Hi all.
I had a fab day out with SOL, her dh and her lovely dd's!
We met at a heritage park which really didn't look anything from the outside, but is was great for the dc's and they all seemed to enjoy themselves.
She was so lovely and it was great to put another face to a name!

Hope everyone is ok, I am working for the next two days (it is my birthday on Thursday and I wanted the day off but my mad mate in work counted the days wrong and gave me Friday off instead!). May not be back until Friday. See you all soon xxx

Happy bday for thurs MJGlad you had a good day.
Hope you are feeling ok Dippy?
M came into sitting room earlier jabbering and pointing so dp followed him into kitchen where M pointed at choc muffin.Dp said no[it was for ds1]Then we heard the sound of a chair being dragged across the kitchen towards the muffin[on cooker]M just laughed. All this M did naked except for a pair of sunglasses
Then later he whacked ds1 with a golf club.Dp told him off and he tried to climb onto me.I said no he had been naughty so he decided to scream and then hold his breath and pass out!Great.I think he was tired and is abit poorly but it is so scary.
Have a good eve all.x

Thanks for the welcome Ladies - I;ve added myself onto the stats & babies list (thanks for the links eddas) - i'm 35 now and live in Cirencester, Gloucs. DS was born at GWH in swindon on 20th April 07. (it seems so long ago)

Seems like everyone had a good BH on the whole - had a quietish one as we've been away a lot recently, ended up with DS having a sky high temp on monday evening which he still has - doesn't seem anything wrong with him only sukcing his fingers occassionally and he's been on antibiotics for a chest infection since last wed. Luckily DH volunteered to stay at home with him for the last 2 days as he has more hol left than me - only trouble is that DS only wants daddy now

Car boots & charity shops are great for toys - we got DS the ELC garage the other week for a fiver in the red cross shop - it £37.50 in the catalogue - what a bargain and he loves it - £30 in my pamper-me fund!!

I am shattered. A night sleeping in the same room as dd & ds has worn me out. So glad they don't sleep in my room normally

Hello again! 2 posts in a week - I'm on FIRE

Having a quiet moment at work before the madness sets in and popped in to check on a language thread I'd started so thought I'd say hi to my favourite MNers while I was at it.

Forgot how even the most innocuous (or so I thought) question on MN can raise strong reactions from people .

N had his MMR last week so has been a wee bit off colour this week, very mild temp, dodgy tummy and off his food. All seems perfectly normal to me but of course dh, the eternal drama queen, is plagued by worry that his (let's be honest, rather chubby) son is going to waste away overnight

Loved the story about M and the muffin dooby

Catch you all later x

hi mg, lovely to see you again bless your dh for worrying

is it really only 8.50

nearly time for ds' nap

when i got home last night dh had a bandaged wrist, turns out he had a nasty fall off his bike on his way home from work on tuesday but hadn't told me as he didn't want me to worry. He said he very nearly got run over but the man in the car swerved and missed him. He then stopped and was very suprised to see dh get up virtually unharmed He said he was ready to ring an amubulance i'm lucky that dh has got very hard bones!! The only thing he's ever broken was a couple of ribs in a football match and even then he finished the match and didn't go to A&E until monday morning, match was saturday The accident was caused by his bike chain coming off, no cars involved. I do worry about him cycling everyday but what can we do? I can't walk dd/ds to preschool and I need the car for work, it's far too far. I'd lvoe to be able to afford 2 cars. It would make everything just that little bit easier. Maybe one day

Sorry that turn into a longer post than I thought it would
