Come sniffle proudly with me . Just been to DD1's first Harvest Assembly. She had a speaking part (which she hadn't told me!) and looked so grown-up and so beautiful . My PFB is not a baby at all anymore and I'm so proud of her but so sad at the same time. Do you think I'll be this emotional when it gets round to Orlaith's turn??

pigleychez · 23/10/2008 20:46

Happy belated birthday Peanut

Poledra- Ah that sounds so sweet bless her. Bet you were a very proud mummy.

Had Abigail weighed today. Shes now 13 weeks and weighs 11 lbs 12ozs.
Also had her second set of injections today which she didnt like and tried to kick the nurse!
Hasnt bothered her today though as shes been a happy as Larry all afternoon. Good good.

Hope everyones had a good day and the weather has been ok where you are.

sweetkitty · 23/10/2008 22:21

Injections

I wrote this big message clicked on post and the internet died (I still hate talktalk must write complaint letter when I get the time)

Anyway I'm off to bed dog tired tonight

JODIEhadababy · 24/10/2008 08:37

Morning all,

Ahh Poledra at your DD, I was in tears last year when DS1 was in the 'nativity' at nursery, and he was only 15 months and just sat there!!!

Pigley I hate injections and I have NEVER taken either boys to theirs, but next week I have to take Sam for his and I really don't want to

Sam is 16 weeks today, a big grown up boy, it's quite sad really as he's growing so quickly and he'll be the last one, I really want him to stay small abit longer!

disneystar · 24/10/2008 12:17

poledra it dont matter how many children you have you always feel proud and emotional when they do something good or at school plays etc.....and yes you will cry again when its orlaiths turn you know i really love that name possibly the best name i have ever heard
i told my daughter it whos 35 weeks now and having a girl but its to unususal for her shes having mary-jane as im mandy-jane so we are both called mj
i cant wait for her to arrive im also her birth partner so her dp is pleased she is going oh natural i keep telling her to keep an open mind as she had a easy easy birth before but there all different arnt they
yes peanut we do share a birthday im so sorry i forgot i hope you had a good day hun hows little charlie doing?

disneystar · 24/10/2008 12:23

first memories well this is a tough one as i cant remember my childhood at all nothing not a thing not my parents vacations
i remember going to see a child shrink at about 14 and he said after many appts that i had suffered something so traumatic as a child sometimes the mind just shuts down as it has to heal
i often get feeling i have done this or that or music and it brings back feelings but its so frustrating for me but i have never explored it fully as part of me doesnt want to know if that makes sense

jadey24 · 24/10/2008 12:57

JODIEhadababy · 24/10/2008 14:32

Grace is a lovely name, that was my name for a girl (that or Emily) My 2 boys are Oliver (DS1) and Sam (DS2).

JODIEhadababy · 24/10/2008 14:32

Oh excited now, just seen the (long awaited) Halloween Smileys..

sweetkitty · 24/10/2008 16:05

hello all bloody internet was down all day again just managed to get back on waiting for Tesco's to arrive with some food.

Bethany got up at 8am today stayed awake and happy until she had a feed at 11 then went to sleep at 11.20am and that was her for 4 hours so I have had a shower, cleaned the kitchen, hoovered the house, tidied the bedrooms (not that you would know now), done the ironing, loads of washing sorted, made lunch, got the Princess castle out for the DDs and played princesses, reorganised 2 cupboards upstairs so I can hide Christmas presents, fed B when she got up now I am shattered!

I have started taking B up at 8pm after the others are in bed feeding her and putting her down, she only got up twice last night so not too bad as she's easy to get back down again.

Speaking of the dreaded C word how's everyone else doing with the Christmas shopping I would say I'm about 70% there now. Poor B all she is getting is a Gloworm and a wee toy I saw in Mamas and Papas called Bethany Butterfly I will get her a stocking and fill it with some rattles or something it's more for the other 2 to see Santa has brought her something too. I have bags of baby toys up the loft so she has everything already and friends and family will get her things too (am going to be cheeky and ask for money for her 6-9 month clothes).

Jodie - so know what you mean I want B to stay a baby for a while longer too.

disney - so your DD is calling her DD Mary-Jane partly after you as you are Mandy-Jane that very sweet. This her second baby too?

jadey - hello and welcome to our little thread, Grace very pretty name (one of my DD3's middle ones) is this your first baby, how you finding it so far?

jadey24 · 24/10/2008 17:21

Jodie - They are nice names..i like traditional names which is why i chose Grace.

Sweets - Ty. WOW 3 girls..whats that like?
So far its going ok. Like everyone i spose there is good days and bad days depending on her mood. I thought today was gonna be a bad one when i went into her room this morning and she immediatly stuck her bottom lip out soon as she saw me rather then greet me with the usuall smiles lol but thankfully she has been good as gold
She has excezma and wind/colic which did actually improve for a good couple weeks but last few days has come back with a vengence and y.day she was pritty bad with it..back on infacol.
We are very lucky here..so far coz i know how quick things can change so i am no way on earth boasting because i could very much regret it but she has pratically been sleeping though night since 7 weeks old. At first it was 5-6 hours straight then gradually became longer and now she goes bed between 10-11pm and wakes up between 8-9am without interruptions. At 7 weeks i also changed her milk to hipp organic and it was that first night on milk she slept though. C&G made her suffer.

Sorry for essay lol

xx

pigleychez · 24/10/2008 17:57

Hello all,

Hi and welcome to Jadey. Hope grace is well.
Yes we do chat abit!
Abigail used Infacol for a while too which helped. Thankfully now she pretty much burps herself.

yaaahhh... I see we have the option for Halloween smiles

SK- I too have had a manic cleaning/tidying day. Been whizzing round like a looney!

Had an Argos delivery today of xmas presents and a new drawer unit thing for the conservatory so been busy putting that together.
One of the presents delivered was a Gloworm too Sweetkitty. Not for Abigail but my little Niece Tiffany, However I showed Abigail it and she seemed to really like it so think maybe we will have to buy Tiffany another one!
I have bought a stocking for Abigail too with her name embroidered on it and have been buying little rattles and rubber ducks to fill it with

Sainsburys shoppings just been delivered, so we have yummy rolo doughnuts to scoff later! Naughty but nice

wobblingweeble · 24/10/2008 19:41

Eevening All,

CASS - mean't to mention I saw the BD Superstars a few years ago and they were 'awesome' I absolutley adore Rachel Bryce and the Gothic Tribal scene - I bought her Pentaphobe CD a few years ago - it is very dynamic. I did some tribal workshops a few years ago and had a weekend at Ford Castle with zills, veils, sticks etc - am going to go again when I can as it was great fun.

POLEDRA at your littly.

Hi JADEY [wave emoticon]

DISNEY - how is wee Sam doing post op?

We too have lots of shape sorters and baby toys so Calvin is getting some kind of rocker/ride on thing. I have bought him some bath books, baby books and a wooden rattle, clothes and will get him stuff in the January sales. He was 15lb6ozs on Monday and 65cm long! He is already in 6-9 month clothes. i got some cracking photos of him and DD tonight after their bath - took some of their feet when they were lying down on their tums together and some bum shots . i am going to fiddle about with them on the OC and make them look semi-prof if I can. I quite fancy doing a digital camera and editing course - anyone done this?

Supposed to be going to meet the ILs in Braehead shoppping centre tom -so they can see the kids and Dh will go off to Makro for bulk toilet rolls etc, I'll have a wander and sniff aorund Lush and then we were going to the dreaded IKEA to get some bookcases, shelves ect for the kids books and rooms.

Weather is supposed to be horrific though so we might postpone.

Anway enough of my inane woffling am off to flaff about on the internet for a while - decided to make some draught excluder snakes due to the inclement weather and need material for curtains too.

Take care allxxxx

wobblingweeble · 24/10/2008 19:41

PEANUT forgot to say belated HP Bday - did you get a card from Charlie?

pigleychez · 24/10/2008 20:12

WW- I too love photos and have often thought about learning more. I only use alittle digital camera, not any great flash SLR or anything but I think they turn out ok.

Ive recently uploaded some more of my "arty" pics that were taken yesterday onto my facebook page.

Abigail loves the camera and is a right little poser! A lady who was cooing over her in town last week, commented on her height and how pretty she is and said she might be a model when shes older.... well she certainly loves the camera!

disneystar · 24/10/2008 22:52
