DKMA

daisy - If you are doing local collection only you could put about arrabging viewing before bidding finishe, and do not bid if you don't intend to buy?

DH is doing that thing where they breathe loudly...

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 23:31

aaaarrrgggggghhhhhh scary...have just done my first ebay listing, but it isn;t appearing till thursday to allow it to finish next sunday. yikes. I hope the fact that I only have a feedback score of seven doesn;t put people off. I did have another account but it was hijacked so I had to close it and then start again.

DD is being very grizzly....I think the vaccs might have kicked in!

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 23:39

dkma......can you cancel your meetings?

your nursery won't take him anyway if he has been vomitting, will they? or is DH staying at home?

This is the bit they don't tell you about when you have kids, how awful it is when they are poorly and you have to go to work and leave them and how guilty it makes you feel.

justRia · 08/07/2008 23:44

there are lots of bits they don't tell you...

night all. Hope DD sleep well daisy, and DS is feeling better DKMA. and all the other gorgeous babies too (apart from mine. I want DS2 to need me in bed with im so I don't have to sleep with DH. If only DH would sleep in DS2s bed then I could have DS2 and baggins to cuddle)

Can I have good luck vibes for DS1please. Cycling proficiency test tomorrow morning and then play in the afternoon (apparently he burst into tears today because he forgot his lines, and he has been arsey like his dad since). Poor boy suffers so much with anxiety

Rx

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 23:47

good luck for DS for tomorrow Ria ....mine does the same by the way, tears and then arseyness; I'm dreading sports day on Friday

DKMA....i hope DS is better in the morning and that you get a bit of sleep tonight.

LittleMissNorty · 09/07/2008 08:24

Hope DS is feeling better DKMA and it was just something he ate?

Good luck to DS Ria

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 09/07/2008 09:18

good luck hope he does well ria.

anyone around at this hour?

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 09:51

have I missed you natty?...and norty?

hope all the poorliness is better this morning.

I feel like a bag o shoite this fine (for the moment) morning. Went to bed too late, and no sooner was I in bed than DD woke up screaming. As soon as I picked her up she cuddled in, but wouldn;t let me put her back in bed. Got her back down after half an hour and then she was awake again 40 mins later for an hour. So, I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning....and to cap it all I forgot DSs lunchbox so I have to go out again.

DD is grumpy mare from grumpland as well as she is tired too......fun and games!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/07/2008 09:56

Hi all. Hope DS better today DKMA. And hope DH less twunty and DS does well today Ria.

Still got some D (as in D&V) here So not going out as I sneezed earlier and

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 10:00

oh, jammy . Hope things settle down soon for you.

I had a really bad case of gastr-enteritis when I was 18 and the doc advised me clear fluids for 24 hours, then light soups/broth for another 24 then light solids (fish/chicken/rice) for a further 24. It really nipped it in the bud after I had been suferring for over a week. I do that religiously every time I have a D&V bug now and it really helps.

DD has just turned the telly over to Cbeebies....clever girl

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 09/07/2008 10:08

I did the whole resting the stomach thing - hardly ate for 3 days (Thurs/Fri/Sat), just didn't fancy it tbh. Sunday I had to eat because I was so faint and washed out, but it was light, sandwiches & soup. But going for a nearly normal diet Mon & Tues obviously didn't agree. We are driving to Cumbria tomorrow, so hope things improve.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 10:14

Oh dear, hope everyone is ok. Seems the D&V is going around a bit, you poor things!

Rain is shit !

I am sat here in my dressing gown again! I am so lazy. The kids are in their pjs too, but I just can't be bothered. The weather is getting me down as we have been stuck inside all week. I have to go out later though as I have to take dd to preschool. I don't have wellies or a raincoat...I'm going to get soaked!!

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 10:16

I hope it settles quickly for you; nothing worse than long car journeys and a strange bed when you are feeling poorly.

DD is trying to put on the new top I bought her at the weekend, it's really sweet (the trying and the top of course)

she is taking more and more steps every day now...so it won't be long before we can say she is officially walking.

oh, and she fell downstairs this morning . I had just nipped up to get a jumper for DS, and left the gate as she was occupied in the living room. Heard an almoghty crack and then screaming, but DS said she only went down one or two steps....the crack was the stair gate hitting the shelf unit we have at the bottom of the stairs and DD was wedged upside down with her arms under the gate and her bum in the air

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 09/07/2008 10:21

sorry was tied up with kids lol

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 09/07/2008 10:23

aww daisy we have all been there lol

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 10:23

Ds fell all the way down our stairs the other day and we have really steep and really scary stairs! He was ok, but it was the shock of my life! He was up there in about 10 secs and I'd just reached the bottom of the stairs when he fell down head first! I'll remember the sound for the rest of my days, I was shaking life a leaf for about half an hour afterwards! He cried for about 5 mins and then ran off and played. It took me much longer to recover!

Well done to dd with the walking daisy!

Right, I'm going to go and have a bath!

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 09/07/2008 10:26

holly a bath during th chilrens daylight hours.. wow very very

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 09/07/2008 10:31

Not alone natty, the dcs will come in with me! I never get a bath on my own!! Right, I'm off now!

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 10:38

oooh, am ver impressed. DD has a really nasty runny bum this morning and the multi-adjustable nappies that can not be named have managed to contain all of it.....nothing even escaped onto the wrap and she has been paddling around with it dirty for 10 minutes .

She is sneezing as well this morning; I hope this is just from the jab yesterday and isn't some horrible bug that she is coming down with.

DS went head first downstairs at about 15 months. I was behind him with a hand on his shoulder and he just slipped away from me.....was one of my most horrific parenting moments as he went head over heels three or four times and only the clothes horse at the bottom of the stair stopped him from hitting a concrete wall. Of course, being mt pfb, I took him to hospital but he was fine....just a big bruise on his forehead where he hit the handrail post at the bottom.

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 09/07/2008 10:47

y can they not be named daisy? you mean the ones you showed me the other day?

poor ds lol tom did that to me a few weeks ago bless him!

OP posts:
lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 10:49

different ones Natty, but all testers have had an email saying we cannot discuss the products on internet forums or else we will be pulled from the test. Can't see how they can enforce it, what with nicknames and all, but they are more than welcome to my laundry bucket full of shitty nappies if they want them back

lackaDAISYcal · 09/07/2008 10:51

but it was these

I think we had agreed on the 21st.

Are there no campsites around mhc....you could bring the bongo

Still considering one, but not sure about it being the main family vehicle given the price of diesel and the fuel sconomy of them.

right I'd better get DSs lunch to him before it's too late!

Rain holding off so far here and it is very very warm and sticky so maybe my nappies will get the chance to dry on the line

NattyEcoWarriorPrincess · 09/07/2008 11:04

lmao
how do you get involved with testing i would to do that
