Having a soppy moment, that's sort of how I feel about being here with you girls sometimes

elkiedee · 16/07/2008 07:07

Oh poor T, sick again? You were up early SPB! Hope he's better soon.

Sexonlegs · 16/07/2008 07:27

Morning

IDOC, lovely to see you. S and E are gorgeous. E looks incredibly grown up. Would be great if you are free on the 26th. No firm plans re location, but a date in place at least!

Elkie, glad the scan went well. What a relief. Hope you are feeling ok.

SPB, what's up with T? Poor wee man.

Dippy, lovely news re your friend

K is soooooo grizzly already. Have given her nurofen already!

Right, need to get on.

See you all later.

StealthPolarBear · 16/07/2008 07:38

He just vomited a few times this morning. Not sure why - he was coughing but not violently. Really hope this isn't here we go again...

StealthPolarBear · 16/07/2008 07:38

SOL, what do you think is up with K?

liath · 16/07/2008 07:48

Morning!

Lovely to see you IDOC, your girls are gorgeous.

Hope you had a good night, POTC .

Leaky - glad you're feeling more positive & hopefully something can be done about the nausea.

Belated happy birthdays to all I missed . Hi to everyone, apologies for the usual lack of personals.

Mammyjo, Sydney is top of my list of places I'd like to emigrate to. Very .

All well here. DH is having a very tough on call week but got mistaken for a medical student the other day so was quite tickled by that. I think the lady in question must have been visually challanged and was probably on a ventilator but it's flattering nonetheless, especially considering DH's rapidly retreating hairline.

Am escaping and going hill walking on Sunday with my dad and my sister. I mentioned to my sister that I wouldn't fancy going if it's tipping down but she rather grimly said that she was bloody well leaving her ds's with her Dh & walking whatever the weather - I think her boys are being a bit of a challenge at the moment .

Have a good day everyone, am off to take poor ds for his MMR.

StealthPolarBear · 16/07/2008 07:51

lol at your young looking DH!
Hope the MMR goes well, T seemed fine after his, no temp or anything

actually...could this sickness be related?

liath · 16/07/2008 07:54

I remember dd having a reaction after her MMR but it was more rash & fever IIRC. Hope T settles, poor thing.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 16/07/2008 08:28

Am pmsl at the talk of it running down your legs

Yes, I had a very good night thank you

elkie - glad it went well at the scan, try to not worry about things, I know it's not easy but what will be will be if that makes sense

checked the packet, I have to have taken 2 days for it to be effective, which I have, thankfully! (used to be a month elkie but they've changed with the times!)

now off for a very long day at work hurriedly trying to catch up on all the work I brought home to do last night then got distracted

OP posts:
oooggs · 16/07/2008 08:28

morning

IDOC - wow E is looking so grown up and S not far behind

ellie - hope you had a good night

dooby - hope things pick up soon

mj - 3 stone wow - thats amazing (I have no won't power)

Katy - it would be a little one!!!!!! The others are slotting into life quiet well and T - when did he have his MMR?

Liath - a med student - not suprised he was made up

sol - poor K - Katie & Tristan are in poorly sync again

Bramshott - does the reception year go fast????

Well the builder (due 8-8.30) wasn't here by 9.15pm (past my bedtime) so I rang him and he had forgotten could he come now (dh said yes, otherwise it could be another two weeks!!). He arrived at 9.45pm and left at 10.45pm plans now going to the council!!!!!

He said he could be ready to start in 10-12 weeks dh nearly passed out!!!! We thought next summer, but don't want to put him off so it maybe before or just after Christmas.

We have been saving hard but now need to start begging, robbing banks & selling children to fund it .

I know it will be worth it and it is only going to take 12 weeks (I hope) and I will never find time to keep the house clean after this

PillockOfTheCommunity · 16/07/2008 08:28

that T is poorly again SPB, it must feel like it's never ending for you

OP posts:
StealthPolarBear · 16/07/2008 08:39

mammyjo · 16/07/2008 09:10

Morning all!

IDOC, lovely to see you and gorgeous pics of your girls. Glad you are all doing ok xx

SPB, hope T is ok now. F has had a hacking cough for a few nights now which has made her a bit sick a couple of times, but she is otherwise well in herself.
Lol at aussie words in my cv!!

Bramshott, I know exactly what you mean about the step up to year one.

Elkie, glad the scan was ok, fingers crossed that the blood results are good too xx

CD, congrats to your friend on her baby boy

Oooggs, eeek to mess of extension, but it will be fab once it is done!

POTC, glad your evening was good

SOL, hope K is ok now xx

Off into work later to see my boss. Am in the process of making fishcakes for tea so that I am prepared for dinner when I get back!

oooggs · 16/07/2008 09:12

CaptainDippy · 16/07/2008 09:49

EXCITING about your loft conversion oooggs - bit too!

CaptainDippy · 16/07/2008 09:53

Thank you oooggs xx

StealthPolarBear · 16/07/2008 10:14

oh Dippy Did you ever go to see docs?
T woke up after going back to bed, non worrying nappy, bath, feeds etc, now playing outside with a rice cake so seems fine. Hopefully it was nothing...

mammyjo · 16/07/2008 10:20

Oh Dippy {{{{hugs}}}} to you. Hope you are ok. Is there anyone you could see in RL that might be able to help you out? Did you discuss your feelings with the GP?
When one of us is feeling down, I always wish we lived closer together to be able to help out. Just a chat and a cup of tea works wonders for me!

SPB, glad T seems to be ok now. Phew!

mammyjo · 16/07/2008 10:20

Thanks oooggs for the comment about my photos! Took me ages to get them on there, and there isn't even that many!

CaptainDippy · 16/07/2008 10:49

Been to dr's twice and he thinks it's just a viral something or other - have anti b's ... keep forgetting to take them Must try harder! Problem is I am so knackered and busy I can just feel myself getting iller and iller and there's nothing I can do about it. I probably need a damn good rest in bed for a day or two; but it is never going to happen

P's not settled for her nap properly the last three mornings either, which is completely stressing me out. I am hoping it is just teeth / a phase because I need the morning to work / get some time to myself

leakyR · 16/07/2008 11:19

Oh Dippy I hope you get some rest and feel better soon.

Elkie - I'm glad everything seemed well with scan. My friend found out yesterday that she's having a boy. Joseph Arthur will be arriving in November

SPB and SOL hope T and K are feeling better today. Amazingly George seems to have been much healthier since we moved here. I thought he'd have the constant snotty nose and bug thing when he started his new nursery, but he's been fine. They do seem to be much more thorough about hygiene and cleaning at this new place and there are fewer children in his room. The place in Leeds wasn't dirty by any means, but the standards did seem to slip a bit just before we moved.

MJ - my little bro moved to Perth, Western Australia last November. It looks amazing and he seems to have found his feet.

I am tired today. Because I've been poorly and off work the last couple of days I've been sleeping during the day. felt mile better by last night but couldn't sleep!

Going to the Trafford Centre when G wakes up. Need some retail therapy

oooggs · 16/07/2008 11:42

Trafford Centre leaky you are so lucky to live near somewhere decent to shop - as for the sleeping, I keep collapsing into bed very early then am awake from 4am so a vicious circle really

dippy - you must take the anti b's and finish the dose (says a total hypocritic)

Just had a lovely shower, but when I got out I heard a van pull up outside, rushed to dress and looked out the window - it was my tesco shopping - not due til 12-2 - so I have just chucked it all in the garage with a towel on my head - very attractive [not]

the plus side is that I am not eating fresh rolls and ham for an early lunch
