holly, surveyors don't always pick up on the obvious. When I sold my flat a few years ago, the joist ends in the living room were completely rotten, such that the floor bounced if you stood looking out of the window and the new skirting board that I'd put on salied over a dip in the floor and was filled with newspaper and caulking prior to painting. A blindman on horseback should have noticed it, but no-one did.......I feel a bit that as a structural engineer I bodged it up, but it was going to cost too much money to have put right. If anyone had picked up on it, of course I would've had it fixed or knocked something off the price.

I wanted to do something similar to this site, but better(!) and with price comparisons on. I have saved all the reviews I've ever done for the various mags and sites etc. so I have a big head start there!

Facebook is about as verbal as I get nowadays.
