The thread title is for the January babies who have become/are soon to be big brothers and sisters

Can't remember all from last thread except
Wilie congrats on the move and hope visit to vino goes broodily well
eandh - potty?!! Aleady?!! I'm only just getting there with ds1!!
DH - I went to a wedding on due date with ds1, but that was because I wanted him out. Alas, despite energetic ceilidhing, to no avail! Also went to Halifax for a wedding when about 38 weeks with ds2 (on Loosh's ds's bday in fact!), was a little nervous in case I went into labour so far from home, but didn't exactly expect to go early (just as well, eh?). But I guess is different if you're going for a c/s

Lizz - he holds on to the top and swings himself over in a flash. Anything he can hang on, he can climb on. It comes up to his neck as well.

Tonight is the toddler bed and stairgate on the door, after the sodding school barbeque where I will be badgered to help despite having three children with me.

I think going to the bloody thing is supportive enough tbh. I can think of better things to do on a friday night.

theSuburbanDryad · 18/07/2008 18:28

I quite like those shoes. I think Wilkie and LaL are far too fashionable for the likes of us Lizzz But then I have just bought some Mary Jane style crocs to wear to work for when I am hideously fat and my feet swell up to twice their normal size!

Guadalupe · 18/07/2008 18:30

I quite like those shoes. How can you think they are horrible but like Birkenstocks though, surely they are quite similar in width and clumpiness?

A fick - just lost a 30 minute post

eandh · 18/07/2008 18:52

Guadalupe - sounds as if F has potential circus act going there!

LTH - glad you have discussed it fingers crossed for you

UD - how are you feeling?

Lizzzombie · 18/07/2008 18:54

I hate birkenstocks!
I think they make my feet look like hobbit feet. Plus they do weird things to the skin on my heels. (nice)!
The only probs with these shoes I want (apart from the price tag) is that the seam at the front is sort of weird and pointy up at the big toe end of the foot. So you look like an elf.

LTH - ok, will give Paradise Park a miss. Am thinking of going cycling along the Cuckoo Trail in Polegate. Have you done that?
Or, its Eastbourne Extreme (dude) Weekend too. Lots of sexy young skaters etc to be seen out and about!

LTH glad you've managed to talk to dh. Hope he understands.

Quick resume of lost post:
Lizz shoes yes
Vino Tues pm pencil me in
PCF did A get anything for winning (or is that not PC)
2H sounds like a great day except missing chocolate and wine
Eah went to Tesco today thanks to you and Lizz and got a trike for £9 to put away for Xmas.
Wilkie good luck for Sunday
Original post was much fluffier

eandh · 18/07/2008 19:16

LTH - I wouldnt assume it was because you disclosed yourself (I read the thread but had already posted on here) maybe it was time of night (I normally log off by 8/9pm) or other people had already posted what they would have advised. MN can be a great place but at imes it can be very cliquey and bitchy, the main thing is you have spoken to DH and are hopefully getting things back on track and tbh he has listened to you so you have done all you can do for now.

Rgee - glad you got the trike, I'm as my Nan bought trike and scooter the other week for H&E and both of them are now half the price

FIL just phoned to see if dh can play golf tomorrow morning, so now I cant go to Next sale and I'll have the girls all morning and I bet he only takes Hattie out for an hour sunday morning

eandh · 18/07/2008 19:32

lth was it you who wanted littlewoods direct furniture, if so some good discount codes here

No I have started threads where I've been lucky to get 2/3 replies and someone else (more in the clique) could start the same thread and get hundreds of replies, thats when I have to remember to step away from the computer and realise that its just the internet (and then get on msn to my best mates and moan on there instead )

2Happy · 18/07/2008 19:58

Good lord, I remember when I started a tyhread about the fuckoff enormous ruddy goat trying to batter its way into my house, got a handful of replies; but a MN-central-figure-type started a thread about my thread and got hundreds

But I don't think it's pathetic, LTH, you are one of those MN-central-figure-type people, you've been here ages, and some of the people here you'd think of as friends. Remember how hurt susiec was when we posted replies that she wasn't expecting/wanting? We may not really know each other exactly, but you lot probably know more intimate things about me and my life than RL friends (only one of whom knows about the DIY sweep, and that's because she MNs!!).
Maybe it was just a coinicidence, just bad timing of posts, like eandh said.
FWIW, you've posted on and off about certain twattish tendencies, and it must be hard in any relationship when the man's away for ages, then swans back and tells you how to do stuff you've been doing your way perfectly fine while he's away.
dh and I don't have wills (yes iknowiknow we'll do it) but I know guardians would be a massive sticking point. I would want my parents, he would want his and you can guess what I'd make of that idea! But you can't agree, ask someone, then go oops no, suddenly you're not good enough we've changed our minds

(is any of that coherent?!)

oh so cute glad to see its not just my 2 that 'body slam' each other

Wilkiepedia · 18/07/2008 21:47

Aw LTH. Don't take it to heart. People never post much on my threads and if they do, it is just you lot. MN is VERY cliquey but remember, as 2Happy says, we don't know each other, we are but words on an internet page apart from those who have met up. It is a very surreal place because you feel like these people are your 'friends' when in actual fact, I find they seem to spend time trying to come up with the wittiest posts to get on the roundup or front page.

I would stick to us lot if I were you. We all DO know each other reasonably well and you will at least get honest and constructive replies on here - perhaps even if it is not what you want. I like the fact I can rely on you lot for a good dose of realistic advice that you perhaps would not give in RL face-to-face.

I am glad you have spoken to DH, he needs to not take you for granted and value you more. Do you think it would help you rediscover YOURSELF and your confidence if you maybe got a small part time job? Maybe even offer to do a bit of parent support at the DS school? That is what my mum used to do before she went back to work - she did cookery class once a week with a group of about 6 children making simple cakes and biscuits and really enjoyed it.

Sorry if I waffled there! Brace yourself, big hug coming your way >

DH is asleep on the sofa and if he tells me ONE MORE TIME how busy his work is I am going to slap him across the face with a wet kipper. HE CHOSE HIS JOB!!!! Arrrghhhh!! I'M THE ONE WHO HAS TO PUT UP WITH NEVER BLOODY SEEING HIM!!

Got an extra head growing on my cheek, DH has called it Gertrude and talks to it as a separate entity Nice.

Wilkie - sorry but LOLOLOL @ Gertrude.

LTH - I've been trying to talk to you on MSN but you keep ignoring me.

EAH - feeling sick still. Dh had some chicken chow mein and now i think i might vom. I was never this ill with Z - do you think this means it's a girl?

theSuburbanDryad · 18/07/2008 21:57

GEORGE! GO TO SLEEP YOU LITTLE SHITBAG MONKEY!

Wilkiepedia · 18/07/2008 22:05

UD - yes very amusing until DH said to J - 'J, listen to Gertrude when she tells you to eat your dinner NOT mummy...'

He also offered to buy it a hat..

Bastard
