Well, on the stalking front, I have just 'followed' CSWS to a present thread and discovered the most gorgeous website for toys- Ticketyboo.... am going to get DD's presents all sorted extra early for christmas & birthday, just in case.

Phoenix · 29/08/2008 22:58

Oh i'm not even looking at it, i'll end up buying something and dh will go mad

aibufortmiiyswim · 29/08/2008 23:44

It took me ages to work out what that name said

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/08/2008 12:53

Is Jas back today? Hope that you had a great time if you are, and that you managed not to spend too much.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/08/2008 12:58

Thread for mrm .

Jas · 31/08/2008 16:02

Got back last night, thanks for remembering

We had a lovely time, apart from the 12 hours in the car at the beginning and end!
Not too much spent

I've read the thread, but mostly seems to be referring to other threads I don't know about, so I won't comment.

MRM, your reasonsd for not wanting the job are all perfectly acceptable, but I kind of agree with csws that the interview experience is never a bad thing, and you could always turn down the job if you were offered it, giving you a nice confidence boost at the same time.

CantSleepWontSleep · 31/08/2008 20:30

Yay for lovely holiday. But you missed our summer whilst you were away .
Rained so hard very suddenly this evening that we had buckets full of water in in minutes, and had to call builder out, who went up on roof with dh with lots of extra tarpaulin to sort it out. Hopefully dry for the night now, and they will sort out something more substantial tomorrow, as rain is forecast for the whole week. Joy!

mustrunmore · 31/08/2008 20:38

Er, yes Flame, I did do Mums! Was fine. Time from drop off townn to mums town was 32 mins, then a cab([shock}at a tnner for that) Did not-alot while there. Foot really rellay achy now.

Trying desperaltely to find some crutches so I can stil ldo my 5km run on 7th; hosp donr lend them out, Red Cross only sells not hires There's no way I can do 5km without at the moment. I can walk ok, ubt I'd like to at least speed walk it, and I couldnt walk that far the moment tbh.

Jas · 31/08/2008 21:39

mrm, at your poor foot. Have you considered resting it at all? 5k walk doesn't sound like a good idea, even with crutches (that you could hire at the shop at the end of the next road to me, as it happens).

EachPeachPearMum · 31/08/2008 21:55

Hi Jas- Glad you had a good holiday... welcome back to autumn!

mrm- hope your pain eases up soon.

CSWS- for rain in house- its really crappy isn't it?

EachPeachPearMum · 31/08/2008 21:55

_

Jas · 31/08/2008 22:04

I know we missed summer....it was yesterday, while we were in the car with no air conditioning....

__

[gri n] I can do that, too.

Jas · 31/08/2008 22:04

Can't do a proper though

mustrunmore · 01/09/2008 09:19

Er, am I supposed to be able to do this line thing? I'm scanning thread ans missing all the vital points.

I got crutches off ebay for as tenner, so can do the Hyde Park 5km afrer all

Going to beqch today; really stuck as to how to avoid sand in my bandage. Cant wear trainers or flat shoes, only heels (takes pressure off the sore bit for some reason) And also only have one pr of shoes, which I need for my interview on Thurs, so cant mes sthem up on the beach!

csws, our neighbour is empathising withyou; hthey were tryin to get the roof on their new room beofre the storms yesterday apparently; dont think they managed it, so its all wet! That wouldve been around the time I was standinf on the hgard shoulder getting drenched while 3 small boys found a wee tree

EachPeachPearMum · 01/09/2008 10:36

mrm- you are mad
you are supposed to be resting that foot!

Phoenix · 01/09/2008 20:19

One for Friz

How is everyone?

Mrm - If your foot is sore enough to need crutches, rest it you mad woman

We did our car boot sale on Sunday made about £90 and reduced the crap in our spare room

Phoenix · 01/09/2008 20:20

Jas glad you had a good holiday

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/09/2008 20:22

To echo EPPM, you are utterly nuts mrm!
Is ds1 back to school this week?

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/09/2008 20:25

Oh, had final scan today btw. They estimated his weight at 5lbs 6oz at the moment, but wouldn't project a birth weight. All good, and I only need to do blood tests 2 days a week from now on.

Jas · 01/09/2008 20:38

Thanks all

CSWS - Estimating birth weight based on scans is as good as useless.....everyone I know has had estimates that were very wrong (ds was predicted to be 9lb at my 36 week scan, and at 41+3 he was born at 7.13.)

Twice a week blood testing is good though. You must be doing something right

Yay for car boot money Phoenix. We should do one, but our local one is really bad now, and nothing seems to sell.

MRM - REST woman!...Sand in your bandages, and 5k on crutches....it will end up infected and you will get no sympathy at all

CantSleepWontSleep · 01/09/2008 20:50

Oh I know Jas, but interesting nonetheless . Was hoping they'd project a weight just so that I could laugh when it is miles out .

mustrunmore · 01/09/2008 21:23

Lol, bet your local car boot isnt as crap as ours Jas... usually only 4 stalls max! Did you love it phoenix? God,I love selling stuff!!!

No sand in bandages. I was very careful andwe only stayed 2 hours. ds1 very excited to catch a crab And I'm doing the 5km cos its my favourite run of the year, I've done it since way bweofer the boys (1998 maybe?), I've already paid my fee so I dont want to waste it. And I've already put 6lbss back on since stopping exercising so #I need ot keep in the right frame of mind. 5km is only 3 miles you know, so not too far on crutches at all.

csws; no he's not back till 12th And then on half days for a month
