angry" bouts!!!

he also strangely likes to have no trousers on.....definitely got the naked gene, that one

Mitchell81 · 28/11/2008 08:36

I suppose it is a similar weigh gain to you Flick as DS2 was 4,6kg at birth. I don't feel so bad now.

Niknak21 · 28/11/2008 09:14

I think they put too much emphasis on what they weigh, and not enough on their length (which is admittedly difficult to measure). I think the weight charts can cause worry when actually they are ok.

Mitchell you are right you just have a big healthy boy, and flick has small healthy girls! We can't all be the same.

Niknak Thanks, but you mean Flick has healthy boys

Mitchell81 · 28/11/2008 09:26

Pina Sorry just saw your status on FB. I hope it isn't bells palsy again, do you think it is definetley or could it be something else. Sending you hugs and hope it is a quick recovery. How long did you have it for at 15? Sorry your day out with DH has been ruined and hopefully you get an appointment quickly.

TSO Sorry about reading those emails, but it was a long time ago so hopefully he has changed his mind. It is horrible to read something like that. What does DH say?

Pina sorry you are having a tough time of it.. I really hop eit isn't Bells Palsy... Hope you ar feeling OK.

I'm feeling today.. DS had a really bad night, wasn't at all himself, so I called the nurse this morning and got an appt. for 10am. Had to wait until after 11am and, of course, DS was perfect and the nurse just acted like I'd made the whole thing up.. Didn't do alot for my self esteem today, but DS seems back to normal, though won't eat anything but his milk (which he is devouring)

Thanks for the messages re. the e-mails. I have just deleted them and won't mention it. They were written in 2007, so not a massively long time ago, but there you go.

Mitchell - Your DS2 looks so healthy and happy in the photos... He is (as you say) a big bouncy baby!!)

thefortbuilder · 28/11/2008 13:09

TSO if he's off his food and been up all night it's probably ust his teeth - both mine have done this on more than one occasion and yes you feel like a right idiot dragging them down there.... although my new one for the doctor is "I just want you to listen to his chest as he's been coughing and sounds a bit wheezy" and yes, you guessed it, every time they are both absolutely fine. the doctor now just gives me a prescription for ABs at the first showing and says "if you're not happy after 10 days you can give them these"

and yes niknak i think both ds's would grump at being called girls

nothing else to report here - still waiting for the christmas tree although i've just realised it's going to be massive - 7ft!

TheSeriousOne · 28/11/2008 13:28

Hi Flick - Yes, I am sure it's just teeth, he's happy in himself really - a bit whingey and very clingy (he's sitting here perched on my shoulder) In the cold light of day, that seems reasonable, I didn't feel quite so confident this morning when we'd been up most of the night and he wouldn't settle to anything. I am sorry about today - I hope you are happy with your tree.

Aren't the artwork auctions cool? I am bidding on the PFB one (feels appropriate today )

Thank you mitchell i've been able to look at Macacos festive pictures, i love the reindeer outfit, adorable!
monkeysmamma are you sure were not sharing the same man? lol. I think my dp is making an effort. Nothing major but he's been home in the evenings a lot more than usual and even turned down a few invites Its probably nothing to do with me and just lack of cash but i am enjoyinghim being around and dd is too.
Niknak wow 8 teeth!! dd is 7 months and not one peggy
Exciting time ahead serious my first 2 were 18 months apart. Hard work and they hated one another!
