I'm really excited I put an ad an gumtree about doing some self employed work and have had a few responses So I might be able to earn some more cash which'll help us enormously. Nothing set in stone yet but it's hopful at least

Hi all

Big thank you to all your reassurances about W. Came as quite a shock because we were just meant to be having a check up from the chest drain. I even told dh not to bother coming, as we'd only be hanging around the hospital, and he'd waste a days holiday Feel so much calmer about it now. Esp as he managed to tip a cup of rather warm coffee over his hands, so I've had something else to worry about He's ok though.

Re boys - yep, totally agree (although haven't got girls, so can't really compare) that the dirtier something is, the more they will want to play with it. J hates his hands being dirty, but has no problem with the rest of him And he's just discovered how much fun picking his nose is
Have it double now though, as W is trying to copy everything J does

Yep, been fairly sunny here all day POTC

P is dribbling like a loon, very clingy .... definitely teeth, poor lamb.

oooggs · 10/07/2008 19:27

weather has been sunny and dry here as well

Jacks problems are his teeth too - nos. 13 & 14 on their way through so that is what the problem has been at night

Luce - where are you?

Quickie for you ladies:

Is it normal/ok for babies (our ages) to be sleeping in pushchairs at nursery?

OP posts:
oooggs · 10/07/2008 19:46

its been a lovely day today

terrible - so tired and sick all the time. Have spent the morning in ds1's bed (cos didn't want to disturb dh who was in our bed after nightshift) and the afternoon on the sofa watching Casualty, Holby City & Location x3.

the weather doesn't help cos could do with going to a park while they run riot, burn off energy and I sit and watch

hope you had a good journey home and good luck and safe journey for you know who tomorrow - you know what I mean

oooggs · 10/07/2008 19:48

gm - ds1 didn't because he was a nightmare to sleep during the day anywhere but only occasionally.

oooggs · 10/07/2008 19:49

yes I do think it is ok if really needed but not normal

It's not 'normal' GM but it is used by some nurseries to avoid buying the extra cots they would require. Unless it has been requested by the parent as some children will only sleep during the day in their pushchair!

At M & J's nursery there is a sleep room, completely seperate with it's own door and monitors which has 6 cots in, and then sometimes J will sleep in the baby chair thingy, or on a mattress in the corner of the playroom, depending on him and how sleepy he is, and how many babies they have asleep at once.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/07/2008 19:55

Those of you on facebook - YvieE is on there, I have found her
Have given her a list of names of those of you on there so she can look you up, just warning you so you know who it is! (I think she's fairly easy to work out, except it's the long version of her first name and her surname begins with A!)

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/07/2008 19:56

Oh, and Pesha is missing because she's too busy shagging

There might have been a cot or two, but there were at least 3 children 1+ asleep in pushchairs? Is it bad? Should I forget about this nursery? Bit stumped if so as its the only one near by that can take him

geordieminx · 10/07/2008 20:00

It wasnt a seperate room - just the normal room - after lunch lights get turned down and its sleep time - although there were 1 or 2 boys playing in the same room.... oh dear, this doesnt sound good

Ta.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/07/2008 20:01

depends what's important to you really GM, but I personally wouldn't want to use a nursery where they had to put the babies down in pushchairs to sleep.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/07/2008 20:01

bugger off Rhubs!

Goober · 10/07/2008 20:02

Hiya, Pillock. Just found your message. Thanks. Sorry about your Nan. It is a shit time. Is it the funeral tomorrow? Or are you going to view your Nan? My Mum died last week. I went to see her yesterday.
We are having a proper hard time of it.
Genuine reason for vannishing from other thread, see.

PillockOfTheCommunity · 10/07/2008 20:02

but then I'm an awkward one who won't let my children say ta, so I guess I'm odd
