Thought as the messages were coming in thick & fast I´d start new thread. Don´t know if it´ll work though. Fingers crossed.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
TheShipsCat · 28/10/2008 11:08

Thanks, I'll have a look in the shops. I've been mean to the cat - as in, not talking to him, but I suspect this form of training is just a bit too subtle!

VictorianSqualor · 28/10/2008 11:54

Ladies. I'm fine.
sorry for linking this scorpio but this is what we're here for.

Peachy · 28/10/2008 12:39

TSC feed him there for a bit (on a mat obv)- they hate to poo where they eat , well can't blame them really!

Denny Mum got the fleecy grobag from Boots, its much lighter (and cheaper) than a 'proper' grobag and incredibly soft

LB- I do bread both ways. I am being quite good atm; food is dh's and my 'thing' but of course prices are high so i'm amking loads- yesterday taught the boys rubbing in, grating, weighing and peeing and we ended up with a cottage pie and a delicious blackberry and apple crumble (yum- and dairy free alpro custard is at least as nice as the 'real' thing). rather oddly Dh and the boys begged to have their pie with lots of sprouts- they all adore them. I like them well enough, but they worship them - i rhink even ds3 had 10!

Nice to see you VS- i've been totally useless about e-mailing you, sorry- did go onto FB to do it last night but was angrily sidetracked by the discovery of the group AAA- adults aganst autism, calling for 'these useless members of society to be removed' (or somesuch- equated to neo nazi shite anyhow, and basically killing without using the word)

So if anyone on FB please repot to [email protected]

but sorry anyway and I hope you're ok

Peachy · 28/10/2008 12:41

(that site gave me nightmares all night that someone wanted to kill my babies- well they do don't they)

Peachy · 28/10/2008 12:47

Oh scorpio yuou poor soul. If you want a chat any time, you have my email OK?

I wouldn't draw too much from it, confession that I did something very similar to DH several years ago (before ds3- he does know) and it never went beyond the texts. At the time my confidence was rock bottom because of lots of things that had happened and I think that caused it but I would never cheat on DH

ThePFJ · 28/10/2008 13:41

Hugs Peachy!!!! I think after hearing that I'll either be having nightmares too or better yet, I'll be dreaming that I personally drop in on AAA with an automatic machine gun and well... lets say none of those useless members of society with nothing better to do survive in that scenario.

Scorpio if you want to talk to us you know we are all here for you.

xxx

ThePFJ · 28/10/2008 14:40

Have decided I am far too voluptous and have just started a diet. so I'll be trying to eat a lot less from now on. Hopefully that and running after baby should help do the trick.

TheShipsCat · 28/10/2008 16:11

Peachy at AAA thing. I can't believe its for real. How horrible for you. And thanks for info on cat - his food is next to the litter tray, maybe that's why he prefers to dump in our bedroom. I'll move the food...

Scorpio. So sorry you've had such an awful time. I can't think of any advice, but I just wanted to say that you are really an amazing woman, it would be awful if this knocked your confidence any more. I am full of admiration for you, and I am sure DH can see how wonderful you are too . He just took his eye off the ball for a bit, but I am sure he wouldn't risk losing you - and if he did, what a fool...

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 16:37

Peachy, that's shocking!!! (Not the bread, that sounds lovely - except for the bit where you teach the boys "peeing" hehehe - the morons on FB!!!) Urgh, some people are, well, words escape me. I like PFJ's plan with them.

Hmm, am just wondering (as English my second language so maybe I'm missing something here...) - "peeing" is a typo, no? Or am I missing an important part of bread making vocabulary???

TheShipsCat · 28/10/2008 16:41

No, Sal, it is very important to pee into your bread just before kneading. Helps with the yeast

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 16:44

Ewwww. Peachy, I'm sure you're a GREAT cook, but if you don't mind I'll skip the bread in your (and TSC's for that matter) house

ThePFJ · 28/10/2008 16:46

Sal maybe she meant peeling???

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 16:52

I really hope so! :D

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 16:53

i now do in normal e-mails and :D here... my worlds are merging!

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 17:11

DH was planning on working from home all day, but now the one file that he needs for a meeting that starts at 7pm tonight (with US) won't open properly from here, so he had to go in to work not long ago. I'm rather disappointed, at that means he won't be home before 9:30 at the earliest. Urgh!!!

ThePFJ · 28/10/2008 17:27

Awwww Sal that sucks. Or as my DP says.. That sucks the sweat of a dead man's balls. Or whatever that means.

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 17:29

Hahahaha PFJ. Love that saying, will promptly repeat it to my dh now via messenger, and if i'm getting told off I'm blaming your dh

ThePFJ · 28/10/2008 17:32

Go for it. My favourite swear word now we're cleaning up our language when baby is around is 'Balls!' I really want to say 'Bugger it' too but think LO would get in trouble for saying that if teacher heard at school.. not sure really.

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 17:42

i need to think of alternative "swear" words. I don't normally swear really, but you have the "oh for fuck's sake" moments where "oh dear" just doesn't do it...

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 17:48

Scorpio, are you around? Just want to know whether you're ok?

Peachy · 28/10/2008 18:00

surely peeing is just alternative seasoniong a la bear grylls?

LOL

No, peeLing!

PMSL

Denny185 · 28/10/2008 18:02

I do say bugger lots and DS copies stil could be a lot worse.

Scorpio sorry your having a shit time, hope your managing to work through it.

Well I know Im a late developer but I have just discovered plum baby and DD2 is v glad that I have.

ThePFJ · 28/10/2008 18:30

Have decided to get Jack a baby walker as he really needs some more stimulation, and sometimes I need 10mins to leave the room and do housework. Have ordered a Graco Dino one.

here

What do you think?

Denny185 · 28/10/2008 18:37

I do use walkers/bouncers 10 mins IMO is fine although they do have v bad press - encouraging toe walking gaits poor/incorrect muscle function. These things will occur if u use for long periods of time but for short time frames I like them.

SalLikesCoffee · 28/10/2008 19:50

Agree with Denny - don't think a really short period per day would do damage. (Or I might just be saying that to make myself feel slightly less guilty.) It is great to have time to have a shower etc though.
