Morning all

After Friday's mammoth dog poo collection there is yet another pile this morning. Have managed to lauch a la DH style it over the hedge as all the piles I put just through the hedge are still there-yuk! Have been to Homebase and got chicken wire and all being well dad is coming to put it up all round the garden on Friday. Problem is these pesky dogs manage to get through the smallest of gaps under the leylandi hedge so dad will have to cut lots of small pieces. If this doesn't stop them AIBU to put razor wire on top? Barbed wire maybe? Electric current? The end of my stressed year and a half of poo collecting could be nearly over. Tis really getting me down. The neighbour heard me scream get out and poo in your own garden on Friday when all 3 came in and dad shouted you can get your shovel and clean up this shit your dogs have left. Dad never swears. Was hoping they would think it was DH and come round and apologise but no.

Scream-have looked up Feverfew and you can't take it if PG (not BTW) but will be most definitely trying this after next possible baby.

flick-you are doing so well coordinating shows and looking after a baby and toddler. Respect!

Impy-hope things are better a la casa Impy. Sophie is just so easy even when she has a paddy. I can bring her out of it just by changing the subject. However, Emma was and still is very difficult so understand both sides of the coin IYKWIM.

Annie-think you passed your lurgy to me virtually. Hope you can speak now. Haven't lost my voice-yet. Sophie is awake coughing all night which keeps me awake.

Bloss, agalch, Beadmum, ceebee, Pixel, Rhinestone et all. Hope you are doing OK.

Have been roped in to be a helper on the school trip to see Jack and the Beanstalk in December. Bit nervous as never helped before.

Better get on, lovely ironing on the agenda and then more searching through Christmas catalogues for ideas. Need to start shopping as that too is weighing heavily on my poor head.

Laters!

Ooh Spin, how spooky! And surreal! Ch is so brave!!

HC, so sorry to hear you're not very well, hope Sophie gets well and Emma doesn't get it too. My voice is back, though still husky.
I was a big hit at the church Welcome Lunch, with all my signing...
Is there just a hedge between you and your neighbours? It might be worth putting up a fence? You will still get the stench I guess, but at least it's not on your property. And if it's their side, just present them with the bill...

Didn't get to go out Saturday night, I was too full of it. I didn't want to pass it on to my pg friend and her little boy.

On the mend though, still coughing a bit and still plenty of mucous!! Laaaavely!
Took the babes to play group this morning, and they're still a bit coldy, but much better than last week. Mimi didn't want to go, though she was ok walking there, chatting away. Then when we got there she was ok for about a minute, but then I think it dawned on her again (she hadn't been since two weeks ago) and she latched onto me and cried her eyes out til I was gone. When DH picked her up she cried again... so she's still not a happy bunny going there. Joey was oblivious to it I think

As he was last night when she screamed her tits off for about an hour when she didn't want to go to bed. I eventually rocked her to sleep, she was still gulping for about 10 minutes after I laid her down.
BUT THEN! THEN! She slept through! Til 7am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooooooo Hooooooooo!!
So quite a mixture really. 2nd time in her life...

Well, the in-laws behaved themselves anyway. We didn't really get much time to ourselves, as none of us were very well but they did all the entertaining. So the only really communication I had with my children for about 4 days was the bad stuff - changing nappies, stopping them spitting (), stopping them hitting each other... sigh... but still.

Well best go, Inspection at work tomorrow, think it's all in order!!

TheGoddessBlossom · 21/10/2008 21:32

evening all. Have read all posts.

SSS - spooky indeed, how Halloweeny! Bless Chili and his music dream and presenting you with your butterfly patch. Roshi is a proper handful isn't she. She reminds me of a my friend's little girl in your descriptions. Jessica rules the world as far as I can see, and I can't help totally loving her for it. She is of course not mine though so I can admire from arms length..

HC - what can I say re poo. My biggest sympathies.

Flick - well done re show. That was mean of your DH to make you listne to him screaming down the phone.

Annie - yay re sleep through, boo re lurgy. Hugs.

Having been seemingly an effortless boy to potty train, Toby now seems to be completely not bothered about whether he wees in his pants or on the potty. He can (and does) go 5 days on the trot with zero accidents, and then wees randomly in his pants without bothering to ask. I can't figure it out. He has 2 accidents a day roughly at nursery, and rarely at home with me. I think it's just that I am paying it so much attention when I am with him, and at nursery it's all too busy and he is too absorbed. Hard to know why really.

I have had two days intensive sales training in London so far this week. This job is seriously full on. DH has had to do all the nursery pick ups and drop offs so far this week which he has found a bit of a shock. Working from home tomorrow thank god, but then back into london again Thursday. Roll on my holiday.

Harry is hilarious and very naughty at the same time currently. I do put it down to just natural boyish idiotitus though, but it's so hard when everyone is so tired...

Flick how is Jacob getting on with his specs? Toby wears his fine, and I still patch him for 3 hours a day about 3 days a week. Have an appt next Monday which I expect will be to discuss his operation date....

Have hideous hideous cystitus which I can't seem to shift. Have done two boxes of sachet drinks, two cartons of cranberry juice....been quite difficult being stuck in a training room for two days having to duck out to the loo all the time and it's so painful! Pure blood last night! haven't had it for years.....

RIght, sorting washing then bed for me.

Love to all

Bloss

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 21/10/2008 22:11

Oh Bloss, ouch to cystitis. You might need a trip to the Drs-not had it that bad before and it was bad enough.

PixelPumpkinHerder · 21/10/2008 22:48

ooh Bloss that doesn't sound good - yes, get ye to the docs!

Hi to all , sorry am a bit behind again, still got parents staying...

Will catch up properly soon, in the meantime big waves to everyone xxx

Morning girls.

All bunged up today and coughing like a 40-a-dayer... Still at work though! I thought it'd be easier than being at home. All day to Mumsnet! And avoid going near the mozzies in case the inspectors get me.

HC, hope your feeling better. I'm sorry to say if it's the same thing I've had, it'll be weeks... Any more poo?

Bloss, agree with the others, sounds like you need some medicine.
Still a disaster with toilet training too in our house, though Mimi is managing to get to the potty now for a poo as she announces it, but Joey is still very hit and miss, if he doesn't need to go, he's very adamant that IT'S NOT COMING! and then he'll do one five seconds later. DH is dispairing. I've told him get them both back in nappies, but he won't give up.

Right, more tea.

SSS - LOL at your immediate leap to Ovarian cancer (now that I know it isn't of course)! Can totally relate to the "DOITMYSELLLLLF!" demands. "Green Light" I gaily shout as we sail through the traffic lights, "NO I SAY GREEN LIGHT!!!" "Ok darling you say it"......1 minute pause....."Green light!" Sigh. He goes mental if Harry says it too. Car journeys can be tough.

I called the docs this morning, got to go to the surgery and pick up a sample pot and pres for ABs, is it wrong that I see it as yet another thing to do? I seriously doubt the sample will eve make it back to the doctors, although I will try to fill the prescription at least.

Day at home today, jeez, have not stopped. In my previous job (where I did feck all) I spent all day on MN, can barely grab 2 secs to read your posts!

Love being busy though, so won't moan.

Byeeeeeee

ceebee74 · 23/10/2008 08:25

Just checking in - all is well in the Ceebee household Am now 35 weeks and just want this baby OUT now!! I can't bend down, can't get comfy in bed, am waddling round like a duck blah blah blah A woman on my AN thread had twins yesterday (the first November babies) so it is all becoming VERY real all of a sudden

spin - I can totally relate to the 'Josh do it' syndrome - it is so frustrating! He likes to assert his independence when getting dressed so it goes something like this.....

Me about to put his vest on, Josh says 'Josh do it' so I give him the vest. A minute later, he can't do it so he gives it me back saying 'mummy do it'. I go to put his top on, Josh says 'Josh do it' so I give him his top. A minute later he can't do it so he gives it me back saying 'mummy do it' and so on...... you get the picture!!

Bloss - hope the AB's work - I used to get cystitis a lot but never as bad as you have described - ouch ouch!! Lol at work - you seem to have gone from one extreme to another!!

Flick - well done on the Show - I bet it was hard work. A bit for you that your DH felt it necessary to ring you so you can listen to Jacob sobbing - not what you need at all!! Any more photos of Sam to look at??

Annie - I also appear to have developed the cough of a 40-a-dayer - have had a cold for a week now and it doesn't seem to be clearing up. Got the day off work today, Josh is at nursery and DH is in Birmingham so I think I may spend a lot of today in bed

Hope you all have a good day

thefortbuilder · 23/10/2008 13:45

hi just checking in

show was bloody hard work but a success and yes at dh for that phone call... bang goes my weekend in NY next summer (we are going to HK in september now) unless I take jacob with me, which i guess i could do - that might be quite fun! he'd love that i think...

we also have lots and lots of jacob do it in this house, and also is anyone else's lo being super clingy at the moment? he just wants to cuddle mummmmmeeeeeeeeeee all the time which is lovely and all but not when i'm having a wee or trying to cook dinner

back later - will soon finish my mammoth holiday report

OP posts:
ImpyChica · 23/10/2008 19:51

Hi all

Blimey Bloss - hope you're feeling better - peeing blood sounds horrific. Poor thing...

LOL at Roshi Spin - thank you for sharing her fairground ride craziness! And melt at Ch's handiwork - what a darling!

Hope you're feeling better too Annie. I was off work today with a flu thing. Aching all over etc. I never used to get so frequently ill before having Ry...

Nearly there now CB! I'm just as excited as you (ok, maybe not quite!) - can't wait to see the pix!

They've been trying to potty train Ryan this week at his nursery - cue bags of damp clothes and even shoes returned every day... Not going well! He doesn't seem at all interested in going for it. Oh well!

Aside from that he has a big on-going romance at nursery - twin girls in his class, who he has grown up with. Apparently at nap time he and Claudia snuggle up together and like to dine together too. But apparently when Claudia can't be bothered with him, he'll turn his attentions to her sister Rebecca! Such a Don Juan...

Well hugs to all and hope everyone, me included, gets over aches, pains and UTIs...

Impy xxx

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 23/10/2008 21:17

cool, halloween smileys

Impy, Ryan soooooooooooooooooooo cute!!

Bloss, same as Toby, both of mine insist on saying certain things, and they each have their own door to close on the way in, WOE BETIDE anyone who tries to shut their door...
Hope you are feeling betterer, have you heard back from the STI clinic doctor's?

CB, HC, Spin, hope ye're all feeling better.
I'm a bit better but still hacking away. I went to Pilates today, as I promised to take one of the newies, and then she couldn't get in cos she hadn't registered, so I went 'all by my own' (quote Mimi) and feel much better for it.
Looking forward to my glass of Merlot tonight!

She woke twice last night. Never heard her the second time, so DH went in. Then up at 7am. Much better! Getting into bed is more relaxing now, cos I'm not expecting to have to get out again straight away!!

We were backing back from the library/Sainsbury's yesterday, Mimi had just fallen asleep in the pram and :
Joey: Look at those big houses Mammy
Me: Yes they're nice aren't they?
Joey:Can we live in a big house Mammy?
Me:Yes, one day, but we need to get more money first
Joey:How do we get more money Mammy?
Me:Well, Mammy goes to work, Daddy could go to work, what else do you think we go do?
Joey:We could make a coin-maker!
Me:
Joey:Then we could have enough money and buy a big house!
Me:
Joey:Maybe HoHoHo could bring us one.
Me:

Sorted! Santa is going to bring us a coin maker so we can make enough money to live in a big house. Roll on Christmas!!

Have a lovely weekend all

hc - sorry to hear that for you

bloss - hope youre better

impy - lol at ryan, what a charmer

I was at midwife for booking in appt on thur, she asked me if i was thinking about elective cs, i said i wasnt sure yet but more than likely, was shocked she was really nice about it and told me i would meet with consultant at approx 28-34 weeks to discuss. cb, what happening with you? i remember you mentioning this early on in your pg.

Stress of the week/month/year is the inlaws After walking out on us in march after we asked why they hadnt visited in 5 weeks (without answering our question) and having had no contact from them since, not even a card on charlottes birthday. We caved in and called them last week inviting them round to sort things out, they basically shouted at me and were horrible until dh announced the pg (not quite the way you envisage announcing a happy occasion), then they tried to be nice which i dont buy as they behave so fake and lied many times, (obviously forgot theyd told us different stories for things in the past) i cannot stand them now but have agreed to be there for dh to try and make a go of it but he has no respect left for them either and wanted to have nothing to do with them, for the sake of him having a relationship left with his brothers (they cant see past their m&d) we've decided to try and just have hour visits once a month and see how it goes, i feel charlotte isnt worse off not knowing them and am fed up of all the misery but feel we should try this, arrgg am so sick of it all

sorry about the rant ladies, just had to get it off my chest

goodnight xx

HumphreysCauldronCorner · 25/10/2008 21:02

Oh Beadmum, you just don't need this at all especially when PG. They need to get a grip! Put you, DH and Charlotte first.

HCC
x

ceebee74 · 25/10/2008 21:49

Beadmum - HC is right, you really don't need this right now but I realise you have to do what you have to do. Hour visits monthly seems like a reasonable compromise and if it doesn't work them stop!

As for my birth, you are right - I am hoping for an elective cs aswell after having an emergency one with Josh. Have seen the doctor early on (about 16 weeksish?) and they said there was no medical reason for one but I have decided it would be my preference. Am seeing the consultant on Tuesday for the 'final' consultation and hopefully I can be strong enough to stand up for what I want. I will let you know how it goes and give you any tips )

Hope you are all having a good weekend - off to bed now ready for the 5.30 waking tomorrow morning - fecking clocks going backwards

Hello everyone.

Ive not had chance to catch up wih you all for ages. Ive been busy with work, college and making cakes for everyone and then seem to spend my evenings on the internet looking at cakes!

Glad everyone is ok and the potty training has gone well(dont think im going to do ds until xmas) He is as are all the others by the looks of it trying to be independent and insists on doing it all himself and having huge tantrums then when he cant do it

His speech is now really good and he says 5 word sentences and copies everything you say.
Ceebee- Good luck for babay number 2.

I shall try and get on here more often as I have missed you all.
Bye

Beadmum · 26/10/2008 19:42

aww thanks for your support ladies
went for visit to inlaws today, stayed for an hour, they were incredibly false and all focus was on charlotte so we didnt have to do any chatting, just glad they didnt have an attitude this time and finally gave charlotte the attention she has deserved as their granddaughter. all in all it was bearable, could cope with that once a month, i think, will see how it goes.

cb - good luck with the consultant on tuesday, be strong, its your body
