SPB, my next door neighbour who had come to stay with B whilst I went to hospital delivered K, with the assistance of 2 paramedics. Midwife arrived later.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/07/2008 21:40

It is true though, Christmas really changed my outlook on the world, things that would have knocked me over before I can brush off now. You guys did something truly wonderful for me and I will always remember that

Ah yes, I did know that I think Eddas! I forget what people's real names are! My Facebook is playing up now but I will make friends with you when it lets me! Mammyjo is JN.

That's right Eddas - I rememeber lurking and thinking your baby was NEVER going to turn up I wouldn't mind being pregnant - apart from the throwing up and the arguing with doctors - actually what am I saying - I would mind! I definately am not up for another birth. The three I've had were great - the last one especially so but I don't need to do that again. The real clincher (apart from all the usual boring money/space/time issues) is that I just don't feel the need of another child. i've got three who are a fab team and that's my lot! Fortunately dh agrees

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/07/2008 21:42

Yvie said I was still the greatest PA ever

Doobydoo · 14/07/2008 21:44

Eddas · 14/07/2008 21:44

thanks nl, i looked back over our threads, the millions of threads, around ds' bday and was at all the talk about me being late

thanks bramshott, i'll see if the PA can link me to you

POTC, do ya want a hug

NorthernLurker · 14/07/2008 21:46

POTC - Christmas was definately an example of good things happening to those who deserve them

SOL - what a fab neighbour! Does she remember the experience fondly?

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/07/2008 21:46

I have messaged you all with a list of who you are

And no, Eddas, I do not want a hug

OP posts:
Eddas · 14/07/2008 21:47

are you sure

Bramshott · 14/07/2008 21:47

No more babies for me - DH would divorce me / we can't afford it / we have no space for more / I am risking another DVT. But because the decision is made, I can feel sad and wistful about it, whereas if it was not made, the thought of more would terrify me!

Oh, and while we're being philosophical, Mammyjo was posting the other night about regrets etc, and I was going to post and say that when I am thinking like that, it's always good to think "can I imagine rowing with another person about whose turn it is to put the bins out?"! It's very easy to think that you are not appreciated and that there might be someone else who would be more considerate etc, but then there's never anyone else other than your DH who you have to deal with all the domestic crap with if that makes any sense?!? (Remember that I have had 2 gin and tonics!)

NorthernLurker · 14/07/2008 21:47

Eddas - as someone who was 14 days late, 7 days late and then 8 days late (just) with B - you have all my sympathy!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/07/2008 21:47

When I went to the SW meet-up I had to laugh, MJ grabbed me and said she was giving me a hug just so she could say she'd made POTC do hugs

OP posts:
NorthernLurker · 14/07/2008 21:49

That's a good point Bramshott.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 14/07/2008 21:50

You'll probably get one or two drunken ones on the 25th

Just keep me away from the Cocktails/Sambuca/Marines*

*delete any two of the above for a calmer night out

OP posts:
Eddas · 14/07/2008 21:51

lol potc, i may have to do that when we meet up

nl, dd was 14 daysa late and ds was 11, i think i am programmed to cook my babies for 42 weeks

bramshott, lovely way to put things. I often think like that, couldn't imagine dh being any other person tbh(yes I have had to v&c's and no he's not reading this as I type)

Doobydoo · 14/07/2008 21:52
