largeginandtonic · 29/09/2008 13:10

MKG that is pretty bad i would hate it if dh did that to me.

A lesbian!!! So you are in my camp then

This might liven Monday up....

I have just spent £188 in boden all on children too. Am clearly barking.

charleymouse · 29/09/2008 13:11

Thanks the soup is delish .

Well we had big heart to heart and seem to be working things through. I just think he is having a mid life crisis (40 is beckoning) He has always wanted kids and had resigned himself to not having them until I woke up one day and said right lets do it. I think I am a better mum than I expected to be, and I think he wishes he/we were younger as he is tired a lot and gets fed up with the DCs sometimes.

We both have issues re being around for our kids as my dad died (59) 3 months before I got pregnant and his mum died (63) 3 months before DD arrived. We have probably only just started to get it together from that to be honest and obviously you know our recent history. Also from this we realise life is too short and I think this may affect him in terms of if he is unhappy for whatever reason why not just move on and be happier. Whereas I think we have been happy, we can be happy just work through the rough patches.

We have been together for 21 years this year so I also think we may have got a bit stale and we have little time for each other which we have both agreed we need to make more of an effort with. When we do have time together we are okay, we just seem to get bogged down in the humdrum of life.

Ooh goodnees me are you training for relate or something, I have gone for it here sorry. I am off it today and have not gone into work just feel I need some space to clear my head.

We are having to reorganise how we do our chores at the minute and balance out home/work life. I think we are just struggling a bit as well now I am back at work we need to regroup and get the right balance of work/leisure/me & DH time.

Sorry for rambling has he cooled down any yet?

charleymouse · 29/09/2008 13:16

Oh god missed you all as too busy typing my relate message to TMAM.

MKG I would be hopping also.

Oh gosh LG&T did not realise the time I have done nothing yet, just thought oh goodness nearly one and realised it is now past it. No wonder he wants a divorce I am an idle cow addict to MN. No not barking just a little deranged.

charleymouse · 29/09/2008 14:17

Ok my marital problems have bored you all into submission.

Themasterandmargaritas · 29/09/2008 16:14

Oooowwwww MKG, that is so very naughty of him. But it did make me chuckle to think of him thinking you were perhaps batting for the other side I must try it some day... perhaps when LG&T comes out to me for a visit

In true Mr G&T fashion I told J to man up about 3 hours ago and that seems to have done the trick. He's not eating but cooled down and is singing a lot. Now do i carry on with playgroup hosting tomorrow at mine or not????

MrsG&T, close your wallet now . Would it make you feel better to know I have just spent £168.30 on crap Christmas presents on Amazon for my poor dear friend to lug out when she visits in half term?

Charley, 21 years No wonder things get a little rusty from time to time, but bravo you two for going for so long! dh also had a mid life crisis in the run up to 40. That is how we ended up here

largeginandtonic · 29/09/2008 16:23

Oh i have more news too

DH has swopped his ship so will now be home every night till end of Feb and wont join his new ship till then!

He will be doing his big trip but not till after Easter at some point.

The relief in the Gin household is IMMENSE

Poor J, maybe just a tooth? Hold the meet anyhoo.

I have also just done the Tesco shop for the month (not including veg and fruit for last half) and that was £501...

Toooooo many children....

Themasterandmargaritas · 29/09/2008 16:45

that's great news! He will be at home getting in the way and be immensely helpful.

at the Tesco shopping, where do you keep it all? Actually I spend about £100 a week before veg and fruit so its not so far off...

Not a toof, he has them all. Dd had a bad tummy thing last week, it could be cos of that. Margaret and Elizabeth told me it was because I let him play in the cold water in the paddling pool last week Given half a chance they would have him in thermals.

MmeJaffaB · 30/09/2008 11:17

Mwahhhhhhhhhhh

BOO!

Jennyisjustknackered · 30/09/2008 13:58

Where in the name of God is everyone???? Gone to Netmums??

charleymouse · 30/09/2008 15:05

TMAM what is it with these men and their midlife crises (sp)? Shocked we have lasted this long to be fair, he should be on his third seven year itch shouldn't he?

LG&T Woo hoo for DH swapping ships, what a relief. It does look a lot for a month but is about what we do when you break it down (although forgetting my daily forays as I have forgotten something off the list) Are you using the discount codes on the money savings tip pages? I do it weekly so I can use the money off min spend each time, just have to make sure I choose the cheapest delivery slot to make it worthwhile

Afternoon Mrs JB sorry think I have frightened everyone off with my troubles

Oh dear PJ bad night again. in stylee of beastie boys.

A was up at 3:34 am and came into our bed cue DH putting lights on and shouting what's happening? Cue G waking up and needing feeding cue CM not getting back into bed until 4:35 then G waking himself up with a cough at 5:17 and CM not getting back into bed until 5:40. Am then expected to get up and do full days mumsnetting work, need sleep need sleep.

Jennyisjustknackered · 30/09/2008 15:06

L has been the model child the past few days. I think she's worried about me sending her to borstal.

charleymouse · 30/09/2008 15:41

Ooh yes I remember the threat of the naughty girls home. Sometimes I was tempted by the prospect of all that fun.

MKG · 30/09/2008 16:50

Well dh hasn't spoken to me except to tell me to go away and leave him alone for about two days now. I don't know what his problem is.

charleymouse · 30/09/2008 17:03

Tsk Men MKG Men, who needs em?

AprilMeadow · 30/09/2008 18:38

Hello ladies

Just popping into say hi!

Fantastic news LG&T on N swapping ships - what a relief for you - Dorothy need not worry about being late

MKG, MEN!!!

Charley, I hope you get a better nights sleep.

Jenny, hope L has a good night as well.

to MRSJB

Well the holiday has certainly been eventful! So first we get Ella hitting her head and not able to fly then today Jack shut his finger in the door and lost half the nail. He was in pain for a few hours and then the calpol really kicked in and now he is being brave.

Went to Wild Wadi waterpark the other day and bruised my right butt cheek going on the doughnut ride. Went shopping yesterday and all i bought was half a dozen KK's!! I sent LG&T a picture of the store

Went to the Burj al Arab today and we were sorely disappointed. Looks amazing from the outside and on first glance in the reception, but the rest of it was totally over the top and garish!

Last day tomorrow then home on Thursday.

TheGreatScootini · 30/09/2008 21:19

Yay about the boat gandt..great news.

No send me your number again Charley..Friday OK, to come to yours?Or would you rather meet at Meadowhall or somewhere (dont want to gate crash your lovely house )My Mum grew up in Loxley. She has fond memories of the Lido.Is it still there?
My DH also starting to fret about ageing and he is 30 in December, so am dreading 40 already!

at AM's lovely holiday..>>sticks fingers in ears and refuses to listen>Does a little dance emoticon

largeginandtonic · 01/10/2008 08:05

I nearly killed myself unloading all the shopping! I put all essentials away and gave up, dh came home half an hour later. The house is not that full, still need fuit and veges for the month.

The car has gone in to be MOT'd today, fingers crossed pleased!!!!

Master how is the boy? Better and not whinging too much i hope, it's the whinge that really drives me insaaaaaaane

MKG what a numpty, download some girl on girl to really wind him up

April am of the holiday, has gone so fast though! Poor J, bless him. He is a tough cookie.

Scoot drop the girls here for the day, will gladly have them Hope you get it sorted. My sil is seeing childminders (she is due the week after me) they are so short on them atm. It must be hard to find a good one. You sound very generous with your dh birthday plans. Mine will be getting what i did, sweet FA and no one around. That is acceptable apparently...

God i am grumpy today.

CM your night sounds similar to mine except i had cross dh at the begining of the evening stalk downstairs as i wanted to watch tv\read and he cant bear the light on... he then came up after i had gone to sleep huffed in to bed, got up had a drink of water (sink in our room) and by that time i was awake It took me an hour to get back to sleep through the snoring and then B woke at 348, i let him cry till 420 and hgave up. He came in with me and fidgeted till 530 before crashing. His alarm went off at 645...

I have issues this morning and may start a thread. Too many things zooming around in my head. Family and the twins dad being a royal pain in the arse. Am fed up.

Themasterandmargaritas · 01/10/2008 08:36

bring your issues here my lovely. Let us sort them....

The boy is still not quite himself, his fever was down yesterday but up again in the middle of the night. We have finished a whole bottle of calpol in 2 days. However, in true J fashion, there is not a whinge coming out of him. He is not eating. But frankly it might slim him down Today is Eid (end of Ramadahn) so it is a public holiday. If he is still not well tomorrow I may take him to the docs.

MKG, god anyone would think you had looked at his emails.

Sorry April about the wee fella, but pmsl at the KK's.

Scoot, what is up with L? Hope you find someone to look after the pair of them today.

largeginandtonic · 01/10/2008 10:40

Have posted in relationships. Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Poor J, some indiscriminate bug just to ruin his week. The doc will just say "oooooh it's a virus" you know he will

MmeJaffaB · 01/10/2008 10:46

It's a virus.... you know it!! Virus is not even a real thing, it's just some fancy name for "feck knows" that medics around the world came up with. Poor J though, hope he feels better soon.

lg&t, you sound like you are doing and thinking and taking on too much.... NO early arrivals pleaseµ. Slow down. Off to see your thread.

Mum and Dad have gone away. 3 and a bit weeks!!!!!!!!! woo hooo we are a family!

Dubai!!

JamInMyWellies · 01/10/2008 11:43

LG&T have jsut posted on you thread lovey.

Well tis been a very quiet few days on here.

Charley glad to hear you are getting somewhere with your DH. 21yrs bravo you.

PJ whats going on with L?

SCOOT your DH is a v lucky man.

MKG bloody men he needs a sodding good kick up the arse.

TMAM how is poor old J?

MRSJB woohoo paaaarty!

Well its been non stop in the jammy houshold. I am seriously knackered all I can say is never take a toddler to a wedding. Although he was good it was really hard work J was busy doing groomsman stuff so had to do it all on my own and unfortunatley the reception was being held in the brides parents garden which had a gradient like Ben Nevis so I spent the entire afternoon running up and down the garden stopping him from rolling down the stairs into a very lavish cake at the bottom. Also my parents who were due to pick him up at 5 turned up at 7 by which time I wanted to leave too. Was vv We eventually got home at midnight after I had left the house at 8am. Cream crackered.

Anyway enough of my whinging.

toodle pip for now.

AprilMeadow · 01/10/2008 12:18

Poor j TMAM, I hope that he is back in tip top form very soon

LG&T, i will arrange a nice afternoon where i can come over - without my 2 - and feed you tea and cakes

Jennyisjustknackered · 01/10/2008 12:50

L is fine thanks Jam. As am I.

As you were.

largeginandtonic · 01/10/2008 12:59

Nah, bring the kids. Mine will love the company.

SOH i know you are here...

Jenny is the child still on form?

Jam sounds like hell, now multiply that by 6 and it will be me next summer. In a posh hotel Nooooooooooooooooo.

Jennyisjustknackered · 01/10/2008 13:01

The child is being lovely at the moment. Makes me slightly uneasy, if I'm honest.
