The thread title is for the January babies who have become/are soon to be big brothers and sisters

Can't remember all from last thread except
Wilie congrats on the move and hope visit to vino goes broodily well
eandh - potty?!! Aleady?!! I'm only just getting there with ds1!!
DH - I went to a wedding on due date with ds1, but that was because I wanted him out. Alas, despite energetic ceilidhing, to no avail! Also went to Halifax for a wedding when about 38 weeks with ds2 (on Loosh's ds's bday in fact!), was a little nervous in case I went into labour so far from home, but didn't exactly expect to go early (just as well, eh?). But I guess is different if you're going for a c/s

E has crocs too - for wearing in the garden at grandads as he wears them in the garden too so the crocs live outside the back door there. Yesterday it was sweet, she saw them and tore her pretty sandals off shouting 'shoes shoes' to put her crocs on. Sorry Wilkie!!!!

Gonna try and have a nap now as Sylvie is aleep and I think if I lie down I'll soon nod off. Been to see a friend and 6 week old this morning which was a good walk there and back.

Rgee - any afternoon w/c 21 July is fine, whenver suits you.

i bought one of those little tikes dragon seesaws yesterday fora fiver - outside someones house as I drove by. I felt like my mum!

Mrs C glad you are feeling ok.

Argh - loads of posting...

LTH - Next time you are going to the bootsale give me a buzz and we could share chips there!

Vino - nice bargain see saw!

Dragon - I am so jealous of the charlie and lola exhibition. Its only on up North. I'm gutted!

Lal - love the goldfish story! Good thinking on the part of your DP!

Eah - 8th of September??!?!?! OMG! I'd leave the WW until after that. You're going to need a whole lot of wine to get through the next few weeks! (if you fancy a day trip to Eastbourne let me know!)

Wilkie - £300!!!! Thats amazing. Whats he done?

UD - Hope all is well, whats the plan with you moving? Are you looking in the same area or different?

PCF - Hope Alex is feeling better. How long is he off over the summer? Again - come and visit Eastbourne!!!

  • We could have a southern Jan 07 thread meet up at Drusillas or something?! - or up the Long Man if UD would prefer!!
Lizzzombie · 15/07/2008 15:19

ps - I myself have no crocs. DP has some. They look like lesbian shoes imo. But, they are very very comfy. I brought the camoflage faux crocs for DJ as the beach here is really pebblie and he gets cross when his doodles get wet from the sea.

Lizzzombie · 15/07/2008 15:21

Oh, Oh, DP's niece brought DJ some real proper baby UGG boots back from Australia which she gave him this weekend. They are a very tight fit.... would it be awful to ebay them?!!

These but in natural colour.

eandh · 15/07/2008 15:23

Lizz - that could well be on the plan over the next 7 weeks and the worst bit is that stupid dh told Ellie that its her birthday before she goes back to school (yes the day before she goes back so 7.5weeks away) and now she is going on and on and on about how she 'isnt 3 anymore I'm almost 4' if it continues like this then she won't be seeing her 4th birthday

Just text Eddas and arranged a night out with her (no kids) and a playdate for next week and another friend invited us tehre next Thursday I think we'll be seeing lots of people over next 7.5 weeks

eandh · 15/07/2008 15:25

Lizz - no do it and buy him other shoes that fit

Wish you hadnt thinked that site found pink converses in baby sizes

eandh · 15/07/2008 15:25

thinked = linked!

Lizzzombie · 15/07/2008 15:34

He has these too. But they are rubbish and don't stay on.

eandh · 15/07/2008 15:35

Next do some like that that H has so cute (and they stay on) and were only £4

laughalot · 15/07/2008 15:38

I love converse trainers l had a pink pair but they no longer fit she needs some more

Lizzzombie · 15/07/2008 15:49

Brought one of these at work today. Had a customer rave about how wonderful they are. Waiting for DJ to wake up and try it out.

I've just inhaled a big whiff of oven cleaner. Not nice. I think I've stripped the inside of my nostrils!

Also, can I just recommend Vanish Carpet cleaner. Its very good. DP's sister spilt a whole glass of red wine on our pale carpet. !! But, it has got rid of 99% of it! phew!

Hmm, not sure that a beaker could solve that one PCF. DJ does that with all of the beakers we have on any given day. It depends on how thirsty he is I think. Sometimes he gulps it down properly. Sometimes he plays with it in his mouth and dribbles it out.
Nice.
Gotta love little boys.

Luke finishes preschool tommorrow and has a party too. Not looking forward to the afternoon as he will be bouncing off the walls after all the sugar and excitement!

No crocs here either. Round here they are a bit yummy mummy for me. We are too scruffy for them I think!

Laughalot- 20 4 year olds!!! You are brave! Pics look lovely too.

Lizz- Makes a change that something is just up north though!

Wilkie- Shopping with no children...mmm...what's that like then?! Just say that is it to make up for all the previous times you have done it all!

Pink- Hope A is ok and you didnt go too mad today. I have a feeling we will all be ranting through the summer!

Day 1 of the holidays - H up at 5.20, E up at 5.57. We are dressed, they are eating breakfast and all we are doing today is dentist at 9.50 and walk to papershop later only 53 days left till preschool restarts!!!

Wilkiepedia · 16/07/2008 08:37

Right ? I am going to do personals (don?t die of shock). I?m just too self absorbed busy to do them usually! But loads of chat and I have some useful input

LAL ? the photos are fantastic! PMSL at the goldfish. My mum did that once with a hamster BUT my hamster was gold and she bought a white one! Needless to say I noticed?

EAH ? sorry about the breakfast! Also sorry I didn?t get back to you, J was a nightmare ? defo teething his canines!! I don?t think I have room in his little room for any more stuff but thank you for looking! Am now just looking for rocket/space themed bits and bobs such as cushions etc for the room.

Lizz ? you are queen of links! Personally I would ebay the Uggs. No point in ruining them if he will only be wearing them for five minutes. Carpet cleaner ? I don?t like Vanish, it bleached my old carpet ? I swear by 1001. It?s great. That beaker looks good. I just bought and Avent non-spill one and it spills.

LTH - come join me. Bum about the bedstead ? that looks really cute. Could you not get a joiner to make something similar?

PCF ? I read that post as it being Alex?s 50th birthday! Ha ha

DH ? how are you doing? Feeling huge?? What is your due date? When do we need to start the sweepstake? Shopping with no child was FANTASTICO! I got an outfit from Coast, two tops, some killer heels, make-up and a ring. I actually came home with some money!! We are just doing well with the business so I may become one of those women that swans around in a 4x4, doing lunch, waving a platinum credit card and doing feck all else (sorry if any of you have a 4x4)

Right, well, I?m knackered now and am bound to have missed someone!!

Not much to report here. Am having a Teddy Bear?s picnic on Sunday with 9 adults and 11 children under 2.5!! Am I mad? The weather is supposed to be shite so it will prob be an indoor picnic.

vinorouge · 16/07/2008 08:42

e&h I have been up since 5 with Ellen. Last night Syvlie screamed from 8-10 when DH took her out for a walk. she promptly woke up when they got home, fed and finally went to sleep. Ellen had screamed when she went to bed too and fell asleep on the landing twice. She woke up when we put her into bed the first time so we left itlonger the next time. It feels like hardwork at those times...still we chose it. LTH I am full of admiration for you and your 4.

Today I am just going to see a friend and new baby (not yet named) then coming home to rest. Need to clear spare room so DH can sleep there for a few nights. He has an interview at work on TUes and is anxious about it and now worryng that he will be too tired to concentrate. If it makes him feel better about it I don;t mind him sleeping there for a bit.

Wilki e- whata lovely treat!

Lizz - I wish I lived by the beach.
