EEk, here goes......

  1. Are there any colours you absolutely love which would be good to include in a project? I love purple

  2. Are there any colours you cannot stand or which will clash with any of your decorating schemes? I'm not keen on green, orange or yellow.

3)Are there any smells or flavours you love? lavender

  1. ok - a bit predictable but are there any smells or flavours you cannot abide/make you puke etc. No

  2. are there any habits or hobbies we should bear in mind? No

  3. are there any habits or hobbies you never indulge in - ie cooking, drinking, DIY etc No

  4. are there any logos or characters you love or loathe? No

  5. do fragile objects have a safe haven?
or will they get smashed to pieces within 5 minutes? They'll be ok

  6. do you have any phobias that might be relevant ie buttons etc No

To be honest, I'd be happy with almost anything as I LOVE presents

FiendishFairyFay · 26/10/2008 11:59

Hi Elvira, I was here but have to go out now, sorry. Will be back later

RiallyEeRiaee · 26/10/2008 12:12

morning. Am back from church, where we filmed and photographed as an assessment for my friend. Eek. I wore a skirt and my tights did an audible rip when I got in the car (we were ready too late to walk) DS1 is now DS-less as he told everyone he was disappointed he'd had to leave his DS at home It may have been out of context but still [sngry] after last week.

Bumper I am a bit the opposite, as my boys are getting older I am finding it harder and harder. I LOVE babies.

am very and about Mr Jammy. I would have had to go in and see how

for baby norty (can't spell that one!)

glad Mr Sputnik is home and OK.

Got the email thanks and am pondering........I did have a few ideas, but they don't suit my recipient. Tis a challenge this!!

but here are my answers to your straw poll elvira.

  1. Are there any colours you absolutely love which would be good to include in a project?

*purples and lilacs and blues

  1. Are there any colours you cannot stand or which will clash with any of your decorating schemes ie no purple for bathroom-destined gifts

Not that I would worry about; I need inspiration for my redecorating anyway

3)Are there any smells or flavours you love

lavender and all things chocolatey

  1. ok - a bit predictable but are there any smells or flavours you cannot abide/make you puke etc

not really, but artificial smells like plug ins make me sneeze

  1. are there any habits or hobbies we should bear in mind?

knitting, gardening, reading, cooking

  1. are there any habits or hobbies you never indulge in - ie cooking, drinking, DIY etc

potholing

  1. are there any logos or characters you love or loathe?

not really a fan of logos

  1. do fragile objects have a safe haven? or will they get smashed to pieces within 5 minutes?

they could have a safe haven

  1. do you have any phobias that might be relevant ie buttons etc

nope

but I'm with you on purple dinosurs...dorothy from the wiggles is purple as well.

had our walk and now my pelvis is so sore I can hardly move. The brake on the P&T is NOT GOOD to work when almost 9mo pregnant and has nearly crippled me. DD tantrummed all the way back as she knew there were maltesers in the bottom of the buggy and I wouldn't let her have them. We had a full on throwing herself on the ground do and then going stiff when I tried to put her back in the buggy. Then she fell asleep five minutes from the house and is now very grumpy as she only had 5mins sleep.

roll on five o'clock when my boys get back.

LackaDAISYcal · 26/10/2008 13:03

sputnik, I'm glad DH is OK and that there were no weapons or intimidation involved. I hope you've caught up on some sleep at least.

Have your clocks changed or are you on the same time as us now?

JammyOLantern · 26/10/2008 13:06

I have set up a thread for these secret santa questions here

I see Daisy has xposted while I was doing that - I shall just copy and paste her answers....

JammyOLantern · 26/10/2008 13:12

Agree the brake on P&T is rather tricky. It does loosen a little with use I find, but as I rarely put it on ours is still fairly stiff. I often end up bending down to do it when I do need to use it.

PILs have bought an extra buggy for £5 to keep at theirs so we don't have to bother taking one up there when we visit. Will be very useful when we go for Xmas as we'll have plenty of other stuff to fill the boot with. No idea what it is, but at £5 who cares

And I have bought a dozen nappies from Ella's House . We are finding that Jamlet's nappies are getting tight round the tum, despite the fact that she is still in the middle of the stated weight range for them . But they are very old and worn, were given to us 2nd hand, so have just bought some new, bigger ones and hope that that will do us through to potty training. Hopefully when she eventually gets going properly with the walking she'll trim down a little anyway.

LackaDAISYcal · 26/10/2008 13:29

lol jammy, if I don't put it on the buggy runs off by itself. I can see why they give you a wrist strap with it!!

And the cosytoes for our old McLaren fits fine and is dark grey so co-ordinates nicely....DH will be pleased.

Do you or holly or fairy have any of the P&T bags? I quite fancied a hang bag as there is nowhere to chuck my keys when I nip out for the school run, but DH is keen for me to use one of our existing bumbags for the job. I might just get one since I'm saving £40 on the cosytoes!!

JammyOLantern · 26/10/2008 13:52

No, didn't get a bag. (Being tight again!) I have hung a bum bag over the handle bar quite sucessfully when I was just going out for a walk in summer and only needed keys and a phone. (With clean nappy and wipes stashed underneath of course).

Another economical tea tonight After the sucess of leek & potato soup the other night (I made it as we had a load of leeks and even though I don't normally like leek & potato soup I liked it) I'm making cauliflower and roquefort soup tonight. OK, we had to but the cheese but it should make enough for 2 nights so that's OK. And now going to try out Bumper's sugar free banana cake recipe for Jamlet to take to nursery tomorrow...

JammyOLantern · 26/10/2008 13:53

We like the blurb on the wrist strap btw

LackaDAISYcal · 26/10/2008 14:02

pmsl @ "unmanned flight, deep sea exploration and luge racing"...although DH has already commented that the chassis would make a great go-kart

RiallyEeRiaee · 26/10/2008 14:04

DH is watching a Take That concert on TV

was going to my Mums with the boys but DS2 has the bossylittle girl from down the street to play.

ELVIRA........help!

I need you on my November thread. I have a slightly panicky home birther (1st baby) with a hindwater leak who needs some reassurance. Can you help?
