Thought as the messages were coming in thick & fast I´d start new thread. Don´t know if it´ll work though. Fingers crossed.

OP posts:

Oh and I agree with Sal.
No point checking up on him, no point at all. What matters is him not doing it, not him getting caught.

Peachy · 30/10/2008 22:01

ge him to bin his sim card- you copy across all other numbers just not that one. sorted!

I have just had the most horrifiv argument with dh myself (didnt see that coming then ) his meds are making him sleepy and its all he will talk about and he now thinks i should get up at 6 when he gets in so he can sleep better. trouble is ds1 doesnt settle until after 12 and i am up every 2 hours but apparently i've never done a days work in my life so it doesnt matter- in actuality since june is the only time i havent been working or studying including the 6 months after he was sacked when i paid the bills and he felt sorry for himself

LOL

I know the problem; lack of fun. he sad that was mums fault as she wouldnnt babysit bas but she tried, he just gto too obsessed- and that was to do his hobby not mine ...

anyway i thik were ok, he has a week off frm tuesday so i've told him to think of something he wants to do for fun

Peachy · 30/10/2008 22:02

I am in wales but soujth sadly- but if you ever come this way (you might well pass this end coming from where you are, we're near the motorway- newport area) love to meet you- well any of you

SalLikesCoffee · 30/10/2008 22:10

Peachy, that sucks. The time off should do you all good. I think he's wrong (obv), hope he realised this.

I've just eaten an ice lolly and now my tongue feels funny... Thought I'd share.

Peachy · 30/10/2008 22:12

pmsl at the lolly

no he doesnt real;ise it, he thinks I am lazy and I mustnt discuss my problems with him as it steresses him but he needs to talk to me to recover

I told him to buy a therapist then coz I was going to find a man

I did apologise

SalLikesCoffee · 30/10/2008 22:14

pmsl. i wouldn't have apologised. (but then, i'm apparently not the easiest person in the world to live with. i think that's all rumours )

SalLikesCoffee · 30/10/2008 22:18

without joking though, is it possible for him to see someone for his stress then? bloody hell, you're as close as possible to being superwoman, there's only so much one person can do. even just looking at the practical side of it - if you have a nervous breakdown or even just go ill because of exhaustion, someone (meaning him) will have to pick up the pieces, and that's no use if he's already tired, is it?

Hmm, sorry, got a bit upset there and forgot about the existence of Capital Letters.

SalLikesCoffee · 30/10/2008 22:36

Well, I'm off to bed as I can't help myself with the ice lollies (now have no feeling in my lips either). Am slightly concerned, as the last time I consumed industrial amounts of ice lollies was when I was pregnant.

scorpio1 · 31/10/2008 07:54

Peachy i really farking hate those 'you dont know what work is moments'

When we had had jamie, he was about 8 months (FF so easy to leave) he kept saying this so i went to my family in Wales for a weekend - it took 6 hurs before he caved, LOL

Thanks everyone for the help, again. Peachy, they are contracts, new ones, so v expensive (like £hundreds) to get out of. He has offered though. I think its money for nothing as i want to be able to trust a 26 yr old man with a phone, non?

I talked to him again last night; he says he is staying away from me as he can just see i dont want him near me(true). Today im going to try to stop that feeling and maybe have a few cuddles or something. For me, not him. We are gong out tonight.

Peachy you live near all of my family - Gwent, Ebbw Vale, Cwmbran.

Peachy · 31/10/2008 09:31

Ah Scorpio- if he's offered that's everything girl!

I do seem to live near your lot- we shop in Cwmbran PMSL, our 'village' is half way between newport and Cwmbran. I put village as 'village' because its a small town really but has a really old bit in rhe centre which is where we live and is ancient sor efered to as village- when I say ancient I mean the local Archaeology gropup excavated my garden wall to see if it was Roman (it wasn't, only 300 years old pmsl)

DH seems to be trying to be friendly tis morning. I knw its hard as he hates working nights but this was the job he really wanted,, the one that'd change his life- I ahd a great job I adored in a local college, manning the evening desk etc and I was doing really well- boss took me for a coffee on appraisal day as I had no faults (maybe she could tell that to DH?!) and I ha to leave as he saw th job he wanted and handed in his notice, amking childcare impossible . I am thinking if I cant teacher train for a bit, I might try and get something similar locally- at least I should have good references, and as it was evenings I am still round for multitudes of appointments etc.

Which oculd relate to the trigger for all this- DH took the call to say we're seeing the Paed for ds3 on December 15th and she will either give him a written dx or refer him to a specialist.

Peachy · 31/10/2008 09:34

mind, not even thinking about job hunting until September. See if he actually goes to Uni forst, before I rearrnage my entire life!

scorpio1 · 31/10/2008 09:59

I like the shops in Cwmbran, so much more than what we have here! (yes, we really have nothing!!)

Im glad you and DH are ok And if you want a job, why not??

SalLikesCoffee · 31/10/2008 10:33

Quick hello to everyone! (Am pretending I'm checking for important e-mails as can't really be MN'ing on our last day together after dh took the day leave! )

Will say proper good bye tonight. Hope there will be millions of posts to read before I go on holiday - it has to last me a month. Make something up if you have to.

Bye for now.

TheShipsCat · 31/10/2008 10:40

Hi Sal,
I was just going to write anyway, to say have a fantastic time! We are going to miss you...I hope you enjoy yourselves, and we'll look forward to seeing reading you when you get back!

LuckyPumpkin74 · 31/10/2008 12:16

Hello April ladies,

I know I don't post very often, I'm more of a May lady as DD was due in May.

Anyway, I would really value your opinion, if you have time, on this thread on making up formula feeds

What do you all do (if you use FF).

Cheers, and happy halloween

Luckymummy x

ThePFJ · 31/10/2008 13:00

DP had day off today so we planned to spend the day together. Had activites planned, and was looking forward to it. 1 hour after we got started he got called into work. he's going out tonight as well (Friday nights he always goes RPing at his friends house). I feel really BLEH and despondant now.

Blehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Peachy · 31/10/2008 13:32

RP? Sorry dont know that one

DH is up in a inute, we have to go out to the bank. SOoooooooooo exciting.

ThePFJ · 31/10/2008 13:38

Luckymummy - I sterilize my 8 Avent bottles beforehand and then boil a kettle full of filtered water from my Brita jug. I leave it 20 mins not usually more than 30 mins, then make up the bottles. After being shaken I leave them to stand until they are cool enough to go into the fridge. I then take a bottle out of the fridge as needed and heat in the microwave to baby's preference. If jack is in dire need of a bottle and I have only just made them up I'll stand a bottle in cold water in the sink until its cooled down enough for him.

The only trouble I have is the steam from the hot water when trying to add the formula scoopfuls to the bottles. It makes the powder stick to the scoop a bit. I have to bang it alot and sometimes add a wee bit extra formula to bottles to compensate for the fur on the scoop reducing the measures eachtime IYSWIM. I always rinse the scoop off in hot water after use.

I do also take a bottle up to bed with me to give Jack in the night to save me going downstairs to the fridge. It sometimes will be left out for 2-4hours before Jack needs it, but I figure the formula was already sterilized by the hot water on making up the bottles and this should be ok. I know.. I am lazy.. but my bed is too warm at 4am and so easy to reach over to moses basket and just pop bottle in babies mouth without moving!

How's that for a comprehensive look at my exciting existance?
Hope it helps you compare notes.

Am still feeling crap. Booo to DP's who have to bugger off....

ThePFJ · 31/10/2008 13:38

RP - roleplaying like Dungeons and Dragons and the like.. tabletop gaming sort of thing.

Peachy · 31/10/2008 13:40

Oh I see, yes I know the stuff- XP was vaguely into it.

ThePFJ · 31/10/2008 13:42

BTW Luckymummy, I use Cow and Gate formula. I didn't like the consistancy of the SMA. I know there's not much difference but I really prefer the C&G.

scorpio1 · 31/10/2008 13:49

I used to make bottles for the boys the same as PFJ, though new guidelines suggest making up each one as you go... Mimi won't even entertain the bottle, starts spitting when she sees it! Going to have to sort that again soon...

Got a new tartan mini-skirt for tonight; just gonna do my hair at some point. Think H has to work tomorrow as well...thought cannot complain in current climate. Am winning a footmuff on ebay as we speak...

scorpio1 · 31/10/2008 13:53

I won it!! A bright pink one for my denim bugaboo - whoop whoop! £43 too....bargain!

ThePFJ · 31/10/2008 13:53

Well if the guidelines are true then I need to take a kettle, formula, water, empty bottles out with me and then demand someone let me use their kitchen everytime I go out with Jack for the afternoon. Or of course I could buy some expensive ready made formula cartons to pour into a bottle.

Hmmmmm.

NO.

ThePFJ · 31/10/2008 13:54

Wooo Scorpio!!!!!
