Oh that isn't good enough. You have a newborn baby. They should be fitting you in for a quick check. Have you tried asking the mw to come today? (My episiotomy was infected 5 days post ds, and it was truly awful)

Other than that, how is life with 2 children?

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/10/2008 14:31

Have got a cancellation appt at 5:30 .

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/10/2008 14:34

And life with 2 has been good today, as dd has been at school .
Think it will be a lot harder once dh back at work. But a lot easier if ds learns to sleep in a crib/basket/pushchair/anywhere that isn't attached to me!

mustrunmore · 14/10/2008 14:37

Lol. you've got no chance! Have you forgotten that babies are just little parasites?!

Jas · 14/10/2008 14:40

Glad you're being seen today.

lol@ mrms maternal instincts

mustrunmore · 14/10/2008 17:38

I like holding new ones for about 5 mins, I'll concede that much
And of course I'm maternal; I've let ds1 have a friend over to play tonight

CantSleepWontSleep · 14/10/2008 18:09

Confirmed as boils. Apparently more susceptible to stuff like this because of the diabetes. Now have a week of antibiotics, but will hopefully start to feel a bit better in a day or two.

Flamesparrow · 14/10/2008 18:42

gah for boils

OP posts:
EachPeachPearMum · 14/10/2008 20:02

for boils- sounds nasty.

EachPeachPearMum · 14/10/2008 20:18

OoH- meant to say hi to Meridian too- I frequently lurk on your blog - you make lovely things!

meridian · 14/10/2008 20:52

csws- sorry should have said congradulations too! erm but not about the boils obviously! and hope they clear up for you.. all I got when I had DS (nearly 5 years ago eek) was the flu with a high fever, and delierium that was fun...

jas- I will tell frizbe you said hi .

eachpeachpearmum- thanks for lurking... you can leave a comment or email me anytime if you like .. I don't come on mumsnet too often now.. its all very wierd and stroppy.

goodnight everyone I will tell frizbe she is missed. oh and frizbe's DD1 is on the mend the antibiotics are working and she is feeling much better.

Frizbe · 15/10/2008 10:34

Hi Guys have managed to get into work and get 5 mins on computer to catch up! CSWS watch your post! I've finally managed to post you a card congratulations, though as per Meridian, not on the boils.....will look at your photos in a mo too!

MRM at your parenting instincts too.

Dd1 at school again today, they wanted her back after 48 hrs, as she should be non infectious by now apparently and lets face it, she's ok now that they drugs have kicked in, boy do I wish the dr's had been open at the weekend......all that ear ache, up Fri, Sat and Sun night, dh away, twas not a nice experience.

Macca! where have you been?!

EachPeachPearMum · 16/10/2008 12:41

Friz- they never get ill until friday pm, do they?
I always did that when little (loads of tonisilitis) and dd always does it now.

CantSleepWontSleep · 16/10/2008 13:36

Got your card thank you Friz .
Got your parcel too thank you mrm .

mustrunmore · 17/10/2008 09:55

Hope you appreciated ds1's card; it took a while to convince him that the new baby wouldnt really want spiderman or the hulk drawn by him!

mustrunmore · 17/10/2008 21:25

Just ran 12km Crap carap time, but very happy that I'm gettin my distances back up!

Jas, what you doin half trm? Ds1 wants to go to Ikea creche with yr dd's!

Jas · 18/10/2008 11:15

Umm, possibly in Bham Wed-Fri, and out Tuesday. Not sure about Monday...Weekend any good?

EachPeachPearMum · 18/10/2008 12:22

Umm, Jas- Bham?
Want to meet-up?

Jas · 18/10/2008 12:24

Yes please.

I won't get there til Wed evening, and am mainly there to visit my mate (who I haven't seen in about 4 years), but would be free sometime thursday/friday.

She is taking time off work and putting us up, but we aren't doing definite trips out except possible trip into town, so I can see if there is anything left that I recognise....

mustrunmore · 18/10/2008 14:12

First wekend, mil coming (and so I've got some work for about 10hrs!!), last weekend, poss going to see friend without the boys, but depends as she's very very morninig sick!

Jas · 18/10/2008 14:21

Is he off the following Monday? Mine have an inset day and we have no plans then....

EachPeachPearMum · 18/10/2008 21:33

Great! What dates are your half term? They may be different to ours....
Are you all coming up?

Jas · 18/10/2008 21:52

Last week of October....30th and 31st.

Jas · 18/10/2008 21:56

Sorry, posted a bit too soon there. All being me and 3 dc? Yes. DP will be working.

The dds are easy enough to entertain with toddler toys tbh. DD2 will play with much younger children really well, and dd1 thinks she is an adult!
DS, on the other hand.....

You may prefer to meet in a park!

EachPeachPearMum · 18/10/2008 22:45

LOL! We have a really nice park very close to our house actually- of course, it may well be utterly freezing by then!
Um, just checked my diary, and I am actually on a 2 day course on those dates it has however been cancelled/postponed 3 times already, so I will check on monday whether or not it is going ahead (it's an external company running it)
Otherwise, you could come for evening meal... and DH will have to cook
Don't worry- he's good at roast dinner etc!(are any of you veggie?)
