A kiss POTC

Enjoy tonight you dirty minx!

Night Dooby.

Hi MJ. Can I ask, what contraceptive you went for after you tried the pill (the name of which I have forgotten) I think we went on it at about the same time and came off it soon after .

mammyjo · 15/07/2008 21:37

Night POTC and Dooby xx

SOL, I was on Cerazette (I think!). I am now on nothing at all and am careful, use condoms (bleugh) or don't have sex!!!
I want to go back on the combined pill though. I couldn't before because of my weight, but I have lost 3 stone this year so hoping it will be ok now. I was on it years ago with no problems at all. I just need to find the time to get to the GP and sort it out.

Bramshott · 15/07/2008 21:45

And now tonight, because I've had no gin, I am feeling very dull with nothing to say.

I am watching The Piano on DVD which is not as good as I remembered it being, or maybe I am just not in the right mood.

Dooby - sorry to hear that things are not good with DH job. These are worrying times at the moment aren't they.

Sexonlegs · 15/07/2008 21:47

Thanks MJ, sorry to ask such a personal question. I am not on anything either - use the horrid condoms or fend dh off with a big stick!

I need to go on something that controls my hormones. I am so incredibly short tempered at times to the point of throwing things across the room I need to visit the docs as well and sort something.

Bramshott · 15/07/2008 21:54

I'm with Maveta (think it was her) on this one - I love condoms because they contain all the mess

StealthPolarBear · 15/07/2008 21:55

I use the big stick too - it's 100% effective if used properly.

Sexonlegs · 15/07/2008 21:57

pmsl SPB! I generally use the "pretend to be asleep" method! Works a treat

Bramshott, I lke Mav's theory - there is nothing worse than "that" running down your leg during an important meeting - eughhhhhh!

AngeG · 15/07/2008 21:59

Hello

I'm with Maveta and Bramshott.

Just watching Holby City!

Sexonlegs · 15/07/2008 22:02

Hi Ange Bye Ange Night all. Need sleep.

It is B's sports day tomorrow morning! May be called up to do some.... sport!

StealthPolarBear · 15/07/2008 22:03

urgh SOL hope you manage to avoid it

AngeG · 15/07/2008 22:03

Night SOL. Enjoy the sports day

Bramshott · 15/07/2008 22:07

I avoided doing any sort of running at N's sports day by having O with me. There were some very competitive mums there though!

mammyjo · 15/07/2008 22:14

Enjoy yourself SOL!

Off to bed myself now. Have to go in and see my boss tomorrow, then back to work next week. And I have been sitting here revamping my CV!!

Night all xxx

StealthPolarBear · 15/07/2008 22:18

Have you dropped in loads of Australian words?

Bramshott · 15/07/2008 22:23

Okay, that's me done for the night. Is it really only Tuesday? How can it be only Tuesday?!

Had N's parents evening tonight, and felt a lump in my throat at the thought of her leaving the nice cosy Reception class with the toys and the lovely cuddly teacher, for the scary Yr1/Yr2 class with twice as many children which feels like a different ball game altogether. Sure she'll take it in her stride though - it's just me who'll be a nervous wreck!

Idreamofchocolate · 15/07/2008 22:35

OK rather than lurk forever, I thought I'd come and say hello (and POTC told me to). Yes we're all still alive, life still passing by in one big speedy blur, am astonished every day at how quickly time is passing by, and how much the DDs are growing (growing up in Emily's case).

Sophie is toddling around everywhere, is very determined and confident, knows her own mind and tries to boss all of us around already. I really do worry how she'll be when she hits the terrible twos. Having said that, I do appear to be her very favourite person still, she wobbles over to me for a cuddle every so often, so I can manage her strong little character.

Emily is about to finish year 1 at school, and is becoming quite the young lady (that includes having an "attitude" on occasions - any tips on that joy gratefully received). Generally she is maturing, is good company and great fun to be with. I am looking forward to a few days of just me and her during the summer hols when S is at nursery. Planning to do fun stuff like Legoland (fun?), cinema, London trip etc. See, it does get easier!

So that's us really. Have stuck a couple new pics on my profile so you can see my gorgeous little ones. And that's me off to bed to recoup before tomorrow's madness. xxx

elkiedee · 15/07/2008 22:41

Hi all, sorry to be so late with my news, was crashed out on the sofa/talking to mum/looking up something on the internet.

Scan results seem to be ok as far as I can guess, I got a bit nervous about the frown on the sonographer's face but I think she was just concentrating. The scan got a good view of the baby, and was consistent with 12+1 (relief). First time round with D though I had combined test I was told the nuchal fold was normal right away, whereas this sonographer was firm that she couldn't tell me, it was meaningless on its own. My research says the measurement is normal range, but I am of course even more ancient than last time and the blood test results can change things.

Night all, hope you have fun POTC, but you need to have taken a month's Pill starting at the right date (start of your period isn't it?) for it to be effective. I used the Pill when I was really young and briefly again in my late 20s but have stuck with condoms since then.

elkiedee · 15/07/2008 22:41

Hello and goodnight IDOC.

x posts Elkie. Glad the scan went well. How long will the blood test results take?

elkiedee · 15/07/2008 22:51

A week or two apparently - bad news by phone, good news by post, so I'll panic any time I get a mobile call I don't recognise.
