Hey ladies
MESSAGE FROM CAZBOLDY
(It's her birthday today btw)
"It's dp's first day at his new job tomorrow. Back as soon as I can x Missing you all!"

I asked if new house and everything were ok and she said "yes, lovely thanks"

pillockofthecommunity · 31/08/2008 23:13

And had a
MESSAGE FROM ECA
that I forgot to pass on a few weeks ago (16th July to be exact!)
"Hey love. Thanks for the text. So busy at the mo, finish work this week and move in 3 weeks. Not even any time to lurk on MN!! Hoep everyone's doing ok x x"

now texting her again cos they must be in their new house now!

pillockofthecommunity · 31/08/2008 23:14

Just a quick post to say see you all on friday, we're off soon. Just a few more things to shove into bags

Good luck to those whose children start school this week will be thinking of you all

mammyjo · 01/09/2008 10:16

Have a fab time Eddas

Ds back in school tomorrow, looking forward to it tbh, it's been a long and very wet six weeks.
I am miserable. Dh pissed me off big time on the weekend, realises he has upset me, but is choosing to completely ignore it. I really don't want to be in the same house as him at the moment. F%$king men

CaptainDippy · 01/09/2008 10:30

Thanks or being so brill and keeping us upt-to-date POTC - how's you??

Have a fab time Eddas

I am in the "f!*&ing men" camp myself atm. DH & I not good at all

elkiedee · 01/09/2008 12:00

Sorry MJ and CD that your dhs aren't being very darling at the moment. (Does mn need a new abbreviation for such situations?)

After admitting I don't seem to feel as sick at this stage as I did last time, I'm feeling icky today (19 weeks).

Sexonlegs · 01/09/2008 12:07

Morning

Just a quickie.

Eddas, you have porbably gone, but hope you have a fab holiday!!

MJ/Dippy, you are having issues with your dh's. I'll say it again .... they are on a different planet!!!!! Hope you are both ok. xx

POTC, thanks for the updates

mammyjo · 01/09/2008 13:34

Hi SOL Was lovely to meet you all too. E had a fab day, has B's pottery eventually dried?!!

Dh is just getting on my nerves. Why do they seem to think they can be vile, but then we are just supposed to forget about it. I am not a person to hold a grudge or go on and on about an argument, but I expect to be treated with a little respect. I am not an idiot, and do not expect to be spoken to like one. Sorry, rant over!

JellySnakes · 01/09/2008 13:36

Fancied a name change, was just eating a bag of jelly snakes, hence the inspiration!!

JellySnakes · 01/09/2008 13:36

It's MJ btw

Doobydoo · 01/09/2008 15:58

M decided to hold breath when tried to get him in carseat after dropping F off this morning. So hdp had to drive whilst I had M on my lap in back!Which we cannot do again.Really don't know how to deal with it at these times.
Dp back at work today to get last pay check etc.
Lovely and sunny here.

Doobydoo · 01/09/2008 15:59

JellySnakes · 01/09/2008 16:00

Dooby, so lovely that ds1 enjoyed school

runnyhabbit · 01/09/2008 18:38

Evening all

Back to some kind of normailty here, after our week at home. So dh has only just left Brixton, so I'm doing bath/bed solo.

MJ & CD - at your dh. There is def something in the air with men, generally. Friend in work has had major trouble with her oh, to point they nearly seperated. And even she has said that he is acting like nothing has happened. My dh seems to think that I am psychic, ie he can talk a complete load of crap and I'm meant to know exactly what he's on about. He talked about getting this iPhone earlier last week. We all went out on Thursday, and he said he was just popping into the o2 shop. 2hrs later, me, J & W were still wandering around, because he was signing up to one. Then he wondered why I was pissed off. If I'd have known thats why he wanted to go out, I would've stayed at home

Sorry, that turned into bit of a rant

PillockOfTheCommunity · 01/09/2008 19:10

Hi
We're ok
Had a fab day off work today, got tomorrow off too, went out all day today and same planned for tomorrow.
M starts school on Wednesday, I'm going into work while he's there, but only to collect my laptop and go out for lunch as I've got that day off too

Why is it always those of us that should know better that end up sunburnt?!

CaptainDippy · 01/09/2008 19:12

Deary me!

photos going on facebook .......

mamiguay · 01/09/2008 20:36

evening! It's a drive-by posting from me (again..)to say to leaky!!! Congrats! (mentalists the lot of you )

going to dublin this weekend, can anyone advise what kind of clothing may be needed (apart from umbrellas, wellies, pram raincover et etc)? You never know, I may make it back on here to check replies before friday!

btw - how many nappies to your nurseries get through? We use real nappies and they always got on fine with 1 clean one on him and 2 spare and have asked now for 3 spare. It's not a bother and of course I'd rather they had them than not but doesn't 4 nappies seem a lot to get through in 6 hours? And he sleeps from 1-3 so if he arrives at 9am in a clean nappy are they really changing him twice before 1pm (I know they change him when he wakes up before handing him to dh)???

Sorry, random thought of the night. Siigh.. it's 9.30 here and within the hour I'll be snoring so going to slob on the couch for a bit. We are going to get a new mac though so MNetting evenings WILL BE BACK

Kisses to you all (ESPECIALLY Ellie )

PillockOfTheCommunity · 01/09/2008 20:46

Our nursery have set times they change them whether they need it or not, I think 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5.30pm (usually after a meal/snack)
but obviously they alter that if they need to.

Maybe they want them just-in-case? If he has a dodgy tummy or something while he's there they might need the extra? Or if he gets wet playing it might go through to the nappy?

As for Dublin - firstly, WHY did you not tell us before so we could all arrange to terrify greet you???
I'd say raincoats and wellies, and unless you're feeling particularly risque you might want to take clothes to wear under them

leakyR · 01/09/2008 20:47

Evening ladies

Hope all first days at school and imminent first days go well.

My little man is poorly, he's had a cold, and is now a bit hot, dribbly and spotty. He's not his usual whirlwind self and has been very clingy. Not that I'm feeling very energetic myself. Mostly watched dh do housework today. He also did ironing for our trip to Switzerland on Wednesday. He's been lovely since we found out I'm pg.

MIL told us today that dh's uncle in Switzerland has just been diagnosed with prostate cancer. He has to have an op mid-September but the prognosis is good. She just wanted us to know before we saw him.

I'm off to see the doctor tomorrow, so I'll let you know about dates etc.

Thanks to home birthers for the encouragement. Think we will go for it. Even dh doesn't look terrified at the thought.

Have a good evening

StealthPolarBear · 01/09/2008 20:53

hi everyone

PillockOfTheCommunity · 01/09/2008 20:54

meant to say, Congrats Leaky

exciting, exciting, exciting!

Hi SPB

elkiedee · 01/09/2008 21:32

Ooh Leaky, I hope you get your homebirth. I never would have dreamt of having one first time round but now I just think it sounds like such a nice idea. I'm just convinced that I'll end up with every intervention going, even more than last time. At one point last year both Living 2 and Discovery Home and Health kept showing series about home birth - one episode featured someone who is on mn, having dc5 I think - dc6 was born in March 2007.

Sexonlegs · 01/09/2008 22:17

Evening all.

POTC, get some after sun on you you daft lass !

Elkie, sorry you are still feeling yuk. You and Ooogs seem to be suffering deadfully. The tip of the day today suggested something to do with lemons as a cure for morning sickness - I think it was dig your nails in to one and sniff them????

Leaky, your poor family seem to be going through some bad times Hope yu have a lovely trip to Switzerland and that G is better soon.

Maveta, have a fab time in Dublin!

MJ, how are you this evening? Dh still being an arse??? B's pottery has dried, but we need to get it glazed???

Dooby, so pleased that your ds had a good day today - must be a relief.

Erm..... brain emptied.

First day back at work today, and whilst I wasn't looking forward to it, it was actually really lovely being back. I also found out that I got a 1k bonus!!!

Have an awful headache and period pain. I have been on Yasmin (pill) for a couple of months and so far have have mid-cycle bleeding, painful boobs and these awful headaches. Methinks I am going to bin the rest of them!

K has learnt to climb up and slide down the little slide we have in our back garden. She was so chuffed with herself bless her.

Right, need my bed, so catch up tomorrow.

Love and kisses to those who accept them
