The thread title is for the January babies who have become/are soon to be big brothers and sisters

Can't remember all from last thread except
Wilie congrats on the move and hope visit to vino goes broodily well
eandh - potty?!! Aleady?!! I'm only just getting there with ds1!!
DH - I went to a wedding on due date with ds1, but that was because I wanted him out. Alas, despite energetic ceilidhing, to no avail! Also went to Halifax for a wedding when about 38 weeks with ds2 (on Loosh's ds's bday in fact!), was a little nervous in case I went into labour so far from home, but didn't exactly expect to go early (just as well, eh?). But I guess is different if you're going for a c/s

But...

It's not like your brood are going to get lonely is it? And i would have thought that your brother can devote the time that looking after 4 dc requires!

I think it is a really hard decision to make as Wilkie says. We asked dsis and bil as they bring their dd up in v similar way to us.

The thing you have to think about is what you are asking them to do. I mean, dsis wont have room for our 2/3 in their house so they would have to use some of the money we left in trust for dcs to buy a new house to fit everyone in. So there could be problems when they are in a big house and dcs need their inheritance for things like university etc. Not to mention that they would have to uproot too. They are only planning on having 2 children so suddenly they could have 4/5 which is a big difference. Would your BIL really be happy to move to make room for your kids (unless they live in a huge house already). I asked dsis and BIL not to answer straight away and to really think about it.

Wilkiepedia · 16/07/2008 19:14

LTH - but you have been here before with him haven't you - a while ago I remember you doing a thread where you were something like 'sicktodeathofhim' or similar.

Have you considered Relate? It sounds like a tough relationship

Reggiee · 16/07/2008 19:35

LTH I know you will squirm, but ((hugs)). Agree with everyone else, and hope you're ok. What else has been happening - I know ds1 has been a bit of a handful but didn't know your dh was being a pita?

Eah thanks for the book link. For once decided not to go for a freebie as I don't know what the books are. Wonder what book you'll get?

UD nom nom to Cumberland Pie. I just had 4 crumpets for my tea When you moving btw? I think I missed that bit.

Lal pmsl at poo story. We haven't had that yet but am sure it's only a matter of time.

Lizz did you get your shopping sorted? We have a series of 'regulars' we cook too. Maybe need to do a menu swap? Usual meals here are chilli/shepherds pie, veggie stir fry, chicken & mushroom pie mash & veg, thai chicken, pasta with sauce veg & garlic bread. In winter do lots more roasts and home made soups. Did Hunters chicken a couple of weeks ago and that was really tasty.

Hi Kat. 9 weeks off ....Hols sound fun for everyone but dh. Cycling c2c not my idea of a holiday

Hi Vino hope you enjoyed seeing your mate and got some sleep in today. DH sleeping in the spare room during P's early days worked really well for us but I know it's not for everyone. Am happy to come round and take S for a walk whilst you get some kip some point next week.

Wilkie where's my personal . I want to come on Sunday . On second thougths...11 kids.....??
Our anniversary on Saturday so pil are looking after lo and we're off out ... to the cricket then out in town. Pil are staying over so we get a lie in on Sunday too. Dh has booked us in to a fab castle in a couple of weeks to celebrate properly.

PCF we use the tommee tippee cups and a Boots one with a straw

Dragon how was the preschool party?

It's just taken me ages to write all this. Presume they'll be a million more posts by the time I send this. Not helped by a cat trying to wrap itself around my neck. Bizarre. Erm what else to say? LO is as cute as ever and no major tantrums so far this week

eandh · 16/07/2008 19:42

Rgee - I'll update you when book arrives

dh & kw3k - are you counting down days yet, I texted Eddas this morning and she sent me as back at my counting down (her dh off work this week so she has help at home )

Although dh home at 2pm today and him and the girls washed the cars (although H seem to wash herself more than the car) and took them to mcdonalds to feed them

Wilkiepedia · 16/07/2008 19:48

Rgee - sorry matey I told you I would have forgotten people!! PMSL at nom nom - meant to tell you that J now says it CONSTANTLY! I say it when he's eating his dinner as encouragement and now everytime you mention anything food related he says 'nom nom, nom nom'

Oh and this morning, he came into bed with me, wrapped his arms round me, snuggled in and nodded off for an hour. It was bliss until 8am. Made my heart melt. He has also started saying 'wuv-oo' (love you).

OK OK enough PFBness...

eandh · 16/07/2008 19:54

oh wilkie thats sweet, do you wnat to trade for a a pink version same age but you get licked when she kisses you and cuddles normally involve hair pulling, headbutting or you are only getting cuddled as a mean to get something else behind you?

Lizzzombie · 16/07/2008 21:17

rgee - I'm veggie so a menu swap - although a very good idea is not practical as i don't eat meat. Hmm...am really liking the idea though...may have to set up a thread in honour of this idea.

what else have you been up to? am unable to write a proper personal to you as you've not written any news down properly.
Full update please!

My hand is super scabby atm, have got drs appt on friday morning for blood tests to determine if there is any underlying issues. Dr just doesn't seem concerned but its now errupted in exczma ontop of the dermatitus. Nice. I don't understand why he (Dr) can't just recommend me to a dermatologist. Sorry. Will shut up now.

LTH - I'm sorry you are having a hard time. I think you are in need of a girls night out, we can do voodoo and everything I promise. x

Lizzzombie · 16/07/2008 21:34

thread here

Lizzzombie · 17/07/2008 07:45

Just had to show you this which I found online at work the other day.

here
Who on earth would buy this?
A rich goth rocker?
S&M club owner?

Imagine how nasty it would be when it got hot!!!!

I'll see if I can manage to sell one today!

eah - you need a new buggy don't you?

theSuburbanDryad · 17/07/2008 07:59

Lizzz - I've seen that before. Have you seen the price?

We're not moving yet RGee. We're trying to get a mortgage etc sorted so that when we do see a house we like we're in a better position to put in an offer etc!

katw3kitts · 17/07/2008 10:00

That pram is just rank.

eandh · 17/07/2008 14:09

lOL I don't need a new buggy anymore - I have a fab hot pink quinny zapp (dh hates the fact it is so pink)

If you have a big tescos near you go, I went this morning and got a 3 or 4ft trampoline (not sure) with enclosure netting for £25, pop up fairy tent (did pirates one) reduced to £5 (put that away for girl over the road birthday in spetember), velcro pad and ball catching game £1, bubble machine and bubbles £5 and loads of other bits and bobs that will either keep for xmas or in my party present drawer

We also got connect four, and I have been trying to teach Ellie how to play but she gets so stressed out if she doesnt win I have put it away again (I can so see me in her)

Lizzzombie · 17/07/2008 14:40

UD - I'd get you a discount for baby number 2 if you buy that pram!!!

KWK - I'd love to know who has brought it though!

EAH - I saw all those offers yesterday in Tescos, there is a Parachute game for £5 too. Could have gone very mad!

Guadalupe · 17/07/2008 14:42

Thanks for tax tip, EAH, I will ask dh later where we are with it.

eandh · 17/07/2008 16:00

Oooo I missed that Ellie loves playing that at preschool

Mrs C - they said the same to us re we should have realised (yes we did and we told them every month for 10months) thats why they rejected our appeal, however, not sure what our MP said but obviously overuled that decision!!

eandh · 17/07/2008 16:44

New bargain trampoline pic on profile!!

Pmsl at that pram It's awful.

Good bargains (as ever) Eah. Might have to nip to TEscos tomorrow.

This might sound really bizarre, but my cat is trying to type and really getting in the way . She's sat on me and the chair, but keeps reaching her paw out onto the keyboard. Mad. She was bonkers lasst night too. The other cat meanwhile decided to shit himself all over the bare matress in the sapre room (the covers were in the wash) so been scrubbing it with 1001 (? IS that the stuff WIlkie swears by? It worked well anyway)

Wilkie pmsl at nom nom. P runs her tummy and says it. Brilliant!

Not much to report Lizz. . Lo good fun, dh behaving himself, work good.

Eah - bargain woman - and anyone else. I understand Next sale starts on Saturday. Is anyone planning to go there early. Am considering a trip to stock up on aged 2-3 summer clothes. Got loads at Xmas sales.

Bed question too. Lo still sleeps in a sleeping bag. Am wondering whether to get her a duvet or leave that until I move her to a bed (timing unknown).

Anyone fancy a York(shire) meet up? Vino, Wilkie, Loosh, 2H, Kat, Lal - anyone else?

eandh · 17/07/2008 18:42

rgee - done my next sale shopping as got a vip online invite so ordered loads of 4-5 for Ellie and few bits for Hattie (she is still in 12-18months and we have loads of 18-24 and 2-3) would be worth going early as people tend to go in and buy laods then sort it when they get home and then return the stuff they dont want

Dragonhart · 17/07/2008 18:54

Rgee- Luke loved his party but all he can remember doing is eating cakes! Oh and Auntie Jackie (they call all the staff auntie) telling him he couldn't have any more cakes!

Wilkie- 34.5 weeks now. Due at end of Aug around the 26th. Having cs again though so should know by the end of the month what date all being well. Feeling huge and quite fed up already, think i might have SPD (where your pelvic bones basicaly fall apart!) and have a physio referal (after having a crap apt with useless midwife yesterday, saw doc who refered me) so waiting for appt. Luke keeps asking me if the baby has popped out yet and was very suprised to learn yesterday after feeling it kick me that it would have two legs ('two legs! Like me? And Ruth? And you. and two arms. Wow!'). Everytime I say to Ruth there is a baby in my tummy, she lifts up my top and looks at me as if to say 'where?!' Then laughs.

LTH- Hope you sort everything out with DH. Sounds hard work so hope you are ok.

Lizz- Who actualy thought 'I know what all mums want. A sweaty, black leather buggy. And they will want to pay £800+ for it, I am sure'

EAH- Bargains! I love Tesco for things like that. We have a huge one and it is crammed of stuff that is not food. DH wont go there with me as I take so long looking.

I was such a good mum today and watched films all afternoon with Ruth and Luke. We watched Cinderella which they sat transfixed for the whole film, then when the credits came up, Ruth started to clap! Then Cinderella, a twisted tale. Needless to say it rained here all day. Cant really walk very far atm and when we took the shed down at the weekend, we found rat droppings, and neighbour behind said she saw one in her garden, so environmental health are coming tom. Means I dont want the kids out in the garden and is my excuse for being a lazy mum all after noon
