But I'll know the eternal secret then

I'm really determined not to be the type of mother I have crossed swords with on many an occasion. Probably easier said than done though. Mind you my mum was the type of MIL who seemed to prefer her sons-in-law to her daughters

We have another not quite November baby and another one scheduled tomorrow...they are coming thick and fast now; tis all a bit scary.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/10/2008 18:45

I just read trace's post out to DH and he was filling up as well ...big soppy git that he is!

RiallyEeRiaee · 23/10/2008 18:49

bless him.

My early thought tonight are I'm off to bed with the DCs. have a dodgy tummy and headache from hell. DH has an assignment for his course to do for tomorrow (silly tutor rang and told him this morning) so I might have to give up the PC for the night anyway

Hello all

It's the weekend for me - yay! We are going to mymum's (well, her partner's house) tomorrow. DH went to his mum's yesterday and she got us a weeks worth of shopping, bless her! The problem is, WW doesn't really allow for cheap eating. We had bolognaise tonight and mince is 5 points per portion! I only have 17 a day now, I am starving! It's really difficult when you just need to eat what you have in the cupboards to save money.

That was a lovely post from Trace, well done daisy, you're a star. It's nice to feel that we make such a difference with our random wafflings.

Jammy, sorry you are still feeling ill . DD has got a cough now, and a cold, I am wondering if it coinciding with stopping bfing.

We only have the laptop here, we managed to give our old PC to a company that recycles them and sends them to poorer countries.

We are freezing here, but I am trying to hold out till after we get back from our weekend away to put the heating on.

Sputnik, I saw you had a bit of a shitty day the other day. I hope things are better now. I hope DS starts settling into nursery better. Is he having a problem with the language perhaps?

Hope you are all ok anyway

FiendishFairyFay · 23/10/2008 18:54

Sorry for shite days, pretty crap here too. It's the first time in three and a bit years of parenthood that I've been driven to wine before the Dcs were asleep. DS was in meltdown all day and DD was weeing and pooing in pants all daya again, after a week of being clean. Hey ho, tomorrow is another day and no pre-school so think we might have a tv and duvet day.

That thread from Trace was lovely. All the praise should def go to Daisy and her Dh. I just wish we could do more to help her.

Daisy, hang in there.......

FiendishFairyFay · 23/10/2008 18:54

Have a good weekend Bumper

Daisy, I've challenged you to another game of Scrabble

Ohforfoxsake · 23/10/2008 18:58

bugger am having trouble posting

hi Bumper and FFF

FiendishFairyFay · 23/10/2008 19:10

Hello Foxy. Have you got any exciting plans for half-term with your brood? I think we're just going to take it easy because DD is shattered.

JammyOLantern · 23/10/2008 19:19

Evening all. Bumper enjoy your long weekend. DH has another interview tomorrow (he's not too bothered about it, but thought he'd go for the experience) so will be working from home which will be nice here. Also, it'll be a short day to make up for his late night at work last night. So a bit of a long weekend here too

Ohforfoxsake · 23/10/2008 19:19

Don't blame you FairyFay. Its a tough time at the mo. Every child I know is knackered. Hope your DD is OK. Its not easy, is it?

We're off to the IOW tomorrow. I'm looking forward to being transported back to the '50s.

Friend coming round in a bit with a bottle of red, curry is ordered.

Ohforfoxsake · 23/10/2008 19:21

Good Lord! Les Dawson's daughter on the One Show. Must be freezing! And she's out with her mother, fancy letting her out like that [judgey judgey]

FiendishFairyFay · 23/10/2008 19:22

Sounds good foxy, have a good night, and a good trip to IOW. We went a couple of years ago and had a great time.

FiendishFairyFay · 23/10/2008 19:22

I saw that too Foxy, cleavage-tastic

Ohforfoxsake · 23/10/2008 19:22

DAISY No baby until 1st November, pleeeeeeaaaaaase I don't want to miss the birth!

JammyOLantern · 23/10/2008 19:35

My sis works in a nursery and she is saying that it's been a really long half term and that all the children are exhausted. She's coming here next week and we're meant to be going to an Abba sing-a-long but I am getting seriously doubtful if I'll be up to that.

JammyOLantern · 23/10/2008 19:36

IoW sounds good Foxy, I had a couple of fantastic holidays there as a child and would love to go back someday.

LackaDAISYcal · 23/10/2008 19:41

I'll do my best foxy

....I'm just the ideas woman!

I'm glad trace was touched by it; after the couple of years they have had it's nice to be able to do something. Poor DH got lost trying to find her house as well and didn't get there till gone 10 so it was nearly midnight when he got back to Lincs last night. He has driven back tonight and is now clearing up our tea things, has packed up his and DSs things and is driving back to Lincs tomorrow for a boys fishing trip. So I'm under strict instructions to hold this baby in until the get back on Sunday!!

Watching EE...Phil Mitchell is no bloody way mid 40s .....50 at least I'd say

Ohforfoxsake · 23/10/2008 19:44

ah, tis the scourge of the alcoholic - ruins your looks.

Ohforfoxsake · 23/10/2008 19:45

anyone know where the other half of my camera charger is? Can't find the buggering thing anywhere.

LittleMissNorty · 23/10/2008 19:48

Have a good time Foxy

DH came in kitchen to tell me about that one the 1 show....said she looked right pissed off as well.....may have to rewind the sky + and look

Right, lasange, salad and garlic bread with cheese on awaits

Sputnik · 23/10/2008 20:17

Hope you both have a good time Bumper and Foxy.

Thanks for asking about my shitty day Bumper but it was totally my own fault really.

Poor Baby Sputnik has been too poorly for the nursery anyway last 2 days, but today he actually ate some dinner and seems to have perked up, so back to the grind tomorrow.

Sputnik · 23/10/2008 20:22

BTW Bumper, DS got this cold despite bf, so it may not be related.

Fairy, sorry to hear about your shitty day, toilet training isthe pits.

FiendishFairyFay · 23/10/2008 20:34

Thanks Sputnik. I am frustrated because Ithought we had it sussed, as she was dry and clean for over a month, I just can't believe that she's regressed so much. The ridiculous thing is that she's now reliably dry at night but not during the day .

FiendishFairyFay · 23/10/2008 20:34

Glad baby Sputnik is on the mend and really hope he sttles at nursery soon, to give you a break / time to work
