Jess is taking up to 10 steps at a time now..... so proud of her! Moving house 9th september, so could be interesting! ill be about 34 weeks pg and moving house.... AHHHHH HELP!

littlerach · 08/08/2005 18:56

We have a pic of DD1 when she was 18 months, with the entire contents of my underwear drawer round her neck!!!

JBAM, what a PITA.

Evie is 1 tomorrow, we had a party for her and my mum on Saturday (same bday!) so she had most of her presents then. But we kept a few back. DH has this week off, so it's lively here! But poor Evie has a little cold.

JABM - you are braver than me I will be 20 weeks when we move. I painted my living room at 32 weeks last time maybe it was an early nesting instinct.

So so looking forward to finally getting unpacked and having SPACE!!

littlerach · 09/08/2005 10:53

We moved last year, 2 weeks before Evie was due!
Is good for nesting instincts.

Evie is 1 today, so strange. Ans so lovely.

I moved at 37 weeks pg with Jess, and ill be 36 weeks this time.... i must be mad!

As LR says tho - its great for nesting!!!

Springchicken · 09/08/2005 11:37

Happy Birthday Evie
Hope you have a lovely day darling x

My Evie was sparko at 6.30 last night and went all the way through til 7 this morning. she must've been exhausted.
I am going to bring her routine forward a bit now have dinner at 5 - 5.30, bath at 6 then bottle and bed at 7. think this will suit her much better.

sweetkitty · 11/08/2005 12:31

She's walking!! My little baby is walking on her own she's far too little to be walking! She loves being the centre of attention so whenever anyone is in she's walking so they all clap and smile at her.

I'm surprised she has walked this early as she didn't roll over till 7 months, she only started proper crawling 6 weeks ago (with knees) all her friends were cruising and standing long before she was but she seems to have done everything in the last few weeks. She only started pulling herself up in the last 6 weeks as well. So I thought she would be later at walking. Although I have won my bet with DP I said she would be walking by my birthday (21st)!

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 11/08/2005 12:34

Excellent! Jess is getting more confident by the day, but still wont just up and walk!

She is taking quite a few steps but still lieks the comfort of knowing she is walking towards one of us or can land on her bum!

sweetkitty · 11/08/2005 12:50

oh we still have falls mostly because she gets up and runs (my nerves are shattered)

just reread my post and it's my birthday on the 21st not my 21st I wish!! It's my 30th

sweetkitty · 15/08/2005 09:25

Got Abbie measured for her first pair of shoes on Saturday (she had grown out of all her cruisers) £25 couldn't believe it and they will last her 2 months at most. She looks so grown up in her shoes bless her, she's walking everywhere now well trying to run, she also likes to drink on the move too and try and dress herself too (puts DP's t-shirt over her head and try to walk then wonders why she falls)!

Toothache · 15/08/2005 09:28

SK - SNAP! Gorgeous bright pink and purple shoes. I couldn't believe she's a 4.5G already!!

Be warned folks.... I got her measured in Adams first coz Clarks was mobbed... they said she was a 2!

She can't walk very well in them though, they are quite heavy for her. She prefers chewing them.

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 15/08/2005 09:48

I thought Jess had big feet!!!

4G.... got the clarkes purple butterfly shoes as she isnt quite walking yet.... will take steps but not proper waplking.... bless her.

£18 for her shoes.... expensive thing kids aint they!

sweetkitty · 15/08/2005 10:41

aww Abbie's only a 3.5F and they seem a bit big for her there the purple and pink ones too with little suede butterflies and flowers on the front. (is that the only pair they do?) Think she's inherited her mums tiny feet.

She looks funny in them and walks like they weigh a pound each!

I was the same in Clarks, trust me to go the Saturday before the schools go back.

Springchicken · 15/08/2005 11:46

Glad we've got so many walkers here, DD took 3 steps all on her own but wont do it again.
If you hold one of her hands she tears about everywhere but not quite confident enough on her own yet.

Evie's got German Measle's Bless her. My spotty grumpy little lady.

littlerach · 15/08/2005 14:17

SC, my Evie's the same! Not quite confident enough yet!

Germen measles sounds horrid, that's Rubella isn't it?

If it's any consolation, DD1 used to go almost 4 months without her feet growing. Evie has the littlest feet ever, she is still in 0-6 month leather ones, that don't fall off! I remember taking DD1 to get her first shoes, and they didn't have any little enough, she had to have the cruisers!

We had a trip to Swanage last week and Evie ate so much sand, and DH found her with a pebble in her mouth! She craled all over the beach, we were knackered from chasing after her. She kept making a beel ine for the family with the nicest looking food!

Eshay · 16/08/2005 14:25

Thomas has been walking for a while too. He's a bit over-confident and tries to do everything while walking. His favourite is chewing on his toothbrush, which often sends shivers down my spine as I imagine him toppling over with it in his mouth still.

He wears a size 5 - taking after his daddy for sure. He likes wearing shoes but I usually take them off while we're indoors. He likes carrying my shoes and boots everywhere too. The other day I found my boots halfway up the stairs. He's such a little giant!

His favourite new thing is pointing at everything. What he likes most is to be held so we can go and look at things together. He'll point at a lamp and as soon as you get there he'll point at something in the opposite direction. What a great game!

Spring Chicken, how are things coming along with Evie's sleeping habits? I suppose her having German Measles is not helping any.

Eshay · 16/08/2005 14:29

Oh, I almost forgot: Thomas had his MMR last Friday. He was very brave and only cried for a minute. Afterwards I took him to the playground and he was doing well until lunchtime. He puked everything out! But after a nice nap he seemed fine again. No spots or other nasty side effects just yet.

Springchicken · 16/08/2005 16:27

Hi Eshay, they seem alot better for bringing her routine forward half and hour or so but no the measles weren't helping.

All spots have gone now, took her to doctors this morning and he said it will have been a side effect of the MMR as aposed to a full bout of German measles, which i a good thing i suppose.

Size 5 feet, that is amazing, Evie is only a 3G. Thomas sounds like a right little character

littlerach · 16/08/2005 16:48

How old are they when they have MMr?

We ahs separate jabs for DD1 so sre doing the same for DD2, we are waiting for the appt to come, hopefully Sept. So she will be 13 months.

OP posts:
jessicaandbumpsmummy · 16/08/2005 16:49

MMR is 13 months i think.... jsut waiting for jess's appointment now - she will be officially 13 months next week when she is on holiday, so will have to wait til we are all back. Dreading ti though!

sweetkitty · 17/08/2005 08:54

Know what you mean about having your nerves shattered by them walking, Abbie likes to walk and drink at the same time. I find things all over the house now as well, never know where the remote controls are! She loves typing on the keyboard as well.

Sorry to hear about Evie's german measles- hope she is feeling better soon.

littlerach · 17/08/2005 08:58

What size do Clarkes shoes start in?
I tried DD1's first shoes on Evie last night and they were like boats. They are a 3 1/2 G.

Sweetkitty, how's the house going?

OP posts:
jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/08/2005 13:05

i think its a 3 littlerach..... jess's first crawlers were at 3.5F.... you've got a little petite one there!

littlerach · 17/08/2005 13:42

Don't I know it!!
So many people have said, oh my, she's so quick to stand/wave/clap etc, thinking she is only 7 or 8 months!

She had a real hissy fit today, and actually lay face down and cried! We couldn't helpl laughing!

OP posts:
jessicaandbumpsmummy · 17/08/2005 13:43

Jess does that a lot and all we can do is laugh at her! Its amazing how they get wound up over the smallest things isnt it - as i speak jess is having a tantrum because we have closed the stairgate!!!
