Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Sputnik · 09/11/2008 22:07

Nice pressie
How's the Mighty Fin? (been dying to say that!)

LackaDAISYcal · 09/11/2008 22:11

Lol sputnik

His new nickname...woohoo!!

He is a poppet. He does a great line in Peter Lorre and John Sargeant lookylikes, I must get a photo posted up.

His mouth is clear, but he is still chomping me and struggling with his latch. We'll crack it, but it fecking hurts when he feeds at the minute.

Sputnik · 09/11/2008 22:28

Yes, more photos please!

educatingRia · 09/11/2008 22:39

LOL sputnik, both at the nickname and the suggestions of your dad surfing round the kitchen on a tea tray.
baggins is a little bugger climber too. Anything, but especially the small drawer unit I have next to my chair, he climbs on and stands and shouts "Mam" until I come and get him down, only for him to climb straight back up again.

just been to DMs for a bitch de-brief.was a mistake because they were watching Stepehn Fry in a brothel. they didn't notice anything amiss with dsis so it must just be me. Nothing like an afternoon in RL with family to make a person super-greatful for their virtual friends.

Love the Hammond/May cloning. And Clarksons "apology" was rofl.

Sputnik · 09/11/2008 22:45

We have CDs of the Pooh Bear stories with Stephen Fry as Pooh, it's probably one of his greatest roles. We have heard them a million times, somehow seeing him in a brothel would seem wrong

OK, baggins just bit through a CD case

no enthusiasm today, so tired. why wo't my children sleep? was up in the night feeling ill too.

I have my first tutorial later

LittleMissNorty · 10/11/2008 11:35

Poor you Ria ....hope you feel better....you'll be fine at your tutorial

Miserable blardy weather here so another day stuck indoors....

LOL Daisy at crushing 1st trimester tiredness......I've had crushing 2nd and now 3rd tirmester tiredness as well....

Thank goodness I don't have a little climber.....might refuse to have her toenails cut, but she doesn't climb.....yet

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 10/11/2008 12:18

Miserable day here too. Thankfully I'm in the nice dry (but unfortunately not overly warm) office. Hoping Jamlet's OK at nursery. She did give a little smile this morning when I asked her if she was looking forward to going to nursery and seeing her friend XXX (will withold the name to protect the innocent) And hoping DH is OK too - he had a hospital appointment this morning, to do a biopsy in his mouth.

Ria, sorry you're feeling rubbish. Sure the tutorial will be fine. All the OU one's I did were OK.

Jamlet loves climbing at the playground, and on stairs, and once she's onto the bed or sofa she loves climbing up to look over the top, but thankfully hasn't worked out how to get up onto bed/sofa in the first place (yet!) But she has started trying to climb up the pile of electronic devices under the TV

I think I am scared because it's on the phone. I don't like phones

any ideas (especially you Storm, cos you know about these things) about improving DS1s handwriting? I put a note in his school planner today to ask them for advice, but since the homework fiasco over half term (which luckily he did not get intop trouble for) I think even he has realised his handwriting is lacking. There was working in the stuff I threw out last week from right at the beginning of primary, and if anything his writing is worse now. I did find a link on here, but it mentioned dyspraxia, which has just terrified the living daylights out of me. I'm sure he hasn't got it, but - like the dyslexia - he ticks a few of the boxes.

educatingRia · 10/11/2008 13:52

I won!!! DH has made the right decision without any kind of paddying/sexual bribery. Am very pleased because obviously I was right and he has realised that. Now he has to tell the Godfather....

thanks storm. I think we have moved on a atep in that he has realised himself that he could do better. Now I just have to chill... I am going to have find a poundland.

Tutorial was fine, if a bit scary. And I don't have that many, plus I can email with queries, so am a bit calmer.

LittleMissNorty · 10/11/2008 17:18

Quiet on here....

DD is throwing a fit in her highchair cos she doesn't want roast chicken dinner....only nice things....

and she is pissing me off

and she's just thrown food on the floor

roll on daddy coming home....and bedtime....

[sorry]

educatingRia · 10/11/2008 18:46

that's alright norty. I went to DMs in the miserable freezing cold at 9.30 last night cos DS2 was pissing me off with his non-sleepingness.

LackaDAISYcal · 10/11/2008 19:07

Evening

Been sort of babymooning here today trying to get Fin's latch sorted. We're not there yet, but are getting somewhere. He has fed really well through the night and again today. It's still a bit sore but I think that might be down to residual tenderness rather than anything being wrong.

Nothing else of note to report, but I definately need to get out tomorrow as I have cabin fever. The weather is just so rubbish though.

Glad the tutorial went better than you thought it would Ria. These things are tough, but you've done it now and the next one will be a lot easier

LackaDAISYcal · 10/11/2008 19:21

and sorry about the tantrums Norty; we get lots of food throwing at the minute as well.

it's very tedious especially when combined with the high pitched squealing.

DH is begining to see why I am knackered and crap all the time.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 10/11/2008 19:48

Glad feeding is getting better Daisy.

Jamlet had another good day at nursery Though they seem to judge a good day by the amount of food eaten . I'm sure they have other criteria, but I always get told "she had a good day, she ate everything we gave her."

DH has 3 job interviews this coming week, and there is still hope for him and his friends starting their own company, so fingers crossed.

NattyTomAndEllen · 10/11/2008 20:07

lol storm, yeah perhaps!
my washing machine died, plumber cant fix it. need replacing, but my landlord has fucked off on holiday without telling us and cant get hold of him till next week.
so both kids in cloth and no machine, and a bucket of shitty nappies. AAGRRGGGR
added on the that our bank account STILL isnt fixed, the bathroom still needs retiling as we have a hole in the wall, the windows leak when it rains, and the council have cut our housing benefit by 200 a month.
and its christmas soon!

omg, i cant cope, my head is going to explode.

why does it always happen to me?

TALLULAHBELLE · 10/11/2008 20:17

Hey Storm- any good deals there at the mo? Poundland, I mean. Am looking for gifts for kids in my class - there are 26 of them so I don't want to spend much more than a quid on each. They will be expecting a party so need little prizes too.

LackaDAISYcal · 10/11/2008 20:19

housing issues natty?

TALLULAHBELLE · 10/11/2008 20:19

Is there no one to help Natty, at least with the washing. I haven't had a machine since moving into my new flat so have had to put DD in disp nappies which I hate.
